I just picked up a single of Platinum Blitz Fox, and it's my absolute favorite Bakugan from the reboot now. Easily. Folds into a perfect ball, easy to close, rolls reliably, and has a really nice weight to it. It's about as heavy as my weightier bakutechs. I love it
Sadly the “Mythics” dont get to use the old evos :/ Its been confirmed by the developers (the reasoning is because they are considered to be different bakugan). However! The good news behind this is you can use both the mythic and the non mythic bakugan on the same team :D
bakugan in this season have their faction symbols in their faction's accent color. so pyrus has orange, aquos yellow, etc. none of the nano have chase variants. Also mythics are their own character cards and do not work with the previous evos. the hexagonal effects work as you thought with the other two symbols (+) and (->) respectively adding a extra core to your active and stealing a core from the opponent's active gan. the hex core effects (known in the discords as moonrunes) are instant on open and can't be responded to. as for the coloring there is new colors for each faction and the plastic on nillious is hao's new color.The platinum naming is used on the fans with metal on their bodies. platinum Power up pack platniums have opaque plastic bits instead of trans parts but otherwise are the same as any other platinum. I wrote this as the video was going so apologies on any errors or grammatical inconsistencies.
Regarding color schemes, looking at the checklist confirms that not to be the case, though. In fact, checking the list shows that most of the Platinum Bakugan have some sort of Elemental or Diamond marker, while even the new Bakugan on the normals list still use the original scheme. I think this color scheme is meant for Platinum Bakugan or this introductory series, and not the series as a whole.

The checklist this time around is insufficient due to them not showing every version and attribute attainable. Single platniums have translucent parts, power up packs have opaque parts, even the platniums in 5 packs are different with their mostly unpainted bodies.
Fun fact there are three kinds of Platinum Bakugan depending on what pack you get them from: There is the regular Translucent Platinum that comes in the Platinum singles. Their primary colour is on the outer translucent parts while it's secondary colour is on the metal body. There is the Opaque Platinums that come in the Platinum Power-up Packs. Their primary colour is on the metal body while the secondary colour is on the outer plastic parts. Finally there is the Silver Body Platinums. They come in Battle Strike Packs that contains one Platinum, one Geogan, two Nanogan and two Core Bakugan. They have either opaque or translucent plastic of their primary color (Pyrus, Ventus and Darkus are translucent while Aquos, Haos and Aurelus are opaque) and their Metal body is silver. Also ALL Bakugan be it Cores, Platinums or Ultras have new colour schemes for all the factions as well as different elemental patterns for each Faction further distinguishing the new reprints from the old. Finally all faction Symbols are coloured meaning that Chrysalin is just a regular Pyrus Chrysalin. The reason why Riptide has a Black faction symbol is because it is exclusive to Haos Nanogan as Platinum Nillious has a coloured one.

Not a fan of the new haos colors. That aside I’m not sure what to make of the nanos yet. I’ll have to see cause I was hoping they’d make more cars mechanics and less toy mechanics.
How do they manufacture all the different Bakugan figures and make a profit? They seem extremely intricate, unlike trading cards that can be printed en masse very easily
really smart uses of the same mechanisms. There are diffrent molds but certain bodies and forms are reused strategically. Look at behemos and harpirion for example. Besides wing style and the back legs of harpirion they are very similar to close and play with. Nemus and Brontes from legacy series are another example.
