@@tubandt84 don't think so and it seems alien but then i think about how many times he had to play it...to write it, to record it, to play it live over and over. probably ingrained in his memory at that point
@@tubandt84 Yeah start to finish, the full song. I'm sure he's messed around with various parts of it here and there, I know for sure he's demonstrated the lead section before to people.
Honestly even with the fame Jeff has found he is still one of the most underrated guitar players, especially when it comes to rhythm playing, he unbelievable lead playing overshadows his other incredible talents, pure awesome.
Agreed. Peeps don't know what underrated means. Jeff is my 2nd fav guitarist next to Lynch. I met Jeff and George at Winter NAMM, 2019. It was awesome! 💚🎸
Well hello Jeff Loomis it is nice to meet you pretty kick ass guitar skills man I have to say when you haven't played for a while or a certain song and you get back to it it is so rewarding
I wonder if it's hard for him emotionally to play these songs now. Definitely the most underrated guitarist of our time. Nevermore is one of my favorite bands
@@tubandt84 jep, people these days throw around words and don't even know what they really mean half of the time. just repeating the same 4 sentences they heard somebody else utter and copy paste
A great solo for warm up haha Loomis and Tony iommi, two guitar riffs gods My mind blow away first time I listened "my acid words" , and when I met Warren here in Brazil and ask him to sing this song he told me "next time" Well, after a month he passed away.
'I have'nt played this song in like.....11 years..haha!' well you know what, that hit me REALLY hard!I bought Dead Heart back in 2000 the week it came out.It was like my 10th cd i had back then.It was like a religion experience, Blew my mind!Set the bar so high for each album after that..i mean if they can play like that EVERYONE has to play like that!Little i knew that Nevermore made history and Jeff took himself on a totally new level only with the best. All hail Jeff Loomis,All hail Nevermore! (quick tip:2000, what a year for metal man!some of my all time favorites released like the same..month!Dead Heart,The Haunted made me do It, Gateways from Morbid,Follow the Ripper...also Halford,Maiden and Motorhead released some of their best works!)
Okay so we get to the finger tapping part and my jaw just dropped. I'm a child from the '80s so my hugest influences were Steve Vai and Kurt Cobain odd combination but what you're doing I'm super interested in because this is where I'm at musically lately
He's super kind and warm in person too. I got to talk to him for a minute when he did an appearance in Wisconsin and he was just awesome to talk to, gave me a hug and signed my t-shirt.
I had always wondered what Jeff or Dane could do when they had already reached the height of metal in their first band. Now that Jeff is alone, I see that I was sadly right.
I saw this guy live once and it was so infuckingsanely loud that everyone in the venue left to go to the lobby and plug their ears until the next act came. Absolutely stupid. Not sure if that was just the sound guy or what
OK dude there’s a new gun slinger. I don’t know how New he is but he can shred ungodly lyrics….name of Victor Smólski check him out. He has no style. He just plays the guitar till it breaks in half like Eric Steckel.!!!….
This is great! Do you mind if I repost on my youtube channel?
Off course you can repost it! :)
Hahah Jeff, are you using a RUclips backing track?
@@5mingameplay the Spotify track didn‘t work for some reasons, so he used YT haha
@@henrikschaller8584 what are the chances hahaha nice one
Jeff, you and Chris Broderick need form a new Band! Pls!
That jamming in that ad was better than all my years playing guitar.
His jamming is amazing
Lmao tell me about it
People wrongfully label Loomis as just a shredder lead guy and forget how great his riffs and songwriting in general is.
His songwriting and rhythm skills are outstanding!!
> i havent played this song in 11 years
> proceeds to absolutely nail the solo note by note like he was practising on it the previous day
Jeff is the best!
I'm quite sure he meant live/ in front of an audience. i guess he plays it at least partially on a regularly basis.

How far back does this wizard and band go? Ahead of their time. The old songs can compete and dominate another today's new shot! Beastlike.
we need more Loomis songwriting and playing!! Been missing that badly.
Hope he will soon release his new solo album!
I love how organic this clinic is, no corporate BS just Jeff doing his thing,
It was a fantastic clinic!
him jamming to the ad is the greatest thing ever loll
I first thought this isn‘t happening right now. That was sooo great and funny😂
NEVERMORE forever. Waiting for Jeff's next instrumental release, that's where his true power & skill is unleashed
Can‘t wait for it!
sat back down watching my god vibing
Saw Nevermore in Myrtle Beach SC back in 2004ish with Evergrey, Throwdown and In Flames. Met Jeff after the show. Super nice guy.
🤘🤘🤘
He is so down to earth. Amazing human being 🤘
One of my favourite songs from Nevermore.

HE'S THE RIFFMACHINE \m/
His song writing is really underrated
He is not under-rated by people in the guitar world. But, he may be under-recognized.

He improvised on that ad. That was amazing.
That was such a great moment!

Well, well, well. What a treat! Nevermore, forevermore.

Thx 4 sharing Henrik!
You are welcome! So happy I‘ve got this all on video. It‘s great to see how fast he noticed how to inprovise over this ad!

He is a lot but definitely not underrated, everyone in Metal etc. appreciates him and knows his skill.

Jeff loomis and Chris Broderick , greatest duo in metal
They were amazing together!!
@@henrikschaller8584 they really were

Keith Merrow and Jeff were better IMO! Musically was just tasty stuff

Agree!
I miss Jeff and Nevermore so much

My G3 would be: Michael Romeo, Jeff Loomis, and Kiko Loureiro!
Great choices!
What a monstrous tone! Sounds like a breathing, roaring engine or something like that :) great amount of mids
Best metal guitarist.
Agree!!
jamming to the ad music lol what a master
This jam was incredible!
Jeff should finally finish his solo album. I just don't think that he shows too much in Arch Enemy. Miss his own music.
His new solo album will definetly come!

What an amazing human being! I love him so much, he's my Idol! Does anybody know what wah pedal he is using?
Sadly don‘t know which pedal he used. But he just announced is own signature pedal!

Rip warrel Dane I felt him through this performance by band mate Loomis 🙂
He is really missed..
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
too bad Nevermore couldn't make their tour in Taiwan,I already bought the ticket back then😭
Very sad they broke up!
I had always wondered what Jeff or Dane could do when they had already reached the height of metal in their first band.
Now that Jeff is alone, I see that I was sadly right.
I feel Townsend is the only one who could cover Warrel Dane
Jajajajaja good
I have always played power chords using pointy/pinky and felt like I cheated. At least I cheat in good company! 😅
Haha
Hey youtube u got a guitarist....
What is the amp/setup?
What amp is he using?
This is why you're here: 4:11
I'll be right back. I'm gonna sell all my gear and take up knitting. I don't deserve to own anything that makes sound.
I have a jackson sl2 soloist ( not this guitar but it's really nice). However I don't have Jeff's dexterity or genius. Very martin friedman.
Just imagine how good Jeff & others could be if they had a hair cut and played the strings more instead of playing with they’re hair. 🧐
Faro de luz
Cómo q el faro de atrás no iba
Where is the cheering? No noise after the solo? Come on!
We all were impressed and speechless, we cheered a lot after the song!
That would be C major. Not D Major
Jeff looked more awesome with schecter

Likely still asking crazy money for his signature model guitar's that are no better than the cheap ones if you take the time to properly modify it!
