    New to your channel and really enjoying the videos. I do wish you would show more of your campsites and time at the campsites. That’s to me is a great part of the adventure!

      yes, agreed that the camp time is an important part of the adventure. Most of time we are setting up camp in the dark.

    Great series Well done👍.
    By day 3 I was in the den so my wife could also watch.
    Planning a trip in Sept. We've changed from Sportsmans to a SxS but you're videos have me thinking about getting those Sportsmans back out.
    Thanks

      Thanks for the comments, and we're glad you enjoyed. If you going to the Paiute and your wider than 60", you'll be riding forest roads only. Less than 50" and you can ride the best trails. Between 50 and 60" gets you access to a few short sections of the trail are 60" restricted. Our opinion, if you want to ride the best trails, be 50" or less. Be sure to check our our latest Paiute series, The Great Western Trail. Have fun, and maybe we'll pass each other on the trail this September.

      Yet is the key word there. Glad you enjoyed it. If you do plan a trip there, we'll continue to add to our Paiute trip planning page. Anything that we find useful to us when planning trips, we'll put it on that page to help others plan their adventure. Thanks for tuning in!

    Amazing series of videos guys ! I absolutely love the Paiute Trail. I'm fortunate enough to ride there several times a year. I see many trails I recognize, and some I've never done before. You gave me several trails to add to my "to do" list. Again, great series ! Thank You !

      Thanks for tuning in and the comments. When we were researching this area and watching other videos, we noticed the lack of coordinate sharing. Will be releasing a trip planning page (hopefully this weekend) with more details on the route. Thanks!

    Nice series man ! Loved each episode! Those trails were great ! and the fist bump/hi five was funny too, I think we've all done that lol Next time you guys should show some camp life, hanging out by the fire, maybe having a few beer, also what you guys cook, for a 5 day trip, I see you guys have coolers and stuff, but its hard to keep perishable food that long in a cooler. anyways, I watched and liked them all, keep them coming !

    Would love to see a video just going over the different ATVs that you use and also showing the gear that you bring along. Maybe toss in some "why you chose it" and you could cover any issues that you've had with equipment/gear out in the field.

      Do you find that the 500cc machines you use are enough when fully loaded with camp gear? Do you ever wish you had something bigger?

    Great videos. You have just made my decision in my next vacation. Though i have some questions. Did you have to take any paved roads to get to the trail heads and if so is this legal in this area? And what about fuel, are there gas stations right off the trails? Or are you having to keep fuel at your base camp? Thanks

    • @ATVOverland
      @ATVOverland  6 лет назад +2

      Hello Joseph. Glad you enjoyed the series. here are some answers to your questions. The Paiute is special!
      Did you have to take any paved roads to get to the trail heads and if so is this legal in this area?
      --- This depends on where you start from. We road about a mile on paved roads. Yes, the towns around the Paiute have either opened their roads, or created OHV friendly routes. I recommend you start your research on the Paiute, get the Nat Geo map we refer to on our web page. This will show the designated routes, etc., and be very helpful.
      And what about fuel, are there gas stations right off the trails?
      --- The fuel and water refills happen in the small towns along the Paiute trail. The main Paiute 01 trail runs through a few towns, and the side trails take you to towns. Plenty of opportunities to create a route for supplies.
      Or are you having to keep fuel at your base camp?
      ---We did not have a base camp. We made a large loop and purchased fuel along the route. We camped at a different spot every night.

    What software did you use for mapping your routes that you showed in the videos?

    • @ATVOverland
      @ATVOverland  5 лет назад

      The animation shown in the video is created in After Effects. For creating the routes for the trip, used Magellan's Vantage Point, then exported GPX files which were then imported in both the TRX and BCN apps. Hope that helps.

    How many miles per day did you plan and was there gas available along the way?

    • @ATVOverland
      @ATVOverland  5 лет назад

      Hello Bryan. If I remember correctly, it was around 450 miles on this trip. GPX files over on our trip page at atvoverland.com/paiute2017/. Thanks!
