Great video- especially aerial footage … I have R23 2019 that I ordered a RT factory sunshade a few months ago..I just got word from the factory that the order is ready and they will be shipping shortly. This video sure will come in handy!
Dave, this video was great news! We're in SW Florida and are hoping to purchase a Cutwater 248, a kissing cousin to your R23. Sun protection is critical down here and we've wondered how to address it without custom canvas & frame work. If this sun shade (or similar from FM) fits our C248, it will solve the problem. I just bought a used R23 and like your video on the sunshade. After a year what do you think about it? I have had shades made for my Hunter 38 in the past and found them to be very helpful. I am thing about having one made or buying from Ranger. Thanks Jerry
I just bought a 2018 R23 and would like to know where you got thisr sunshade? You didn't say anything about where it came from that I could see and Ranger Tug doesn't show it on their site! thanks, Dennis

You can set the vertical panel across the back OR across either side, depending on where the setting sun is in relation to the boat.

It comes in handy in the summer months. Helps keep the sun off of the huge rear windows.

We ordered it as an option. It’s called the aft cockpit sun shade with sunset shade on the build sheet.
Thanks but you said you ordered it, from who? Ranger tug doesn't list it on there site, OR maybe you got it somewhere else?
It was an option from Ranger Tugs at the time we ordered our boat.
Interesting, but a ding to Ranger for not providing at least a mounting diagram. Not sure about that mesh fabric, either. Have fun!
The mesh fabric is actually quite nice. It works well as a shade material, without be a sail for the wind to catch.
