@@thehumanwiIInahhh, don't try and say he's insecure. That's nonsensical! The guy just doesn't see men's bodies the same way Dax does. NOW if he does and is just denying THEN it's insecurity but I doubt that's the case.
I’m not Dax Shepard, and my wife is not Kristen Bell, but as a father and married man who experiences these same obstacles I appreciate the genuine vulnerability. Marriage isn’t easy, and if it was everyone would do it. Thank you!
This is the greatest podcast for me, because Rick (and Dax) has the ability to verbalize his overthinking (or just thinking, it’s just how his brain works) in a way that is so relatable to me, it’s seriously helped me.
@@templestark4779 overthinking definitely can be stupid and detrimental, but trying to understand why your brain is doing that can help you redirect it into something useful. Hope you read the comments - This was such a lovely conversation! I am def going to go watch the Arnold episode too. I think (both) your podcasts are terrific- they get me through many many long work days so thank you for that ❤
I was watching Dax on This Past Weekend a couple weeks ago and thought "I hope Rick gets him on TYSO again". So happy, one of my favourite guests, killing it Rick
Dax is and will always be in the top 10 of best tyso guests, always look forward when I see the rare top 10 come back I know it’s going to be a good pod, I appreciate them 🙏
Just started watching and stoked for this. Literally said “f yeah” when I saw the thumbnail. I’m supremely jealous of you Rick that you get to call Dax a friend. He’s an amazing guy, and from my short interactions with him in the past, he was so kind and gracious, and thoughtful. He took the time to chat with me, gave me multiple hugs when I told him my story (which I won’t go into now) and gave me some thoughtful advice. If I lived in LA I would love to be able to hang out with him and call him a friend.
Dax is one of my favorite sober celebs. Dude has had his stumbles, but persists and can make those dark jokes about it. 1 year in myself - I’m excited for this one.
Great ep gentlemen! Dax...please do video on Armchair! 🙏 TYSO is one of my "must watch" pods (never miss one) and look forward to Rick every week. Us visually stimulated pod consumers would be so stoked! 👀 📺 Continued success brother...you always deliver! 👊
Im New to the podcast but im floored I will be listening again and sending to all the homies. Thank you for making this, and exposing me to how cool Dax is
Imagine living in Rick's old apartment and not realizing the magic that's happened there. Im just imagining them stumbling on the pod one day and realizing that it's their apartment. 😂
Dax is correct. In aerospace (and metal working in general), something is literally designated as “CLAD” or “BARE” on a material list. If there’s no cladding/covering at all, that’s “bare”, buddy. Killer ep btw 🔥start to finish 👏👏❤
Dax if you're reading this please start doing video! Armchair was my top pods until Covid when I stopped listening to Podcasts that didn't have video (Which I get makes them not a podcast at that point its an internet show but still...). And Rick if you're reading this I want you to know you're the only show I don't skip that ads on they're the icing on top!
When I disassociate or have a panic attack sometimes it helps me to read a Dungeons & Dragon's physical book. I usually use "Xanathar's Guide to Everything". My therapist says that it effectively grounds me because it forces me to be aware of several things; The physical feeling of a book in my hands, my eyes tracking the words, my brain processing the words, and my vocal chords and lips moving to produce air to make words. It's worked every time I've remembered to do it.
Rick I feel the same way about shows and felt the same way about true detective but it DOES have the unbelievable stuff. So much of it. It was such a gift of a show
Im going to comment this in Spanish, hope the translation has the same feeling, solo quiero decirles a ambos que cada vez que hacen un podcast juntos, me hacen notar muchas de mis realidades y me alegra saber que otros pasan por lo mismo que yo, de una manera me ayudan a superar los que estoy viviendo, dios los bendiga ❤
Congratulations to Rick Glassman, Steve & Debbie Glassman of the Take Your Shoes Off Podcast. The winner of the Final Four Jokeworld competition. This is so deserved!
I'm an audio listener cuz I work wayyyy too much not to triple task 😅 I get the idea of the edits most of the time and when I have time watch it back but I am so obsessed with this damn show keep it up!!!
No one better than Dax, he is fucking amazing. Smart, real, sexy af, funny, manly, secure, vulnerable, emotionally intelligent, intelligent, good interviewer, good listener, open minded, sexy af self esteem, and can go on and on. This is healthy masculinity at its best. He lives life at the beat of his own drum, very admirable. Truly making a difference in this world. 🍒🍒🍒🍒❤️
Great episode. Love Dax. I love these two dudes introspective views. But I was wondering if around 1:03:00 ish, Rick is talking about his interview with Harland where he was asking about how he knows when to "turn it of or on" and he did really answer the way Rick wanted. Maybe I'm over thinking that.
Omg I’m that way too!! It’s and it soooo does matter Rick and Dax!! I knew there was a reason I liked both of you guys so much!! And it is a lot but yes we are worth it because if the other person engages you in this and sees this and if they don’t quite get it they but they want to see how you see things and find it fascinating….thats an amazing thing!!
Rick, are you sure you’re on the spectrum? Bcause you seem to have cracked the code in figuring out people’s behaviour 😂 love to hear you explaining your train of thought, I personally feel very confused and frustrated when words and behaviour don’t match, and that’s why you try to brainstorm with someone you care about about their intentions… I think that was also what you’re trying to explain to Dax. A bit annoying that he just interrupted you and called you autistic… don’t think he understands he does that a lot, but 1) that’s oversimplifying, 2) out of context in this specific topic and 3) doesn’t really sound true because you’re actually showing in that moment could be called @above average” social and emotional intelligence. Bottom line… I see you ☺️
I mean….Dax is just gay, right? Dude went waaaay into that 😂
I belive it’s the straightest you can be 😂 cuz there’s absolutely 0 insecurity around it hahaha
Yikes, you’re just screaming how insecure you are.
If sleeping with some of hottest women in Hollywood then marrying Kristen Bell is gay then sign me up

as a totally not insecure (regarding sexuality) person Dax shepard definitely comes off as effeminate and atrracted to men. objectively.
