  • Hey guys!
My family and I visited my parents in Ohio over the 4th of July holiday week. In this video, we explore a little bit of their creek, and make a quick stop along the way to explore some of the abandoned cemetery from the 17-1800's that's hidden in their woods.
This is the first of a couple videos from this trip. Stay tuned for my follow-up creek video, as I'll have much bigger fossils to show off! Also, in another upcoming video, I explored a road cut just north of the Cincinnati area that I'll show in the near future as well.
Thanks so much for all of the support, and I hope that you have a blessed day today!!

I see you went with both for the thumbnail , Excellent choice . That is super cool Joe, if you guys ever decide to clean up the cemetery I will drive up and help, I love old cemetery's a friend of mine has an old one on his property , we cleaned it up and put a new fence around it to keep the cows out . Those are some amazing horn corals and they are in some AMAZING shape, and that last one looked like the sorting hat from Harry Potter .... Did Trilobites have a school of Wizardry !?!?🤣🤣
And yeah man I get what you mean about being out in the woods or rockhounding , its some of the times I feel closest to God , I have had people call me a Christian druid cause every time I go into the wild its like walking into church for me.

I rarely see people finding them with such a perfect tip. Great finds❤ And I love the old cemetery. Part of me says check the coffins for treasures, while the other part of me says clean it up and make a nice little memorial garden. The tombstones alone would be worth preserving.

@@soul_adventurist Oh, we would never dig up any of those graves…I wish I lived closer so I could help with upkeep. My parents can barely get around, and aren’t able to walk down to the cemetery area, so it just gets overgrown and forgotten. I do really like the memorial garden idea. I’m sure at one time that it was open with grass when it was originally there, and now it’s woods everywhere.

@@joedadbod8450 I’m sure I would not dig them up either 👍

Awesome horn coral on a matrix, I've got around 15 thousand perfect horn corals, that I found last year, and thousands of crinoids

@@PeteRowe-ie2ez that’s awesome!! I have quite a few too, but not that many. I only get back to Ohio once a year. They are much more plenteous there than here in Arkansas.

How fun and great finds! Is that by chance the Big Walnut Creek? I go down there and find some really cool fossils and rocks!

You found some super awesome fossils, I've found over 500 Blastoids, and all of them are perfect, and different shapes and colors, couple of whole entire Crinoid creatures , I've made a lot of money from them, and I have maybe over 15 thousand fossils
