If the prices continue to rise, I hope Nissan continues to make heritage collection body panels, so you can at least piece together a homebuilt kit car clone/replica with genuine parts.

I’d have to double check but I think Nismo are the ones reproducing old parts (I think it has to do with their restoration type programs)

@TheRacingJoker I read that they're not using dies to make these panels(the dies were probably scrapped many years ago), they use two robotic arms to press the sheet metal from each side, almost like manual metal forming but with robots.

What i’ve gathered from looking at the prices almost daily is that whenever one goes on Cars and Bids, Bring a Trailer, and Japanese auction sites is that it’s almost always the same 15-20 people bidding over $100k immediately when the car goes up for auction. They’re coming down and maybe might hit one more jump then settle. Same with GTT’s, i’ve seen the same GTT’s that were asking for $70k+ and now they’re $50k

That’s interesting, I didn’t even think to check and see if there were repeat bidders on other cars.

I’ve seen a few base model GTR’s sell for $90k-ish so they’re coming down. And guess what, 2 N1’s sold just under $300k on BAT when not too long ago people were asking $500k+ recently so people are starting to realize they’re not worth the insane prices

Look, it was inevitable that these 90s JDM cars would one day become collector cars and fetch collector car prices. Honestly I've done all 5 stages of grieving and accepted the fact R34 GTRs and many other JDM cars will only go higher and higher in price as the years pass. I really don't care at this point. Maybe when I'm older I'll have enough to afford these cars and maybe consider buying one. But rn imma start earning cash and start worrying about more important stuff in life.

Good video, I'm glad that you pointed out the "does this FEEL like its a 100k car?" You can get a lot of drivers car for 100K, depending what you're looking for. Then on top of that, will you be satisfied with it, as you're probably going to want to do vacuum line deletes, fuel management, ECU, all that just to bring it to modern standards.
I think that people use the R34 tagline as a reason to drive prices up and eventually it will reach a plateau where the price isn't justifiable to spend, even for a R34 GTR

Hahaha Houston Crosta blacklisted me from Royalty Exotic Rentals and said to me he’ll call the police on me if I ever step foot in the shop again.
The funny thing is that all I did was launch his Lamborghini Aventador a few times and one of his close friends happened to see me do it and then proceeded to call Houston and claim that I was “breaking his car.” Houston told me to bring his Aventador back immediately canceling my 24 rental 20 hours in, so I did. On my arrival I asked the manager if everything was ok with the car and if I was clear to rent cars in the future and he said, “Of course, no problem. And the car is fine.”
15 minutes later Houston took $2,000 out of my checking account without telling after and this is AFTER I’d already paid $2,400 for the 24 hour rental! That was the last of my money in my checking so my wife and I had to leave the next day which was my 30th birthday!
I emailed Houston and ranted at him that he should’ve at least warned me that he was going to pointlessly charge me $2000 extra, that I’d already rented three other cars from him totaling $2500, and that I was a huge fan of his who watched all his RUclips videos and bought all his merch. I told him that if he needed the $2000 he took from me that bad that he could keep it but that I’d never ever support him or his business again.
He emailed me three minutes later and said, “I’ve refunded your money back but you are blacklisted from my business for life.”
    🤣 ok bro.

The answer, is no, they're not worth the money they're going for. Same goes for S13's, S14's and anything from this era. They're all worth insane money (and i don't really understand why, after owning two S14's) I get that they're cool, and they were manufactuered when cars (especially cars of this caliber) were at the peak. (Not that anybody knew it at the time) but nostalgia has ruined the market for these cars, and so did the Fast and Furious Movies. (Not that I hate the fast and furious movies, i love em)
I think what drove the price up, was rich people paying insane money for them over the last 20 years, and now we're at a point where its out of hand, and now all cars of this era are harder to buy and to sell.

@@JDArcher GTT is not the same as a GTR Period. All that money invested to make it look like a GTR will never be recouped when selling. Those that have gone through the muscle car era of collectability will understand this. It's not the technology, it's simply the production numbers. Vintage Shelby mustangs are exactly like what the Skylines are going through. At least with Skylines the different models really reflected some differences in performance. A Vintage Shelby Mustang is 4-5x valued more than a stock Mustang yet you can mod up a stock mustang to be faster and look like a Shelby mustang but when you go to sell you will get called out. How do I know? I have had plain mustangs and a Shelby Mustang and also am a fortunate owner of a R34 GTR Vspec. Just look at the production numbers and you will see what is going on. @seekingtruth3228 to me this is the wrong way if thinking when it comes to cars that has created the issue with the market we have now. People are looking at cars as an investment. To me, they are not. If you have a GTT and you build it to what you want for $89k to $120k, drive it and love it, then the name plate doesn't matter. You're not building it with the idea of selling for profit, you're building it for the love of it. I currently have a R35 GTR and I daily drive it. It currently has over 130k on it. Now I could have stuck it in a garage, took it out once a month to cars and coffee and put it back. Would it be worth more on resale, hell ya, but would I have enjoyed it as much F no.
