I've never used Capture One on a PC, so I couldn't say. But I have used PC for over 20 years, with some years with Photoshop and Lightroom on a PC, prior to changing to Mac due to Windows crashing or slowing down in performance. I find Mac is better in terms of less bloatware and performance in the long run. I also don't use any antivirus software on my Mac. I always had to reformat my PC every year or two.
As a newcomer I really found this useful and a good reference for future if/when I get stuck. I was hoping you’d show the Fujifilm film simulations for us who shoot Fuji. I like the idea of using Sessions to sort my photos. Can I use Sessions when I have already downloaded my photos in my catalogue? Thank you so much.
Hi, Glad you liked the video. Regarding a Fujifilm film simulation, I believe it requires Fujifilm RAF files and unfortunately I don't have a Fuji camera. 🙃 Technically, you can use sessions when you already have a catalog, but it would probably corrupt the catalog when you start moving around files within a session, unless you don't want to continue using a catalog. The best thing to do is keep the session and catalog image files separate in Capture One: make a copy of the photos from your catalog and paste them in your session/capture folder. The downside is it would take up more storage space. Alternatively, you can try catalog collections instead of sessions. It really depends on your goal. Hope this helps. 😊
Useful video for a capture one beginner, thanks! :)
Quick and easy to follow. Best Capture One tutorial I've seen
very nice. Many thanks. i found you during my move from thieving Adobe lightroom.
I’m happy I found your channel! I know very little about editing! Can you please tell me is it better to edit using capture one on a PC or a Mac?🤔
