    I just picked one of these up for use with a Galaxy note 10+. With a USB C to Micro USB Adapter it works flawlessly with Samsung video.
    I'm using a simple generic adapter.

    @Mojaxx,as mentioned on Instagram,I'm using my LG V30 Android mobile phone for streaming. The phone has a built in Hifi DAC,so audio quality is good through the headphone Jack.LG is currently 1 of very few mobile phone companies that still adds 3.5mm jack's to their phones & the only company to add DAC to its devices. The LG G8 & all V series mobile devices have the Hifi DAC built in. Be sure to check out some reviews on the LG's DAC on the G8 & V series devices

      @@Soulauric just need a, in my case, quarter inch jack to 3.5mm cable. I run it out of my booth output,so I can control the level manually. On the LG you can select manual camera mode,then you can select line in & you can see levels directly on the screen

      @@Soulauric it should. It pops up when you insert the 3.5mm jack. What I found was that,I have to use a AV 3.5mm jack,because a normal audio only 3.5mm jack doesn't work. Think it has to do with the length of the jack

    Thanks to @Paul Nowles I am able to charge my Go mixer while using it. You need The Apple Camera adaptor USB and Lightning. This plugs into the phone. You plug your lightning charger coming from your plugged in wall cube into the lightning port of the Camera adaptor. You need a USB 2 or 3 to micro USB b cable to go from the the USB port of the the Apple Camera adaptor into the Roland Go. I have audio in and out using the iOS video app. BTW, I have not tried streaming with this. I need it for shooting video. Also- the Belkin Rockstar did NOT work for me. Tried it on an iphone 6 and a 10. Thank you DJ City also for making this video. It helped me find a solution! I posted in the comments the way I stream to Twitch using my Macbook. Hope this helps someone.

    Honestly, I just started with that little TRS jack cable and it’s worked SUBLIMELY without fail on my iphone 8 using those lightning adaptors. No problems soundwise at all. Only drawback is charging the damn phone at the same time. I’ve got my phone above my head attached to the top my door on a flexible arm stand, so charging at that angle would impossible. It’s done me fine for about 3 hours, any longer is pushing it.

    I actually have the GO:MIXER, buying it last year, and will be testing it soon. I thought that I'd lost the USB cable that connects to the iPhone, but found it today so will give it a try. But what I did test out was my iPhone 11, using a third-party video app (Moments Pro, in this case), and an Apple Lighting-to-USB camera adapter, connected to my ZOOM U-44 audio interface, which is a mobile interface that can be battery powered. There are two types of the camera adapter, so you need the fat one that has the Lightning port next to the USB port so that you can plug in a wall adapter to give the iPhone enough power to run everything. Once I had everything connected, I saw levels when I tested it with Serato running via my laptop, and works great. When I do the real deal, my controller is going to be the main source (I lent it to a friend this weekend, so will be testing it during the week). Hope this helps somebody!

      Velanche Stewart ZOOM U44 is not supported by iPhone. You can’t hear anything when you use the iPhone camera.

    • @velanche
      @velanche 4 года назад

      @@THEAMYGDALA It's not supported by iPhone due to power limitations. You have to make sure that Apple's camera kit connector is plugged into the wall, and that the U-44 runs on either a power adapter or batteries. As far as a camera app, I could not get sound with the default one, so you'll need to find a third-party app that will. Moment's Pro Camera will do it, as willl Filmic Pro. You can check out this RUclips video demo, though this demo was for recording sound to the iPhone with the U-44. Hope this helps. ruclips.net/video/XT0ghgmRARo/видео.html

    • @THEAMYGDALA
      @THEAMYGDALA 4 года назад

      @@velanche that's why the Roland GO MIXER is much better: you don't need third party app. Actually, this limitation is not related to power source, it's because iPhone is not able to handle all the channels what ZOOM U44 sends.

    • @velanche
      @velanche 4 года назад

      @@THEAMYGDALA So one of the questions was about other methods used to get the same results, and I answered by offering another way in case there are others who might have the same piece of kit. I am not saying that the GO:MIXER isn't a better or worse solution, but another solution of many out there. Turns out that I have a solution that didn't require me to buy a GO:MIXER, and I'm sure others are in similar situations. The important thing is that it's another solution that works, when you already have those things on hand.

    I recommend using the Line 6 Sonic Port VX it works with iOS mac and PC and it has a a clip light and you can charge your phone and use it at the same time it also has a condenser mic built in if you wanted to record professional vocal or use it for podcasting so very Versatile kind of nice because it also has a battery built into it and can use it on the go and even plug in a phone battery block to keep is on for long periods of time

    Check out the Streamlab app available for both iphone and android. It's the mobile version of Streamlab OBS - which is a windows-only alternative to OBS. It allows streaming to multiple services as well as being able to connect to Restream.io - which also allows simulcasts to different services. Only minus is you can't access Instagram on any of these multistreams because Instagram still doesn't allow 3rd party streaming, but I usually stream to Facebook and Twitch simultaneously and am thinking of going to RUclips as well.

    I was getting really frustrated when I first tried using the TRS ->TRRS cable, but I stumbled on a way to make it work EVERY TIME! I have an H1 Handy Recorder purchased for capturing directly from my mixer to sync with video from live performances. For some reason (I’m guessing to do with the output signal strength) when I go Mixer->H1-> TRS converter cable into my iPhone 11 via lightening adapter, it works crystal clear EVERY TIME!

    There are the two main problems with just using cable adapters. ‘Line Level’ outputs are way too hot for ‘Mic Level’ inputs which will cause distortion. You need an attenuator to lower the line level down to mic level. Also, ‘Mic Level’ inputs are designed to send out a small amount of DC current (to power the microphone) which causes pops and clicks in the audio. So, you need to lower the line level to mic level (attenuator) and use some kind of capacitor inline to block the DC power from going back through to your audio source. You can build a circuit board with a 330ohm resistor and a 1uf capacitor that will work. (sort of) But, it’s just way easier to just buy something like the gomixer and be done with it. 🎸

    Hi Mojaxx and DJcityTV, I can use the Roland Go:Mixer + DDJ 1000 with USB Type C Phone (Huawei Mate 9 & Huawei Mate20pro) as well as iPad Pro.
    Tested using stock camera app + instagram stories
    #1 I'm using USB C to USB C cable (Macbook's and iPad Pro's) with USB C to Micro USB adapter in Roland side.
    The catch is the phone must support OTG or external microphone or audio input (able to work with HDMI). I'm unable to make it work on Oppo Reno phone through usb-c port, it seems for charging only.
    #2 connect the micro usb port to your wall charger and use the monitor out as your phone audio input. Again it depends on your phone capabilities to use external audio source (microphone) through the headphone jack.
    I'm using aux trs to trs 3.5mm cable there for i need trs to trrs adapter
    On my Huawei Mate 9 & Mate20pro, i can use this setup instantly both via headphone jack and USB-C port using 3.5mm trrs adapter.
    Unfortunatelly, the headphone jack hack did not work on Xiaomi Note 5 camera app & instagram, but it works perfectly on its audio recorder apps.
    The trs to trrs adapter + trrs to usb-c adapter also not working on iPad Pro (Camera app + IG Stories)

      Pay attention i failed to used the same setup on Oppo Reno which use USB-C also. Plan to re-test it again since OTG support happened to be disabled.
      But if you have doubt, i suggest to purchase iRig Stream since they provide USB-C cable out of the box. No Hack needed :)

    Hi everyone, I hope this helps someone: I use a Pioneer XDJ-RX2 and have been streaming directly to Facebook and Instagram going on 3 straight weeks with no issues. The XDJ has an RCA main out and I plug in a standard RCA to 3.5mm cable + Rode SC4 + Apple Adapter + iPhone 11 Pro Max.
    My first issue was when it took out of the box and connected everything. I wasn't getting sound at first but it worked after pushing the connections together very tightly. To get the best sound I found the best quality by keeping my channel levels at exactly 0db and my master volume set just below -24db. I can't tell you the exact number because my mixer stops at -24db lol. I would suggest to try setting your channel gain at -6 or -3db and start with your master at 0db, moving your way up very very slowly. Please remember SC4 does not work for android! Video example below, good luck!

    Me and a mate are just using our external soundcards into our macs. Works a treat with OBS and inbuilt webcams....I'm on a 2012 MacBook and have no issues with having OBS and Ableton running as well as OBS and rekordbox running at the same time. Only issue is the RUclips copyright take downs, but for live stuff just be prepared to swap streams if going for more than 3 hours (this seems to be how long grace period you get 😂). Defo worth investing in a better camera if you have the money but not essential if you're just playing to mates....it's just a nice touch to have a couple of angles. Loads of great streaming advice videos on RUclips already too, also streamer tech people who make good content for advice too.

    Why is NO ONE mentioning the elephant in the room about the SC4 / iRig option? It is going to be MONO. Cheating your phone or iPad mic input to accept a line level source does not change that your input for a mic will be MONO.
    I have the GO:MIXER - it's a GREAT product, right up until your phone or iPad runs out of juice. The dual lightning adapters (I've tried them all - all 3rd party products, as this is not something apple supports) all break after a while and are not reliable whatsoever. I cannot for the life of me, understand why Roland has not addressed this issue in a MK2 model with an option for external power?
    I've also sometimes encountered some issues with clipping signal on the GO:MIXER, already at quite low levels on some streaming services, and on direct video recordings, but not on others...? A bit weird, that...

      BIG DAY I’m running it with my S9 and 1000srt. I’m using a mono 1/4 from the both into the iRig2 then the iPhone 1/8 female adapter to lighten into my iPhone. Once you have that setup, record a sample video with your iPhone with the booth level on you rane mixer at 9 o’clock then on the iRig2, slowly increasing the gain. You want to have music playing and also talk in the mic if you have one hooked up so you can have a reference. I normally say, “volume on the iRig is one turn....2 turn, 3 turns, mic check 1-2, mic check”. Try that.

      Carlos M only play it couple time at store, dont know much about it. It small, portable and versatile. I think no bigger than a macbook pro, both will be fit in our daypack. But for me it’s more like keyboard-trackpack replacement. No loop button, no effect knobs, no dedicated button to change the pads mode and also DDJ 200 has no audio connections at all and as such can’t be used to output the audio. The output will rely on your laptop or mobile device where you play the software at. If you’re ok with that, then go get it. But if you’re willing to pay a bit more, imho ddj-400 is a better choice 😬
