Lake Couer d Alene December 2024 Plus Bonus pictures

I did another drone flight along Lake Couer d Alene Idaho. I flew from the over parking area near where the boat launch is. Was trying to find a good spot to launch from where there were less people around. Yeah did get some birds on camera. Wasn't my primary focus, but they were on camera. Btw I would have flown farther than I did, bit it is going onto winter and plus I can only fly so far with the mini 2 amd still maintain vlos, plus video feed in the app craps out if the drone is far enough out amd I don't want to have that happen. Plus the lake is huge amd stretches out many miles. Turns into the Spokane River at the west end and eventually St Joe River at the south end. Best way to really explore the lake is via boat. Btw in the summer months, there is a 6 hour cruise that goes all the way to the south end of the lake where it Joe River bran off. Bot goes a little ways down that river before eventually turning around. Lots of scenery there. Btw interstate 90 turns into a mountain freeway just east of the Couer d Alene area and goes over both thr 4th of july pass and eventually lookout pass before going into Montana. I wasn't planning to drive that far today, but it goes out a ways. Migjt can do that drive sometimes, but it is about a 90 minute drive to Montana from therr one way, so it won't be an every week thing. Ore like once or twice a year type thing.
