- So, in my previous video I showed how to connect in parallel and slowly balance charge EVE cells. They way I showed was going to take over 40 days because we have so many large capacity cells. Here is better way to balance charge these cells. I will be configuring my 64 cells into a 16P4S pack and then using this balance charger to top balance the cells. This video shows a test run with a small 4S configuration of the cells.
I tried this, the q8 takes way too long to pull the lower mismatched cells up to 3.6. I just ended up putting the q8 in 1s mode and charging each cell one at a time then 1s the whole system directly onto benchtop power supply and that is working pretty well so far
Can I charge as "battery to battery charger"?
I would like to charge my additional battery from starter battery(12V) to 24V (8pcs) LiFePo4
Can you please confirm if the charger can be use to charge battery pack through the BMS on the battery pack ?
Crud, I purchased BG-8S instead of Q8.
Still a great little monitoring meter to have. Get an S6 or X8 from iCharger. Much much faster than the ISDT Q8
Thank you!!!
You bet!
I got a 30v 10a DC charger working on 8 280ah cells in parallel right now, been going for 96 hours straight, does it ever end!? Haha. Has dropped from 8amps to 6amp so I can only assume I'm getting closer
I think mine took about 4-5 days for each 8 pack with a similar charger. I had 3 chargers going at the same time to get all the cells balanced quicker.
280*8=2240Ah? I think? You've only done 960Ah so assuming they are half full then yes you were getting close and thats why it had entered CV mode.
Hi! Does anybody can help with the issue with this charger? When I run self test, it gives me the error - Connection Check: Battery Present(211). Every connections is in places, it charge and discharge, but the error never goes away. And its also doest show the internal resistance for some reason on mu lifepo4 8s (same EVE)
Internal resistance might be too low. 280Ah cells should have an IR less than 0.25 milliohms. Your best Lipos are going to have an IR of 1 or 2 milliohms. Check the resolution of the Q8. I think that might be why you get the error if you're positive your balance leads are connected coorrectly.
What Brand are those cells?
Where did you buy them?
I bought them from Shenzen Luyuan on Alibaba.
What DC power supply are you using?
Longwei DC Power Supply Variable 30V 10A, 4-Digital LED Display, Precision Adjustable Switching Regulated Multifunctional Power Supply Digital with USB Interface, Disply with Output Power Lab Grade

Kérjük, tegye ide kérdéseit.
What are you going to use for a BMS?
Chargery BMS
Buy icharger X6 it can charge at 30amp that make work faster and it save alot time
I got er done already. Thanks though!
