- Hello everyone.
This week, I uploaded a video of "Walking The Cup Techniques" in the form of a #shorts video about "Walking The Cup Technique" of weaving while rolling a nozzle, which is one of the basic techniques for TIG welding.
This technique is also called weaving, rubbing, rollin or rolling.
If you like this kind of short video, I will upload it occasionally in the future.
Thank you for watching.
Have a nice week.

Hello brothers.
This week, I uploaded a short video of the "Walking The Cup Technique", which is one of the basic techniques for TIG welding, which is weaving while rolling a nozzle.
It is also called weaving, rubbing, rolling or rolling.
I hope that this was a little reference to my brothers who practice welding.
I'll upload this kind of short video from time to time as well.
Thanks for watching and have a great week.

In 1st year of welding school my instructor came up behind me while I was trying to weld and he was looking through his own helmet and grabbed my hands and started welding for me so I could feel the motion and as soon as he let go I had it down. After that everything else was so much easier. Legend of an instructor. This was a good clear video, reminded me of that instructor.
Talk about walk a mile in another man’s shoes huh. Super cool story, thanks for sharing. Such an interesting insight for reaching from your instructor.

Welding at least for me isn't that difficult, you just need to know the dos and donts
@@AceBradMan just tried welding today on a VR and its hella hard, i tried it on a very easy surface and it still came out horribly
@@francy8589 I don’t know about VR, but after my experience stick welding some diy racks(used 3” angle, 4” sq tubing) for storing surplus material, I arrived at the same conclusion as you. It was extremely hard for a beginner. I was able to eventually get them done but it took every bit of two 1/4” grinding discs and countless stops to adjust the settings on the old 3 phase machine I was using.

Your welds look like they were done by a damn machine 👌🏼👌🏼

Well, people are biological machines, in fact. So, you're not too far from truth.
@@tigrosabertooth4757 lol fair point.
Great looking weld,Once you learn the technique it isn’t hard. But learn to free hand first cause you won’t always be able to walk the cup.I’ve been welding 28 years.Love Tig welding.
I hope the "cold weld" guys will get inspired by this video.
Haha😂
Nope they're still going to stick to that keep calling it cold Welding
It technically is “cold welding” by definition of the machine and the current settings it is on. A miller has a “cold” setting thats uses a switch to entirely cut the circuit (over and over)so it is not a fluctuating current.
@@Sak-zo1ui Except that's not what cold welding actually means, you can really only find true cold welding in the conditions of space or a *very* expensive vaccum chamber that can make about the same conditions as space.
@@soup5344 yes it where there is no oxidation layer and metals literally bond to each other. I am explaining where they are getting what cold welding from.
You don't need to be a welder to appreciate how beautiful this is. Keep up the good work❤❤

No but as a welder this is orgasmic
I'm not a welder, but I am a carpenter. I am regularly using a caulk gun and to make a uniform and even bead u have to apply a similar technique. I am in aww of the level of skill and patience and a steady hand it must take to weld proficiently.
Don’t spent too much time with your caulk on your hands or you’ll go blind
Good job

You must not be doing finish carpentry then, I do finish/trim carpentry full time and the only time we ever pick up a caulk gun is to use liquid nails lmao, we leave the caulking for the painters f that

This is so beautiful and borderline art!
Just started welding a few months ago and I absolutely love it. It’s like an art to me.
As a new welder I will let you in on a secret.
Walking the cup is neat but has little real application. Spend your time on stringer for penetration and profile. Walking the cup is fun but mostly for show.
Now that my friend, is Precision welding.
Good old sundays .. you keep posting and I will keep watching .. first class as usual.

That weld was a work of art. I always struggled with tig at college, but loved stick welding
For everyone thats never done this it’s actually incredibly hard and he makes it look super easy
Thanks, tips 🫡
Superb just watching how smoothly this welder makes it look.
Идеально!!! Можно смотреть вечно без маски! Автору респект!!!!😊
This has to be one of the best “how to” videos for welding and actually understand! Awesome work
I seriously didn't know you could do that. I've just held it up and worked it that way for years now. have a steady hand from it but no where near as clean as that. Revelation has came to me from this video
Wow, that’s a beautiful weld!! I want to learn tig and be able to weld like that one day, amazing work!
You can do it! I recommend the Primeweld tig225 as a good, versatile welding machine. Its beginner friendly and has all the features you want/need to tig weld any metal. Plus its like 1/4 the cost of a miller
You know this is a machine right?
@@BVonBuescher what do you mean ? Yeah it’s a tig welder, but it’s moved by hand.
I watch so many welding videos that I really feel like I could be a master welder within a couple weeks

Screw welding school. I feel like this short was all I needed to learn how to weld. Thanks HAGOJIBI 👍🏼

Would really love to see more content. MY dad is a welder and has been for 25 years. I like your methods. I like sharing them with him. Beautiful work.

This guy has pre-powers Dr. Strange hands.
Thanks for this upload . You're definitly the senseï of walking the cup ! Have a nice day too
This is the most effective and efficient way of teaching someone how to really walk the cup. I’ve been welding 4 years now and TIGing 2 years. You just fixed everything 😅
I love how one of my favorite patterns appear while attaching two things together nearly every time whether it’s welding or sewing even in braiding, the pattern appears I love it.
Your pattern is quite useful to holding things together. I'd classify it as a "universal shape" for that.
Tig welding gives out the most beautiful pattern out of all..❤️❤️❤️
Just because it's pretty doesn't mean it will hold.

Well you do not :/ every good welder knows that this putts more heat in the material. It only applyes on big gaps ;)
@@hirr1 I guessed it... This is only good for thick metal and, as u said, big gaps :)
I've always seen videos of people walking like that and think "gee that looms complicated" but your brilliant demonstration with the pipe shows how simple it is
I’m an English teacher in Brazil, and I love teaching, don’t get me wrong, but man what I wouldn’t do to have a welding class, just to work as a welder.
This looks super satisfying, seeing those braids, so clean and uniform.
Grazie maestro, vorrei tanto che tu facessi altri video come questi, non e facile quel gioco di polso, mi piacerebbe vedere dei tuoi suggerimenti per allenare la mano. Grazie.
That is one beautiful weld, & awesome demonstration! 👌 I've done this on stainless steel pipe with filler rod while building commercial laundry facilities, it's not as easy as this talented pro makes it look, once you get the rhythm right it starts getting easier, my welds never looked that perfect, but some of my coworkers did, that takes natural talent, or lots of practice, maybe even both 😎
It's not mentioned in the video, but it's also important that the welder moves in a similar motion moving their butt from left to right
I weld and the precision shown here is breathtaking. I was woried he wasnt moving the rod fast enough and was gona blow out the back. Thanks for the vid gives me ideas on how to improve!

Absolutely beautiful! You hear guys talk about this kind of welding but you are the first guy I’ve seen that did it.
The control is unreal. What a beautiful weld!
Walking the cup is not allowed in aerospace or on any weld test. It puts too much heat into the material. I walk the cup freehand which is more difficult. I only walk the cup to get a flush weld that needs more filler material. I need a flush weld so there are no low spots when the finishers grind my weld off. Walking the cup serves zero purpose on a scientific level whatsoever hence the reason you cannot do it on tests.
so whats the technique for a test or aerospace tig weld like this? do you just move the nozzle back and forth in same motion but not touching the cup? or do you do those little dots that push into each other?
@@xcreeseseater38 any stringer bead technique where you dab or a rod will work fine.
The way you pass is consistency.
Look at my channel. I have a video where I show multiple aerospace tests from spacex to Honeywell
@@xcreeseseater38 ruclips.net/video/vKs4PLspJsE/видео.html
dude, if you got your own welding channel, which im sure isn't half as big as this guy's, then do your so called "scientific" weld there! don't be the only douchbag in the comments saying he's doing it wrong! because unless he he's welding a fucking spaceship, im sure his weld is perfect! and id add, most likely better than yours, which is why your talking shit on his video. always gotta be sissy keyboard warrior in the comments. just enjoy and move tf on!
I'm currently in a welding certification course for TIG welding and according to my instructor, this method of welding will get you dragged off of a job site very quickly, unless it's a 6g weld.

That looks tricky, but the results are definitely sturdy. It’s like it’s sewn together
Sewn together would be having a very small amount of material interwoven between two things. This is melting the two things to just the correct depth and letting the pools combine and re-solidify into something that is now just one thing with no boundary between what used to be two things. It is now only 1 thing.
