Love both the original and this version of the movie, but there's something about Hallie getting to meet her mom that just gets me in a way that nothing in the original quite did.

Just seeing this now lol. This was my all-time favorite comfort movie growing up and still an easy go-to. Kind of a messed up custody agreement though lol.
I absolutely loved the original, which I saw in the drive-in as a little kid. I was worried about the remake, but quite enjoyed it.

22:00 The In-Laws: Meredith's mother, Vicky, was played by the wicked-stepmother-to-be from the original Parent Trap (with Hayley Mills).
23:40 The remake also used the same screenplay as the starting point. The original had an a scene where they were discussing sending them home, but then concluding it would be too much of a failure. The screenplay had that scene, but it was cut from the final version -- going straight from "Pack your bags!" to the march to the cabin. (Now that I think of it, that march scene was horrible of the Marvas. Maybe Annie and Hallie might have pranked them in retaliation.)

Denis Quaid is a mega dilf in this movie.
And Chessie is one of the reasons I work in nanny jobs
But as I watched this movie as an adult, I thought it was interesting how the nanny & the grandfather were the first to pick up on something different about the kids. Sure, Nick & Liz were loving & caring towards the girls, but with two parents who have busy lives, it would make sense for someone else to notice a change in behavior and question it. Nannying for rich people, I can speak from experience that rich parents love & care for there kids, but a lot of the kids feel like there parents don’t really know the real them. Some kids confined in me like secrets & stuff that they love, like certain movies & things that there parents don’t know. So it’s fitting that the two people who actually paid attention to the girls were the first ones to pick up on something strange.

Can you please watch a movie called HOUSE ARREST. it's a funny 90s comedy. In my opinion, it's underrated.
You guys should see the original Parent Trap. I think that one is done a little better. And it makes a little more sense in 1961 setting than a modern day setting.

Why are your videos almost half an hour long but only like 11 minutes of reaction??? Feels like clickbait!! Really annoying and definitely won't get me to sign up, just the opposite
To be fair to them it isn't clickbait - they have to keep to RUclips fair use policy and of course in doing that some might end up being shorter than others especially if to provide a film reaction that still makes editorial sense. But either way even ones longer than this one, wouldn't be a lot longer cause again that is the whole point of Fair Use which they have to adhere to.
I don’t think you are familiar with the word click bait. The length of a reaction video has nothing to do with clickbait. Many people enjoy discussing after the movie. They cannot post the entire video due to copyright reasons. RUclips is strict in those things. They will take a whole video down for that. If too many strikes, they can even delete the whole channel.

This movie is such a classic growing up. I highly recommend you check out Hayley Mills version. I don’t know if you knew this but Meredith’s mother Vicky happens to be the antagonist from the Hayley Mills version. If you thought Meredith was bad Vicky was worse. They are actually making a stage adaption based on the original parent trap book called Identical the musical. If you want to see another Lindsay Lohan movie I highly recommend Life Size with Tyra Banks and Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis. Another movie similar to this It Takes Two starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. 👩🏻🦰👩🏻🦰👩🏼👩🏼
I know when I saw this part it remind me of my mom when she passed away from Brest Cancer and my mom so this part of the parent trap reminds me of my mom and I watched with movie my mother and I know that I belong to both of them my mom and dad and so that part when Halie was visiting her mom it reminds me of my mom because my loved me a lot even though me and her always argued but I still love her and so that part of when Halie was meeting the mom it reminds me of my mom because I lost her in 2012 Brest Cancer ♋️ and I was angry 😠 like I wanted to Kill myself by jumping off a building and I was already on the football team at Kaiser high school 🏫 and it was like my junior year when she passed away and I do miss her every day so the parent trap reminds me of my mom because I was and still like her because I was happy to see my mom and I got to spend time with her when I was little like she would take me out for ice cream 🍨 and make cookies 🍪 and even made me a milkshake for no reason and even a chocolate 🍫 cake 🎂 and so this part reminds me of my mom and so it reminds me of her because i used to watch this with my mom and my mother died in 2012 and I say that to my mom and I had to say goodbye to her and I didn’t want to do that and I was just gonna jump off a building at Queens Medical Center in Hawaii when she died in 2012 and so this part reminds me of my mom 😢 and so this part of my mom 👩 because when it comes to the parent trap I think of my mom
