Great video once again. You have the rare combination talent of charisma, filmmaking and music selection. You definitely have a future as a RUclipsr should you so choose. Looking forward to the next one.

It's uncanny that just how the video was filmed makes it feel retro. Some shots were so convincing you could have told me they were from the 90th and I would have believed it

Thanks for watching, mate! There’s something special about the aesthetic; it’s almost like the world truly looked that way as we see it through the cameras of the time. I think it’s because that’s our only window into that era now. Capturing moments on video is like having a time machine 📷

Aside from shopping malls not really being a thing in 90s Japan, the aesthetics haven’t changed too much here since the 90s.
If you were to try this in other countries, it might be a little more jarring.

Man I miss Japan. Looks great through the eyes of an oldschool camcorder

Well, not so much changed in Japan since 90s, so retro vibe fits

This is very true. I really want to pick up an 80s camera too but the hassle of getting the footage from the 90s one to my MacBook was already difficult enough haha

Footage makes my heart sing… I used to make so many videos in the mid-to-late 90s so it looks exactly like the videos of my youth.

It looks convincingly like it's filmed in 90s or early 2000s.
    Missed that era too...

You’d be right at home at a Japanese sports day event holding one of those… modern versions haven’t changed too much in form factor.

Too right, camcorders are still very popular here, I’ve always found that quite fascinating

It actually looks like its filmed on an iphone 14 with a 90s 90s tik tok filter
