I try to love the Kenworth but the main reason I don't use it is because of the trouble it has climbing hills, even when empty. I keep thinking it is bugged because of how bad it is on hills that other trucks fully loaded have no problems with.

The Tatra Force is a nightmare trying to use the crane to put something up the front of the bed. It just needs to be able to lift that smidge higher to get to that up front spot
Yes, that's true. I found the workaround to be detaching the cargo as close to the front as possible, then use the crane like a finger to drag the cargo all the way to the front before packing.
The Voron AE is really good, i think even better than the Tayga. My first experience with the AE was in the second map of Scandinavia, where you find the tipped over truck and trailer. Turned both upright, fixed up the AE, used it to deliver the cargo and it did really well in mud and snow even though it had highway tires on it by default. First of all thank you for this great video! As I went through the first maps I wanna stack goods now as well to make the singleplayerlife easier. How do you stack the concreteplates? is it an option in the menu or are they just supported by the crane being on top of them?
@@philwhite8904 This game kinda breaks when you start overloading your trucks with the crane XD. Because of the way the game's weight system works, unpacked cargo somehow weighs less than packed cargo, so manually loading huge cargo loads is perfectly feasible. I had to do 12 metal beams for a contract in Wisconsin, loaded em all manually on a wide flatbed semi trailer, was able to do it all in 1 trip, probably would've taken at least 3 otherwise.
using the crane to stack cargo on flatbed then using same crane to hold down the load . there are several examples of overloading in the video. overloaded cargo is not packed to bed @@Bigtinycrawler
I love the Kenworth simply for the high saddle fuel tank combo. Makes one heck of a mobile base. Gotta have the right tires for it though. Too grippy of tires will cause axle lock and make it hard to go up hills. I forget which mud tired I use but I use ones that have a slightly worse dirt rating so the tires have more of a chance to slip. Sometimes it also helps to turn off and back on the AWD to try to get the tires to spin. I've gone through places with that truck with a 5 slot trailer fully loaded plus the fuel tank full of fuel that other trucks have a hard time going through empty.
Yeah it's gonna be quite a while before you or I get these trucks... I'm here with ya. Right now the best trucks in MY game are anything I am *currently able* to equip with 4WD (diff lock is preferable, not mandatory though as long as other boxes are ticked), lifted suspension, and mud tires... Or in other words, the Fleetstar F2070A and the ANK MK38 civilian... Everything else has highway tires, or is lacking the absolutely essential: 4WD, at this time it seems.
Go to lake kovd and grab AWD for mh9500. It's super easy, I grab it the moment I get the first garage. You can buy a/t tires for Chevy scout instantly. Super easy route in lake kovd
I throw mine in Low + and let it eat hills are tough to a point but I get it over but how will it does in every thing else makes up for it and there ain’t much it won’t pull over I can carry 2 scouts when scouting on the oil bed
it would be nice to know at the start of the video that 8 out of 10 trucks in the list are DLC. A lot of content around snowrunner i look at is oh go get this truck its awesome you look it up and its inside a 10 dollar DLC. great advice go pay more money.
For some reason.... i love using the mack defender. People dont like it cause it used to have a clipping clearance bug which has been patched. I bought the british colombia dlc just for the mack and the kenworth trucks. I like both. People dont but i do. I think the russian trucks are too op. Im guessing thats cause the game is a russian made game lol
Ziks 612H is the best one actually. Kenworth has terrible fuel efficiency, gets stuck in the mud or goes through it too slowly. Really underwhelming compared to 612H.
Wait until you need to overload for 20+ cargo missions. Nothing compares to 963. I haven't once got stuck in the mud. It's trash with highway gearbox and anything but top engine. Ive been on all the crazy maps with it. Except like Tennessee and the base game
I haven't had problems getting stuck, I have problems with hills. The Kenworth needs more power imo. Empty, sometimes I can't get up a hill, but other trucks fully loaded cruise right up. I wish I knew why.
You can comfortably haul more cargo with 963 vs 612. 612 is more useful than the 605 tho. Not arguing, that's my opinion. 963 was my main workhorse in Amur. I even bought a second
Kenworth is close to the 612 because of more mods and carry volume. Apart fro that, it gets stuck on high slopes and doesn't have chains. A truck with no chains can never be the top truck of snowrunner..
Ugh, It's so annoying having to explain this. But on the other hand I'm happy to help the community. Because the 963 is so heavy nine times out of 10 you don't even need chain tires. Notable trucks with extremely high traction to the point that you don't need chained tires most of the time - Kolob 74760, Paystar 5600TS, Kenworth 963, Azov Antarctic, Kirovets K7M Dual Tires .
@@hermanjohnson9180 ugh I dont know what kind of help you think you're giving me here but I have 2k hours in this game and when I say that a truck with no chains can't be the best truck in this game I mean EXACTLY that. This "9/10 times" thing you say is kinda true but it doesn't cover Amur. Now tell me: in what region do you use this "best truck"? If you cant carry 10 slots in cosmodrome, use the road in Aegis or even go from the first area to the second one what do you even use the Ken for? Carrying logs In Michigan?:p Then along with that, you have a truck that is awful at carrying overloads. The 612 can carry 12 slots while the Ken can't carry even 8 on a slight slope. Sometimes I wonder how people play this game. You take the top trucks when you need to deliver 3 metal beams in Alaska or something?
@@NP-ux9xg You should tell that to herman who was "ugh"ing telling me that's annoying to explain this but wants to help the community. You're messaging the wrong person
@@iluvatarchem Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the Kenworth at all, it's place anywhere on the top ten list annoys me, let alone first, but I used it extensively in Amur as a heavy rescue and it handles the ice roads just fine. It doesn't need ice tyres, it needs an ability to climb a friggin' hill.
Decent video. I respect your opinion but in my view based on the 100s of players I played with as well as my own testing - Voron and Tayga trucks are out of game Meta. During the first year and maybe second year of the game they were fairly top tier but definitely not anymore. You forgot the 5600TS. Aside from fuel consumption, it's superior to every truck except the 612H and 963. While I have figured this out long before everyone else, eventually the rest of the snowrunner community caught up too. Although they seem to believe it's the absolute best and I disagree with that. Finally the Kolob 74760 isn't the best prime mover. But unlike the Taygas It's not obsolete. It still the most practical choice for moving very heavy cargo in the entire game. The only other options being Derry Special and 963. The special does not weigh quite enough (Not nearly as heavy as 963 and Kolob)but the 963 is so big that sometimes it's to its own detriment.
Thank you so much, your Excellency, for parting with such knowledge so that us plebs may bask in it's greatness! Thanks to you, and only you, I absolutely CANNOT become stuck in any mud, of any depth! Your IQ borders the erotic. Now I may have some wisdom of my own that you could possibly benefit from, if I may. Probably... maybe no, this is a hard definitely... Just never again type the sentence, "While I have figured this out long before everyone else, eventually the rest of (insert group of plebs) caught up too." You pompous, absolute asshat. All I can picture is you eagerly smelling your own farts, like on the Prius episode of South Park. I guarantee you if there's anything worth knowing in a video game, there's TONS of people knowing that thing long before you. This is just about a guaranteed fact. Also, just because you have not seen a video on it, or what have you, yet does not mean that a community is still struggling to catch up to your savant-like knowledge... Perhaps it means that the time it's going to take everyone to make a video, or post a comment or thread, along with the time it takes for you to then see these posts and know of their existence, there's a gap that you're not accounting for when pulling such an egregious claim out of your rear end. And last, I don't care if you WERE the absolute first person in the entire damn world to know something in a video game is good... Announcing it is just crying out, "please pat my back! Look, watch me pat my back! Ohh yeah! Feels sooo good! You pat my back now too!" I mean, if I asked the question, "who can come up with the douchiest sentence I've ever seen?" I'd certainly pat your back like you're wanting, you'd win that one. However nobody *has* asked that question... Smh...
I agree with you on the Paystar, it should have been mentioned, however I would not call the Vorons or Tayga obsoletes, they are still among the best trucks with great performance.
@@Danko05 I do agree that the Vorons and Taygas aren't obsolete. They are objectively still good but nowhere near the best in my opinion. For deep terrain there's the 605r. Or the Mack Defense assuming there isn't broken ice. For light and or medium terrain the CT681 is utterly superior. And the HX520 is a better option too unless the mud and/or snow is especially deep. Especially with that new tire pack. (After testing I've learned that most of the time it's not even that it's getting stuck it just moves so much more slowly than those off-road trucks) And yet with all that said I still almost completely agree with you. I think the real point is that they're no longer one of the best like they used to be. More like lower mid these days.
Voron AE is still the best truck in the game. Its ability to hold gear during hill climbs and float over a lot of the mud means any task you can think of, I'll finish it faster in the AE. By using 70% throttle it's more efficient than most trucks too, negating the smaller tank. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but I'm entitled to think you're crazy.
As a Canadian, I feel unrepresented in the snowrunner youtube scene. Creators with a similar accent to mine use miles and gallons. The youtubers that use the same units as me sound very different from me. Half and half in this country. Going down to the tire centre.
#10 - its useles: no addons no trailers, gas guzzling, verry tippy #9 - voron d-53233 is the best out of the three - bed + crane + trailer + awd and diff locks always on #8 - its ok, bigger wheels would be nice #7 - what a joke :D is slow AF with enormous turning radius. crane is not very easy to use, its to massive yet with short range. almost no ground clearance #6 - no auto diff lock its a no go for me with this truck #5 - yep, they are great, use them all the time #4 - I love it, I can even forgive this ridiculous front overhang (when terrain is too "bumpy" I just drive in reverse ;) #3 - it's too good actually, I stopped using it cause it's feel like cheating ;) #2 - I bought it to play at hard mode, I know that Amur without it would be almost impossible to do #1 - It's too big, and too slow. sold it, with no intentions to use it ever again no Boar? Seriously? there is no better tractor for high saddle trailers
#9 - Unless you specifically need the bed + crane + trailer for a niche task, the Voron AE is better at everything, as the gearbox in the D ruins its fuel economy, the slightly larger tank does not make up for the loss. Plus the AE looks better :D
I have had the Mack Def for awhile, but I hadn't really used it till recently. I was surprised how well it did towing in the snowy region I was in. I really enjoyed it.

As I went through the first maps I wanna stack goods now as well to make the singleplayerlife easier.
How do you stack the concreteplates? is it an option in the menu or are they just supported by the crane being on top of them?
They're all manually stacked, unpacked, the crane is winched to the bottom one and they're pulled taut against the crane.
@@AtomizerX Oh I see. Thats straight up smart haha. Thank you for your help, appreciate it!
The modded Pacific p16 is it for me. It outworks the 963 10 times out of 10
Great video. I had to watch at 1.5x speed though.
mastodon and kenny should switch spots

Can you stack more cargo than trucks are designed for like this on xbox or is it only on PC.
You can do it on all devices Xbox Playstation etc

using the crane to stack cargo on flatbed then using same crane to hold down the load . there are several examples of overloading in the video. overloaded cargo is not packed to bed @@Bigtinycrawler

In in my opinion azov 7 is 5th derry special is 4th kenworth is 3rd zikz 612h is 2nd and 1st is zikz 605r
Can you tell us what regions these trucks are in?
Should have the names of the trucks in the doobly doo or comments
Good guide
Pacific P18 ?
Just started SR and I don’t have any of these trucks - pain.
When you get enough get the Azov 8x8. Fuel efficient and goes awesome out of the shop.
Go to lake kovd and grab AWD for mh9500. It's super easy, I grab it the moment I get the first garage. You can buy a/t tires for Chevy scout instantly. Super easy route in lake kovd
Don't worry, the fleetstar can carry you really far. It will do crane + bed + trailer and is plenty capable and stable.
All I drive is the kenworth 963 I got 5 of them my buddy hates me cause he can’t tell what ones his any more
I throw mine in Low + and let it eat hills are tough to a point but I get it over but how will it does in every thing else makes up for it and there ain’t much it won’t pull over I can carry 2 scouts when scouting on the oil bed
What about best trucks in base game?
The real ones know the Zikz are actually MAZ 👌👌👌 38.8L diesel V12 turbo in the MAZ 537 irl
I like seeing how much difrent my top 5 is compared to most
it would be nice to know at the start of the video that 8 out of 10 trucks in the list are DLC. A lot of content around snowrunner i look at is oh go get this truck its awesome you look it up and its inside a 10 dollar DLC. great advice go pay more money.
🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 PLS. DO FOR LOW LV. IN SOME VDO PLSSSSSS
it wont let me use zikz 612H
@@select20 I dunno guys why you are arguing. Ziks 612H is just a better truck if you don't mind slower speed.
You can comfortably haul more cargo with 963 vs 612. 612 is more useful than the 605 tho. Not arguing, that's my opinion. 963 was my main workhorse in Amur. I even bought a second
sounds like a skill issue
which one is it
Theyre all good trucks.
I prefer the pacific P12 for my first place spot
They all can have a trailer. Take off the crane.
in 12 season FEMM 37-AT best truck
On ps4. No 8×8 drive ,AWD
Best trucks are modded trucks. But these are ok too. 😜
Zikz and Kenworth definitely need to be swapped, he is not worthy of first place.
Best=boring
I just use the trucks that I drive in real life or the ones that I enjoy driving.
I agree with this haha sometimes you just need something OP to power through a mission your not enjoying.
@@hermanjohnson9180 ugh
I dont know what kind of help you think you're giving me here but I have 2k hours in this game and when I say that a truck with no chains can't be the best truck in this game I mean EXACTLY that. This "9/10 times" thing you say is kinda true but it doesn't cover Amur. Now tell me: in what region do you use this "best truck"? If you cant carry 10 slots in cosmodrome, use the road in Aegis or even go from the first area to the second one what do you even use the Ken for? Carrying logs In Michigan?:p
Then along with that, you have a truck that is awful at carrying overloads. The 612 can carry 12 slots while the Ken can't carry even 8 on a slight slope.
Sometimes I wonder how people play this game. You take the top trucks when you need to deliver 3 metal beams in Alaska or something?
@@iluvatarchem I have 2001 hours in this game. Your opinion is invalid. I know more.
Voron AE has a unique winch point on the front axle that makes it the best truck to winch tow, like a powered trailer.
Derry spec is verrryyyy tipy

(After testing I've learned that most of the time it's not even that it's getting stuck it just moves so much more slowly than those off-road trucks)
And yet with all that said I still almost completely agree with you. I think the real point is that they're no longer one of the best like they used to be. More like lower mid these days.
Herman I figured it out about a week before you did. I was the first. You and everyone else copied me. I am the ultimate player.

#10 - its useles: no addons no trailers, gas guzzling, verry tippy
#9 - voron d-53233 is the best out of the three - bed + crane + trailer + awd and diff locks always on
#8 - its ok, bigger wheels would be nice
#7 - what a joke :D is slow AF with enormous turning radius. crane is not very easy to use, its to massive yet with short range. almost no ground clearance
#6 - no auto diff lock its a no go for me with this truck
#5 - yep, they are great, use them all the time
#4 - I love it, I can even forgive this ridiculous front overhang (when terrain is too "bumpy" I just drive in reverse ;)
#3 - it's too good actually, I stopped using it cause it's feel like cheating ;)
#2 - I bought it to play at hard mode, I know that Amur without it would be almost impossible to do
#1 - It's too big, and too slow. sold it, with no intentions to use it ever again
no Boar? Seriously? there is no better tractor for high saddle trailers
#9 - Unless you specifically need the bed + crane + trailer for a niche task, the Voron AE is better at everything, as the gearbox in the D ruins its fuel economy, the slightly larger tank does not make up for the loss. Plus the AE looks better :D
@@khimaros true, with a high speed gearbox is so fast it's scary :D
