@@NorthernAnts24 I’ve been ant keeping for years but still feel like a noob 😂 so many ants and so much to learn. And don’t get me started on trying to pronounce the bloody names 😆 One of my camponotus species are my current favourites! Nicos! Just so awesome, and one of the most beginner friendly species when it comes to exotics. So much fun to keep, super fast growing and soooo pretty! I got my Nicos in January with just the first few workers and I’m close to 1000 workers now. They are epic! Highly recommend lol
@@antsengland714 nicos are what im thinking about now 🤔 I usually live stream games on twitch and i was always making gaming content on youtube but its been a while since i did any of that, i still stream games but not much yt content, started with a few ant videos recently just got a 7q fire ant colony and made a new natural set up, I absolutely love it!
I got my Camponotus colony around the same time as you with around 10 ish workers. But now they're Peaking 50 workers But don't have a single Media/Major worker
I’m sure you will get some soon! Felt like it took forever for my messors to get anything close to being classed as majors. Think it was around 100 workers. Different queens produce them when they feel like it. Seen some camponotus with huge ones at 30 workers and seen colonies take till well over 100 before majors. Keep an eye on your brood, you’ll likely see them get bigger and you’ll know they are on the way. Good luck 🤞 keep me updated! I haven’t kept camponotus long so I’m still learning. But look forward to seeing an update on yours ♥️🐜🐜🐜🐜
I liked this video very soothing to listen to .I have some natural type wooden nests planned for some of mine .
