I have a Samsung 4K HDR with no eARC and a SONOS Arc. I ordered and I should receive it tomorrow.. My question is what HDMI cables should I use. I am using the newest Fire cube(2023).. And I am also using a 4K Apple TV box.
What do you do if you want to watch and listen regular TV as well? the setup would only provide sound from the device to the soundbar? Would tv app audio go back to the soundbar too?
I have an older 2015 4k sony xbr with hdmi arc. I have an Apple TV 4K 2021 and considering a Vizio 5.1.2 soundbar . Can I get Atmos by purchasing this? Will it be Uncompressed Dolby True Hd core or Dolby digital plus core or both depending on the media?

Hey Rick , followed all your drone videos, and always loved your content, you just popped up in my feed here and good to see you doing media content . I would love to see you do a hdfury arcana video . It seems like a great little box for turning a tv without earc to produce atmos , while it’s been proven to work well the set up for a newbie like me is a bit daunting. Anyway good to see you again
Hi, If I connect the HDA-931 outputs ( earc-TV to a TV with earc , earc-soundbar to soundbar with earc and the AMP-HDMI audio to a separate HDMI audio system ) , then even if no input is connected to this device, will BOTH the soundbar and the HDMI audio system respond concurrently when the TV is transmitting ( e.g. live tv ) ?? Thanks!
Greetings, I’m having issues with this device. Maybe you can help me. I did the connections as instructed: HDMI cable from my TV eArc to the TV eArc port of the HDA-931; then, another HDMI cable from my A/V processor Arc to the Amp Arc port of the HDA-931. Nothing happens, neither on the screen or in the sound system. I just loose sound completely. Would you please provide some assistance? Thank you.
Have you fixed the issue where only ARC devices are recognized by the unit? I plugged in an eARC device and it was not detected even though that device works with other devices.

Yes. If you have a Soundbar that has eARC then connect it to the Soundbar port and if it is an AVR that has an HDMI Input then connect it to the HDMI Audio port on the HDA-931.

U should consider to upgrade your audio device rather than using such extractor. If budget is your main concern and stiil want to input a better signal to your old soundbar (which may have only a little or no improvement), there is still one easy way to do so. Buy a video splitter. One output to soundbar ,one to old tv, done.

Does this support Dolby Atmos MAT? Then output 5.1 over optical out. This is the format the Apple TV outputs for Dolby Atmos.
No MAT support. Tested with Sonos Beam 2.
wondering if i can get windows enhancements with this like speaker fill or support for 5,1 surround in pc games
Our device only passes through the audio from the source. The rest depends on the capability of your source device and your soundbar or AVR.
Can i get the TV audio simultaneously in two AVRs?
It should work if you have an eARC TV and 2 AVRs one of which must support ARC/eARC.
how to avail here in the Philippines?
