    Khao San road area is beautiful and wonderful place. Very popular with clasic building and modern architecture. So many clubs and bar standing in that areas. Nice for walking around and exploring tour.👍👍

    Hahaha.....As if you are walking at the Dam Square in Amsterdam, they always know how to hit you!
    Nice park by the way. Have been there in a hotel in 2018, but haven't seen a park there. Guess they started after my visit :)

    so it appears that in contrast to many western cities BKK is becoming more livable by the day.........thanks for documenting the process and success. interestingly, the new mayor seems determined to continue along these lines.

    Thanks for the update. I was just there last month doing a video on all of the old city walls. Been waiting for them to finish the remodel before I go back. It’s good to know they are almost done.

    This area (the old Bangkok) is called "Rattanakosin Island (because it's surrounded by klong (canal)", it is a walking distance from Khao-san road area.

    The Community that was originally there was also very nice. I was there and walked around those old Houses. Its a bit sad that they are gone.

    FYI : Thai believed that if the bird poo on us.
    It is a sign of lucky. So one should go to buy lottery.

    opposite to the park is Wat Ratchanadda , highly recommend. On top of Wat Ratchanadda’s castle (Loha prasat) , you can see amazing view.

      Thanks for the heads-up Om Chula!
      I’ve been to that temple at least 3 times (on the way to Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall - one of my favorites, along with Museum de Siam) and never knew one could walk to the top of Loha Prasat. One for next time.

    Your bird poop is also an accurate interpretation of a Thai insult "farang ki nok" which means something like "bird poo foreigner" and refers to the cheapskate backpackers who come in an eat up everything and all they leave behind is bird droppings.

    • @banjemine4150
      @banjemine4150 2 года назад

      Not all ‘farangs’ are cheapskate backpackers! Why do they have to leave a bad name for everybody else.

    • @ฌอนาคราชย์
      @ฌอนาคราชย์ 2 года назад +2

      You are wrong with your whole explanation ! Farang in Thai has another meaning for a Thai fruit close to
      guava. This kind of farang is tasteless and very small, looking like Khi Nok, so Thais call it " Farang Khi Nok ". When some Thais see Farangs, the westerners, they turn to the familiar term, the fruit, " Farang Khi Nok ",
      just for fun and absolutely no association with any insult !
