@@diegomorones-castillo2225 I doubt Freddie would’ve gone downhill musically or creatively I think he would’ve made even more incredible songs for us to listen to
Who else could go into the Opera from Rock and Perform with a True Operatic Diva only the one and Only Greatest Voices and Show Man of all Time Freddie Mercury,no one compares to him musically for me.
The boy had a way with words, he sang, he moved with grace He entertained so naturally, no gesture out of place His road in life was clearly drawn, he didn't hesitate He played, they saw, he conquered as the master of As the master of his fate The girl had an iron soul, no one could recognize Material ambition that her gentleness disguised She gave herself to him certain of his fame Wanted him for luxury, for limelight and his name And then he sang to her I love you for your silence, I love you for your peace The still and calm releases that sweep into my soul That slowly take control I love you for your passion, I love you for your fire The violent desire that burns me in its flame A love I dare not name His rise was irresistible, he grew into the part His explanation simply that he suffered for his art No base considerations of some glittering reward The prize was knowing that his work was noticed and adored I love you for your silence, I love you for your peace The still and calm releases, sweep into my soul Slowly take control Yes, he told the truth Accepting every honor with a masterly display Of well rehearsed reluctance to be singled out this way He started to believe that he was all they said and more She forgot, she forgot the reasons, she had wanted him before I love you for your passion, I love you for your fire The violent desire burns me in its flame Oh, love I dare not name The still and calm releases that sweep into my soul Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly take control And when at last they fell apart, she wished that she could be The hardened heart of yesterday, as cynical as he By changing for the better, she had changed things for the worse The words that made them happy once now echoed, echoed as a curse

outstandingly epic, beautiful! from my own feverish attempt to classify meaning is an embarrising contempt to angels who only speak without words but yet know a thousand language they have no use of.
Yes, he was. But he went deeper and wrote the truth in his music. He said, he was dying a little everyday, because there was no real love in his life. And this was because of the Cosmic Struggle from religion, black & white, both deny Love. Queen songs are not about God, they are about his soulmate: a being both material and angelic who is his final Escape (Freedom).

I have to say I absolutely loved this song, until I heard the gospel choir.....It completely ruined it for me, would love to know how it would have sounded if they didn't introduce the gospel choir, its starts off so strong and powerful, then its awful, I never thought I would say that about a Freddie song :/
Rebecca Clouter I think it would be like a very sweet cake without a little bit of bitterness if this song didn't have the gospel part, just my opinion :)

Only Freddie could mix Rock, Opera and Gospel, and still make like you've listened to a whole life story in one song
0:43 - 1:06 godlike voice.
Freddie will forever be in my heart and my ears. Absolutely a tragedy he isn't with us to continue creating absolute masterpieces.
you either die a hero or you live enough to see yourself the villain (i.e. maybe it was for the best)
Me too. Freddie was my first idol, 1984. 9 years old.

Magnificent. Hauntingly beautiful and including the sheer guttural power of gospel. Freddie's voice never ceases to astonish me.

This song is so beautiful and meaningful in ways that are difficult to describe.
Every part of this song is perfect, the opera, the rock, the gospel...it's a feast to the soul. :) Freddie did it, as always, like a true boss.
True boss...well, good thing that this talented diva was so loving, appreciative and fond of his abilities, eh?
"And then he said to her!" I just love the operatic power in that lyric!
Gospel!
Love it
Rock, opera, and... gospel? Yep. Like a boss as always. ^_^
2024, still listening
Madre mía , qué completo era Freddie Mercury , hasta consiguió hacer ÓPERA ROCK y tener como compañera a la grandiosa Monserrat Caballé.!!
Possibly the best song ever, huge freddie Mercury fan!! R. I. P the legend that saved us all
He did. Saved us with he's music or diagnosis ?
1:39 - Those piano arpeggios are gorgeous with their voices.
The lyrics, the vocals, the orchestration-this song is just incredible all around. It makes me feel sad and happy at the same time. Wow. Just wow.
Some of Freddie's best vocals
What a pair of voices!!! Incredible.
Just close your eyes and listen to this, you can see Fred and Montsy singing it in front of you
The boy had a way with words, he sang, he moved with grace
He entertained so naturally, no gesture out of place
His road in life was clearly drawn, he didn't hesitate
He played, they saw, he conquered as the master of
As the master of his fate
The girl had an iron soul, no one could recognize
Material ambition that her gentleness disguised
She gave herself to him certain of his fame
Wanted him for luxury, for limelight and his name
And then he sang to her
I love you for your silence, I love you for your peace
The still and calm releases that sweep into my soul
That slowly take control
I love you for your passion, I love you for your fire
The violent desire that burns me in its flame
A love I dare not name
His rise was irresistible, he grew into the part
His explanation simply that he suffered for his art
No base considerations of some glittering reward
The prize was knowing that his work was noticed and adored
I love you for your silence, I love you for your peace
The still and calm releases, sweep into my soul
Slowly take control
Yes, he told the truth
Accepting every honor with a masterly display
Of well rehearsed reluctance to be singled out this way
He started to believe that he was all they said and more
She forgot, she forgot the reasons, she had wanted him before
I love you for your passion, I love you for your fire
The violent desire burns me in its flame
Oh, love I dare not name
The still and calm releases that sweep into my soul
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly take control
And when at last they fell apart, she wished that she could be
The hardened heart of yesterday, as cynical as he
By changing for the better, she had changed things for the worse
The words that made them happy once now echoed, echoed as a curse
RIP Freddie......you left this world a better place for having been here!
Thank you Montserrat. R.I.P.

I like 2:30 onwards
+Delta's Adventures same, this gospel part is cool, the rest is useless :P
Where's the one where he has to cover for her and he still hits her notes?
Exercises in free love perhaps??

Didn't need the gospels! I wish it can be edited without that part. It would of been strenuously marvelous!!!!

Westwoods shows Freddie could do everything with his voice. I think it gives the song that extra kick

For sure
I just came across it, and had to listen to it four times today. Masterful!
