I asked my China vendor for the torque, the answer is no more than 8Nm (70.8 in-lb). I have six 48V batteries. The first two were at 40 in-lb, the rest were at 65 in-lb. Guess what? The 4 batteries had higher torque worked great. The two had lower torque (40 in-lb) did not balance well, every time I charged them, a few cells jumped up to fast, the rest stayed low until the JK-BMS turned off "CHARGE" for "Over Voltage Protection". My over voltage protection was 3.6V. At first, I thought the problem was the BMS or battery cells but the truth was the TORQUE!

They use to sell them with a slee with a bendable knife to cut nice thick molding for ceilings and more 20 yrs ago in socal

Pretty much all of these type of Foam cutter are a massive ripoff, they are nothing more than a soldering iron body/heater with a flat tip for which you pay best part of £100!!!

Have you checked with Owens-Corning about toxic chemicals released and suggested protective gear?

Very interesting video I have 48v Lvl 15.4kWh lithium batteries 24v each which are connected in series to make up to 48v I misplaced the bic card which means I can't use the bms in the Battery pack. I want to know if there is a way to build my own bms in both packs. Thank you

So will the automatic transfer switch still work without power coming from the grid. Like if the grid was to go down for weeks would this transfer switch still be able to function despite the grid being down at the moment?

My question would be how it would work with board that has foil-backed card on the flat surfaces? I could see that burning rather than 'melting.'

I use a 3" or 4' drywall knife . I sharpened one or both side edges and use that to cut foam board. I suppose I could attach it to an angled board to get an angle on the cut. A file will resharpen the edge.

Normal offset teeth sawblades produce clouds of nasty plastic dust. Any blade with a wavy, thin (knife-like) profile will cut clean and dust free. For my project using 120mm sheets, I ground the teeth and side edges off a 9" reciprocating saw blade. Perfect. For thinner sheets, same can apply with jigsaw blades, plus there are proprietary wavy blades for jigsaws. Hand cutting - if thick, use Bahco insulation saw. Thinner boards - probably utility blades and snapping will work best. From UK, you're welcome.

I want prefer straighter cuts to go between floor joist, circular saw will make straighter cuts. I probably would've doubled up 2" form board to get a straighter cut...

Mini (Winter) Solar Tip: You can gradually turn down a boiler and all other hungry electricity consumers with the "5000W dimmer". Ebay €7. I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to sell large devices. So, with the dimmer, all internal heaters/devices can be converted into base load devices that stay almost permanently ON, drawing very little current directly from the PV. With a wattmeter / energy cost measuring device you can then measure this perfectly in order to set the dimmer optimally. A little hint (for everyone else): Energy cannot be saved. So if I want to boil my water, I always have to use the same amount of energy for one liter. Christian's method relies on a longer period of time with less power in order to be able to use the power provided by the PV as efficiently as possible - so consumption peaks are intercepted. In the end, the energy consumption should even be (slightly) higher due to the interposition of the dimmer, but it doesn't matter, since more efficient coverage by the PV system and therefore better use of the self-generated energy.............................🌞........

I've gone through 3 of these, not one of them actually works, on a 48v battery bank. Only 12v and 24, and I went into the app, and selected 48v, and the charger shuts down every single time.

Did you finally read the manual and find out what the 2 AC lines in and the 2 AC lines out are actually for ? I just remembered listening to some of your idea's of what you thought the 2 AC in an outs were for . I have the same quattro inverter/charger . That's $2500 ! I read every single bit of information it came with before I hooked anything up. Its quite an impressive piece of equipment isn't it !!! I've had mine over a year an a half now . I have 21 210 watt solar panels , with a victron mppt smart solar charge controller , and 32 280 AH prismatic lithium cells configured into a 16s 2p 48v bank which is 560 AH . I also have a generator hooked up just incase , But It never starts ! The solar panels supply enough energy to keep the batteries up even on cloudy days .

Can the Moes ATS-11KW Intelligent Dual Power Transfer Controller be used to transfer between 2 battery banks in a solar system using 1 inverter/charger? both banks are 24v AGM, the batteries in each bank have different AHs which is why I have 2 banks. One bank is made 20 AGM 12V 35AH batteries @24v bank, the other is 2 AGM 12v 210AH batteries @24vs. I want to be able to charge both and switch between them automatically as one bank is drained below 11V it switches to the other.

No. This is not the way to do it, sorry. With time and discharging cycles, your tape will expand. And if a cell is bad, what do you do to replace it? The way to do it is to insert 1/16 plastic sheet (cutting board style) between each cell and use a 3/4 plywood on each end connected with a1/2 treated rod wrapped in PEX tubing and nit and washer licks on each end. 2 rods on each side.
