    Great demo and explanation! I wish I could do it in my garage but my ceilings are too low and some of my ceiling includes the HVAC ducts that are encased with drywall so I'm totally out of luck. Time for a new house, lol!

      I wanted one in my last place too. But same thing, didn’t have the ceiling height for it. Definitely handy to have and can actually move around with casters if required.

    Wow, that goes up slow! Are you running 120v or 240v? Nice audio and camera work. 👍

    • @ngl1145
      @ngl1145  2 года назад

      I’m running 120V. Parts of me is ok with the speed because my car gets pretty close to the ceiling. Any faster I could make a mistake. I’m good with the speed. I wish there was a memory setting on it.

    Great video! What are the overall dimensions of your garage? Is it 24x22?

    I was about to ask about the trays, that mean you can actually work on the under the car

    • @ngl1145
      @ngl1145  3 года назад +1

      Yes it comes with drip trays. They are just plastic and you can slide them or remove them completely.

    If I raise my door up I got a 10ft ceiling do you think I could fit a 2013 convertible vett on top and a seadoo on a trailer on bottom

    • @ngl1145
      @ngl1145  2 года назад

      The garage is 281" x 272". There's plenty of room to move the lift around with the included casters.

    Great video. I’m in the market for a four post lift and dimensions are critical. Can you tell me if your lock ladder is adjustable? I’ll need to be able to set the height of the lock at 52 inches give or take an inch. Also, do you know the height/thickness of the runways plus the crossbar? I need to find a lift with an adjustable ladder and the thinnest runways possible because I only have 9-10 inches to spare after adding the height of my two cars.

      I know the feeling of having a garage which presents a right fit situation. My locks are not movable. I use a direct lift and they have a nice ceiling height calculator on their web site. I used a laser measure tool to get all my numbers. If you have a sports car, you may want to opt for a wide version of the lift. I ordered a standard version and my car barely fit on it. The new lift is wider and so much easier to park on.

    Have this lift and can’t get it to go low enough to load a car. It’s new, plumbed and greased. Any help is very useful thanks in advance.

    • @ngl1145

      For mine, I have to hold the lock mechanism open until it clears it. Once it clears the last lock I can lower the lift all the way to the ground. I’d have to see a video to see what you were talking about in terms of the issue with it not going all the way down. Haven’t had any issues with mine.

      @@ngl1145 thanks for answering, I hold the lock mechanism but it hangs up on the back section. The loading (front ) works fine. Don’t know how to send yo a video? The instructions are AWFUL used RUclips to assemble the thing. Waiting on a nut that is missing that might just fix the problems. Thanks

      It has happened many times. That means backing out the bottom car and lowering the lift again. I learn to triple check before raising the car.

  • @YingYangStang

    wow really slow lift and you should bolt those posts into the concrete

    • @ngl1145
      @ngl1145  3 года назад

      I was told by the installer that they don’t recommend bolting it in. Could cause jamming issues if it’s too rigid. The car is pretty stable on the lift. Does not move. It was one of the things I did ask them about doing. As for speed, it only needs to go up once a day if I take it out. No issues there. Plus I want fine control of when I stop it. If it goes too fast that is an issue.
