When chalking, try going over the tip smoothly with a little pressure as if you're painting over the tip. The chalk sticks much better. The tough chalking is not caking the chalk on as efficiently. It's just scraping the chalk to the tip and you'll see more chalk raining to the floor or your pinky and index fingers.
As I was watching this, I began to think of what it would be like to have a square table. Where standard tables are rectangles with 6 pockets, a square table would have 8 pockets like the one in the video, 4 corner pockets and 4 side pockets. Just a thought.
I was thinking the same thing. I think you would come across a lot of shots too far away for a normal shot. Probably would end up using the bridge a lot with a square table that big
@@pharumnelson7108 I think you might want to build one using 4 long rails from a 7' size table. That might still require the use of a bridge quite often. If you were to build a square table with 4 long rails from a 9' size table, I think that it would be very hard to reach most shots. I would be interested to see what a 7' square table would be like to play on though. It might be fun.

Awesome, never seen a table like this. Good potting, must add another level of necessary skill. Is it a 7ft and are you using 48" cue where you're limited for space. We'd like a 7ft table but only enough space along the length for 48" cue. Do you find it affects your game much?
We had an L-shaped table at a bar in Des Moines, Iowa. Good felt and a slate bed. It played much like a Valley table. The place was closed up when I stopped by about a year ago. I would like to know what happened to the table.
I had no idea they made tables like this in real life. Crazy looking but also really challenging. They need a better cloth on that table though. This cloth runs way too slow for me. Also, using a short stick would kill me.
I came across 1 of these tables in Saratoga WY. A nice bar called The Whistle Pig Saloon. It was made by Right-Angle Billiards in New York. It's also known as an 8 pocket pool table. They are extremely rare. According to the rules from the manufacturer, the head ball of the opening rack should be pointed toward the inside middle pocket. Then you can break from either end. 👍
Cool table to try but why you didnt let any space between the pool table and that pac-man (whatever it is) table ? If you need to take a shot from that corner it's stupid.

Wow tell me you just didn't flip a coin on the table.... you lag for the break or flip a coin off the table if you must do that. But flip a voin on table at our pool hall and you get banned
I've literally seen 1 million coins flipped or tossed at the spot in 40 years of pool. Unless you are tossing a heavy coin you will not damage the felt before the amount of play makes you replace the cloth.
@thesafezone3833 really you spent 40 years in a pool hall and don't know you're supposed to lag to break ? 😒 really or bet you ain't heard the phrase challanger racks and breaks ??? Bet the pool hall you go to allows beer glasses on the table also
