As someone who was here for almost all of this. If you've never been in a state event this PERFECTLY portrays how it feels in my opinion. Being one of the few survivors I genuinely got somewhat emotional over minecraft. From what i've read of the comments a lot of you did too. It's good to see that this video can give you a nice insight into state aside from the theatrics of Ish's own spectacular videos!
It was truly an amazing experience to share with everyone! Glad to have been one with the Pirates! It really was an emotional time after the final battle, never really got to say goodbye to everyone.

Took out a rival pirate, corrupt dignitaries, supporting friends, unafraid to die for your dream, unafraid to go to war for your friends, and dying like a baller. Definitely worthy of the Kingnof the Pirates. Though I think you have Roger beat if you did came back after the event from ish. It's crazy how linguini mafia have bigger role in the main story but their rival the Canadian Cartel are more known to people thanks to microghost video, therefore you hit a BIG jackpot Ciaran!! Yeah, it's crazy how well Micro's video has done especially considering how small of a group it was! I was very grateful for the Canadian Cartel taking out my assassin but it funny now that you mention it I was doing business with two separate crime organisations. Honestly, the Pirate Republic have a larger role in the story I think than most people know, here's something I neglected to mention in the video as it was out of character, but originally there were two big story lines that people wanted to push, the Infernus-Mafia war subplot and the Fluixon situation. These situations were separate but I was actually the one to suggest that Flux goes to Infernus OOC because obviously for the Pirate Republic, we had interest in pursuing both plotlines, and that is ultimately what happened. It is crazy for me personally to think if it were not for my involvement the final battle of the season would have been very different and that is to me the appeal of Ish's state and civ events in general, that any player can influence the story and change the world around them!

Dude the character development in this is actually so good for real. The Pirate King and his gang of scurry scalawags go from a group of goofy illiterate parrot-loving goofsters who occasionally plunder a diamond or two to avenging fallen friends and mates who fell at the hands of their enemies and mourning those lost along the way. Good stuff, will forget I have been watching this for over an hour again.
As one of the higher ups in Infernus, I was very curious of how in the know the Pirate Republic was in on the Infernus/Linguini situation and just how hook line and sinker people bought Linguini's lies. I did have the pleasure of talking with some of the Republic Pirates before the battle of Infernus who surprised me by showing up to help us defend after telling our side of the story. Perhaps there was a place to be able to make our case at the blue cross trial, but trial after botched trial with shouting matches, assassination attempts, and co-conspirators voting to put us on trial; we opted to just hold our ground to defend our home to give everyone a reason to remember the name Infernus. Overall awesome video and glory to the flame!
Pirates and Mafia are cut from the same cloth when it comes to organised crime. Though it does surprise me to hear some pirate republic members defended Infernus, I knew of one rouge crew within the pirate republic but they did a bad job of rebelling i suppose as I never even heard of any rebellion. I was one of the members of the Covenant, and we were just as shocked and angry when the Peacekeepers hit the mafia. It was one of the reasons for the Covenant to fall into Civil War. Turntapp (The Leader of the Covenant and who directed the Peacekeepers alongside Infernus) was the one killed in the courthouse by us rebels, and Strategy (The High Judge) walked out because he was the leader of the resistance and the Peacekeepers were out to get him.
57:12 To be completely fair, the majority of us Luminarians had absolutely no idea Fluix was involved in the assassinations. Also, something you may have forgotten to show somewhere around 58:19 was the mad disrespect for disrupting our funeral for the late president. Other than that, nice video.

I saw Mirco's video first, so seeing him pop up here, felt strangely like a well done fan service cameo, especially the way he walked out the van seemed like something that'd happen in a sitcom.
It's very amusing, I don't think anyone could have anticipated the great success of Micro's video and attention to the Canadian Cartel it brought to them, it's amusing to me because in the event they were a small group who helped us out with the Casual Potato's assassination attempt, yet almost a year later after the event, Micro uploads his POV, it does amazingly well and now to people watching this video who have seen his video, he really does stand out like a cameo lmao
call it a small hunch but I think avenging your fallen allies who were illegally killed in your land is a LITTLE different than sending assassins to take out a political rival
@CiaranPixelz fair enough, an eye for an eye I guess. I just forget what the second part of the quote was. on a side note, there was 0 diplomacy attempted to resolve the planned assassination on you. Blood was shed immediately, though it was not in any way under your control, it shows how these deaths are painted differently across the POV’s. In the end, the people you hate the most have families who love the way you loved your own. And your loved ones, could be villains in another’s. (this is an analogy, I am aware this is just a block game) so in the end, how can one really know, which side of history are they fighting on?
Well, there was the trial which was the compromise from going instantly to war but yeah overall I do agree Everyone is the hero in their own story, ultimately it is those who win who determine the right and the wrong side of history

Man they should really get some kind of ships mod for these civ events. Just sayin. The dinky little minecraft rafts are kind of underwhelming and dont really do it justice for an event of this scale. I mean most of the map is all islands anyway, i feel this at least should be something they should add. It would make navigation and exploration, the core elements of the event, more interesting and challenging. Especially if you guys are playing pirates! I mean you of all people should have proper pirate ships, and galleons and so on. Its not really as intimidating if its just a bunch of guys in little row boats you know... Anyway, i still thoroughly enjoyed the video. There's nothing like ish's Civ events... i can tell you that! 😅

Ah, good catch! honestly I can't remember. possibly from replay, replay allows you to make people invisible in any given scene, I might have done this to make the scene better but your guess is as good as mine lmao
Hey, cool vid, glad I found this after the canadian breaking bad one! Quick question, how did you make the "cinematic" scenes? Is there some kind of mod, or is it reenactment after the fact?
I used this mod called replay mod that basically allows you to turn gameplay into the cinematic shots you see in the video as you can set the camera up however you want!

It's crazy how linguini mafia have bigger role in the main story but their rival the Canadian Cartel are more known to people thanks to microghost video, therefore you hit a BIG jackpot Ciaran!! With micro video that blow up and ish upcoming video that will 100% blow up, there will be more people recognize you and the pirate republic! 🏴☠
Yeah, it's crazy how well Micro's video has done especially considering how small of a group it was! I was very grateful for the Canadian Cartel taking out my assassin but it funny now that you mention it I was doing business with two separate crime organisations.
Honestly, the Pirate Republic have a larger role in the story I think than most people know, here's something I neglected to mention in the video as it was out of character, but originally there were two big story lines that people wanted to push, the Infernus-Mafia war subplot and the Fluixon situation.
These situations were separate but I was actually the one to suggest that Flux goes to Infernus OOC because obviously for the Pirate Republic, we had interest in pursuing both plotlines, and that is ultimately what happened. It is crazy for me personally to think if it were not for my involvement the final battle of the season would have been very different and that is to me the appeal of Ish's state and civ events in general, that any player can influence the story and change the world around them!

Dude the character development in this is actually so good for real. The Pirate King and his gang of scurry scalawags go from a group of goofy illiterate parrot-loving goofsters who occasionally plunder a diamond or two to avenging fallen friends and mates who fell at the hands of their enemies and mourning those lost along the way. Good stuff, will forget I have been watching this for over an hour again.

As one of the higher ups in Infernus, I was very curious of how in the know the Pirate Republic was in on the Infernus/Linguini situation and just how hook line and sinker people bought Linguini's lies. I did have the pleasure of talking with some of the Republic Pirates before the battle of Infernus who surprised me by showing up to help us defend after telling our side of the story. Perhaps there was a place to be able to make our case at the blue cross trial, but trial after botched trial with shouting matches, assassination attempts, and co-conspirators voting to put us on trial; we opted to just hold our ground to defend our home to give everyone a reason to remember the name Infernus. Overall awesome video and glory to the flame!
Pirates and Mafia are cut from the same cloth when it comes to organised crime. Though it does surprise me to hear some pirate republic members defended Infernus, I knew of one rouge crew within the pirate republic but they did a bad job of rebelling i suppose as I never even heard of any rebellion. I was one of the members of the Covenant, and we were just as shocked and angry when the Peacekeepers hit the mafia. It was one of the reasons for the Covenant to fall into Civil War. Turntapp (The Leader of the Covenant and who directed the Peacekeepers alongside Infernus) was the one killed in the courthouse by us rebels, and Strategy (The High Judge) walked out because he was the leader of the resistance and the Peacekeepers were out to get him.
Oh yeah I heard about the civil war it’s interesting how much Mario’s murder had such a big effect
I was part of Elysium and helped build this massive defensive wall. It’s so awesome hearing about everyone else’s experiences during the event

I saw Mirco's video first, so seeing him pop up here, felt strangely like a well done fan service cameo, especially the way he walked out the van seemed like something that'd happen in a sitcom.
It's very amusing, I don't think anyone could have anticipated the great success of Micro's video and attention to the Canadian Cartel it brought to them, it's amusing to me because in the event they were a small group who helped us out with the Casual Potato's assassination attempt, yet almost a year later after the event, Micro uploads his POV, it does amazingly well and now to people watching this video who have seen his video, he really does stand out like a cameo lmao

on a side note, there was 0 diplomacy attempted to resolve the planned assassination on you. Blood was shed immediately, though it was not in any way under your control, it shows how these deaths are painted differently across the POV’s. In the end, the people you hate the most have families who love the way you loved your own. And your loved ones, could be villains in another’s. (this is an analogy, I am aware this is just a block game) so in the end, how can one really know, which side of history are they fighting on?
Well, there was the trial which was the compromise from going instantly to war but yeah overall I do agree Everyone is the hero in their own story, ultimately it is those who win who determine the right and the wrong side of history

Just sayin. The dinky little minecraft rafts are kind of underwhelming and dont really do it justice for an event of this scale.
I mean most of the map is all islands anyway, i feel this at least should be something they should add.
It would make navigation and exploration, the core elements of the event, more interesting and challenging.
Especially if you guys are playing pirates! I mean you of all people should have proper pirate ships, and galleons and so on.
Its not really as intimidating if its just a bunch of guys in little row boats you know...

I used this mod called replay mod that basically allows you to turn gameplay into the cinematic shots you see in the video as you can set the camera up however you want!
