- We leave West End, Bahamas and begin our exploration of the Abacos Islands. We anchor at Mangrove Cay and Allon-Pensacola, then grab a slip at Green Turtle. We have some strugglers with our fuel pump but find a work-around.

I must have just missed you, I took the same path on my Hatteras 58 a couple weeks ago. From the west end we went to the Great Sale Cay to anchor then the next day to Green Turtle Cay. I left my boat there, will return in late August. Love the Abaco islands!

ALWAYS get fuel when you arrive and there is fuel (assuming there is). Waiting for the next day or days later upon departure might mean no fuel in the Bahamas…..I laugh when people like to save $.20 a gallon and they go to their specific marina for fuel and they ran out or a big yacht just guzzled it all…..

Regarding your fuel fed issue. Check the tubing/piping running from the tank you may have a cracked nut on the flair. Gus, a smart RUclipsr and captain, of InToo Deep has a similar vessel and had a priming issue - bad nut on the flaired copper gas line from the tank. My $0.02

It was so-so. A lot of west winds made anchoring and tendering a bit difficult this year.
Great to see that your fuel issues has not stop you from traveling the keys, but do hope you find a good diesel mechanic to get everything back running 100% again.... Can you send me $10 to get there?...That was too funny!..lol

So strange to watching this video while we are in Fox Town coming from Allen's/Pensacola this morning. We left Green Turtle Black sound after refueling at White sound just 2 days ago. One of our best experiences was at west end of Nunjack Cay with the Ray's and Sharks on the beach. Somewhere along the way we passed each other.

@@tryingnottosink9107 In Indian Town now waiting to get the boat hauled and wrapped for hurricane season. Will launch again in January and be heading out in early to mid Feb.

It's always great having an ER "plan B" option for those expected issues. Now you've got one for the fuel pump/delivery issue which you can rig up for the next time this happens, perhaps to the other engine. That had to take a little stress off the plate!
We agree. We are also buying another spar fuel pump as well.

Hey guys, I'm a recent fan of y'all...lol. I was wondering if the husband of the extra crew on board used to work on a bucket dredge in the New York harbor 18-20 years ago. I was a tug boat captain working the dredges back then and he looks and sounds a lot like him.

We turn over the tanks every couple weeks. Polishing won't really help.

Doesn't seem to be heading our way. If so, we'll probably hide out in Key West Bight. If it gets big we'll head back to Titusville.
What was your music selection in the first 5 minutes? I have to admit, enjoyed it a little too much with my eyes closed and had to rewatch that portion of the video. Great music all the way through!

We have used it in many different circumstances and it has been flawless.
Y'all skipped the most beautiful part of the Abaco's. Albit the most remote and uninhabited. No commercial bars, resturants, just beauty. Double Breasted is my favorite place in the world.

I'm curious..... Is the engine that only runs 1000 rpm same engine that had blower shaft go bad?? Second did you finally get new blower shaft? And what you can do to see if you can find leak, sucking air, is coast fittings with some Grease... It will block air from entering system... 😊
No. That engine had a bad fuel pump that was leaking air. We replaced the blower shaft about 200 miles ago. Everythings working great now.

I need to address the "Roger out!" Maybe I'm wrong or maybe you guys are just creating your own thing but it is driving me nuts. "Roger out!" is essentially two phrases you have mashed together lol! "Roger that" is confirming one's understanding. When you are done talking to someone on the radio, it's "Over & out". I don't believe "Roger out!" is a thing. Until now. 😁
It's Lyn's way of saying I am done listening to your nonsense, later! Actually she said it a couple times in a video a few years ago and it kind of became a thing. Now viewers will complain if there isn't at least one "Roger Out" in a video. It will probably end up on my tombstone!😁
Actually "over&out" is pretty rude. "Over" means "I am thru talk8ng and now you can talk" and "out" means "I am ending the conversation" so "over&out" means "I am thru and it is your turn to talk but I am not listening b3cause the conversation is done".
