Thanks. They have to be red. This one was originally yellow and my first thought was it was to be painted red. Now when it is parked next to the Griso, the flat red on the Griso does not seem as red as the Ducati.
It is good that you stuck with it as it is worth it at the end of the day and wow the tap shut it's self ..ha! but all of these things are a part of it all with the older bikes and they build your history with it....keep to see and thanks for showing
L23 👍, wow 90% done then another can of worms, I'm so glad it all worked out at the end, you are a more risiliant man then me. To be honest it's for the love of a bike that sometimes we continue our efforts of old bikes. Nice share looks the part, even though the speedo retired 😊. Stay blessed and safe whilst running it in. Your biker brother Traveller MIA 🇬🇧
Welcome to the channel. Bolt Bucket is an absolute legend. I have a bit of Ducati content there and hopefully some more Bevel content coming in the next few months.
Big congrats on getting her done!!! Poor speedo.....damn go pro's. It's been a bit since I rode a street bike with a petcock, do you have to turn it for the reserve? Great to see the Ducati out on the road all painted and shit lovely, just lovely!!
Here is the crazy part. The tap just stays open. There is no reserve. Just an indicator light when fuel level is low. I have a feeling it is damaged and I have ordered a new one so this will not keep happening.
Looks awesome !! I’ve never restores a classic bike but I have restored classic cars. Patience is a definite must- have. Well done ! Tightening and re-tightening is now your new hobby !! Haha. Cheers
An absolute beauty man, massive congrats on getting it "done". I agree completely on a classic bike never been actually done, always bits to tinker with, that's part of the beauty of them tho eh :P Ah who needs a speedo anyway :D Is that off the gearbox, sprocket or front wheel? Ah vacuum fuel tap or what closes it? Bloody annoying little things but you learn them all as you go, you'll end up a master of that bike and know everything :)
Thanks for that. Speedo comes of a speedo drive on the front wheel. . The tap is not meant to close, but it seems enough vibration will close it. Being an air cooled v twin, this might be a problem. I have ordered a new tap as the current one looks like it might be past its best.
I was amazed at how cheap they were in the US. Seeing 100% jake get one for $1500 (a running 900 at that) just shocked me at how silly our prices are here in Australia.
I remember this bike from the 90-ies. I had a journal called Tuttomoto.:) It was 1994 I think. It was a nice looking bike and it still is. Somehow it is a Ducati, it will never be perfect, but if this is common to all bikes... Like you said. :) Find you among Saddlebags crew. :) I subscribed. Can check my content. Keep the good work. Thumb up.
Welcome to the channel. This bike looked good from new and has aged just as well. With all bikes it's age, it will need maintenance, but I am enjoying riding it so far.
Hey Matt, thanks for making these videos they have been fun to watch and also a good go to when im stuck with something. Ive just finished my full resto on my 600 supersport exactly like yours. Would be good to go for a little cruise together one day and chat about our bikes. Im in sydney also. You can check my bike out on my channel here. Cheers
Cheers. I'm not familiar with editing so my videos are just 1 minute long with not edits. Have a look at collectors cars coffee run on the 4th Feb at Rose Hill gardens. Gonna be a few of us on Ducati's and some nice exotic cars to boot. Would be good to see you and your supersport. Or whatever you bring if your keen. Might make for a nice video for your channel too.
Well you know my feelings on this bike Matt!
Great job on the rebuild will be very interested to see her in the flesh xxx
Hopefully you will see it soon.
Sorry I was late. Just woke up!! Definitely a nice bike you have there OZ!!
The time difference is a killer. But thanks for watching.
Glad it’s running mate, must be very satisfying after all the years and patience! ✌️
Very happy to have this one back on the road. Hope to have the bevel (Darmah) back in the next 12 months.
Looks and sounds sweet Matt, hopefully you get years of enjoyment from it 😎👍🏼
Thanks mate. If I look after it, i cant see why it wont be a pleasure to own. Most likely my body will break down before the bike does.
That bike looks awesome mate, I love Ducati’s, there something about that Ferrari red
Thanks. They have to be red. This one was originally yellow and my first thought was it was to be painted red. Now when it is parked next to the Griso, the flat red on the Griso does not seem as red as the Ducati.

Thanks mate. I will definetely have more episodes. Hopefully more of me riding it and having fun.

Thank you.
What a great winter time project this was and glad to see it all the road. Nothin like the sound of a Ducati!
Thanks mate. I am looking for a new exhaust to enhance that Ducati sound.
Yes! Bloody brilliant mate! Must have felt great to complete the project and then hit the road!
Yes. I was hoping to have it ready for the ride we went on, but was not to be. Hopefully next ride.
@@RoadsOfOz can’t wait to see it in the next ride I join.
Hiya mate, bolt bucket says G'day, channel subbed.
I'm a bit of a ducati fan so will have a look through your back catalogue 😎👍

@@RoadsOfOz epic mate, I sold my monster earlier in the year and really miss it. I will have one again 😎👍
Brilliant, Matt. Good to see it on the roads. Cheers
Thanks Moz. It is a relief to finally get one Ducati back on the road.
Big congrats on getting her done!!! Poor speedo.....damn go pro's. It's been a bit since I rode a street bike with a petcock, do you have to turn it for the reserve? Great to see the Ducati out on the road all painted and shit lovely, just lovely!!

Looks awesome Roads, typical Italian machine 😬😀🤘🏻
Absoulutely. Looks great, but can leave you stranded at any time. Ducati: making mechanics out of riders since the 60's.
I love seeing you present these type of videos! well done Matt!
Thanks mate. Hopefully many more to come soon.
Looks awesome !!

Yeah that is a nice bike 🚴. Wish I had one for a different experience. Glad you got her up and running!

@@RoadsOfOz that’s crazy 😛
Aweome to see it on the road buddy
Thanks Rob. Felt like it was never going to happen. it sure tested my patience.
Awesome bike. That red is 👍
Thank you. This bike was originally yellow. It was a no brainer to change it to red. The results speak for themself.
I can’t wait to see and hear it in person.
Very soon mate. Hoping to get photos of the two 600's together.
@@RoadsOfOz I'm heading in tomorrow night to meet up with Steve CBR 600RR. We could get three 600's.

@@RoadsOfOz I get it. Older but still rocks. :) Drop by man.
It is a great looking bike Matt 🙂Bit of a pain it let you down with the fuel tap.
Yeah. Have to work on the teething issues. Have to expect it with a bike like this that has been off the road for such a long time.
Did you put a new battery in? If so what? And great to see it back on road.
Yes. It was a Motobatt battery.

4th February sorry.
Take it to the country roads, this bike makes no sense in city traffic 😊
It is fun no matter where I ride it. 😉👍
Never heard of rattling shut fuel tap, learn something new everyday!
Ducatis. Making mechanics out of riders for over 60 years.
Why the stupid loud music ?!?!?!?!
To help combat the horrible wind noise.
