I was in the 5th grade in 1974 my teachers husband was a pilot for the PSA in San Diego california she arranged for a field trip to tour one of the planes, I took a home video of the tour, I still remember the bright interior colors, the cockpit and climbing up those moveable stairs to enter the air aircraft,,,, great memories,🙏🏻

PSA was what inspired National Airline Corporation (NAC) our Domestic Airline here in New Zealand to charge their colours in the mid 1970s, after NAC had brought some Boeing 737 -200's from PSA, NAC liked the orange and red decided to use as their new colours, sadly like PSA merged with US AIRWAYS, NAC merged with Air New Zealand in 1978. The PSA Smile still goes at my place and in a smaller form with a collection of PSA model airliners , Lockheed Tristar,Boeing 727-100's and 200's, DC-9-30,DC-9 super 80's ,BAE 146's, Lockheed Electra ( in the old colours), finally a US AIRWAYS Airbus A319 in a PSA retro colours scheme.

PSA was the business model for Southwest Airlines. As Southwest was starting up, the president paid a week-long visit to San Diego and returned to Love Field with the model for its new enterprise. PSA even trained Southwest's first 737 mechanics.

4:20 ..Hotels. So I wasn't dreaming. Wasn't one of their hotels right next to the Forum in Los Angeles that later became the Airport Hotel.
