2004 Tacoma just got the code for this. That space to unscrew is annoying. lol. Thanks for the vid. I believe this one is bank 1, sensor 2 and bank 1 sensor 1 is near the engine.
You should use a 6 point socket on the flange nuts as opposed to a 12 point. The points on the factory flange nuts are slightly rounded and a 12 point socket will not grip the nut at the points as well as a 6 point socket that has more grip on the flats.

helpful vid thanks, the nuts holding mine on were completly rusts though, had to slowly use pliers to get off and had to get new nuts

can the sensor go bad if the heat shield is gone?
I replaced both 02's along with the cats still getting p0036 any ideas?
Did you reset the codes after installation
No do you just disconnect the battery?
You can disconnect the battery or you can also get the reset at your local auto parts store.
