    In the rumours of the Soudal Quickstep and Jumbo Visma rumours, it seems that Primoz Roglic could be heading for INEOS Grenadiers who had to see their efforts to sign Tadej Pogacar thwarted. In another team it seems Mark Cavendish might take another year and Astana are trying to assemble his old lead out train with Davide Ballerini confirmed and Michael Morkov rumoured. Nairo Quintana is still without a team in 2023 and 2024 but has been linked with Cofidis, AG2R and his old employer Movistar.

    Having Primoz Roglic and Joans Vingegaard on separate teams would make the grand tours much more fun for a few years. A battle between 3-4 teams at the Tour de France would make it a lot more interesting than having two realistic options in Jonas and Tadej.

    Love the Wayne Gretzky quote Ewan! Brilliant and so VERY true! When I trained with Stephen Roche at his cycling camp in Majorca in 1999, he told me "You have to be willing to lose in order to win." He has said this many times in lots of interviews. It had a greater impact when he was riding beside me and teaching me how to push harder and give it my all. 😀

    Plapp moving is predictable, like Dombrowski, like Boswell,..even maybe Tao there are Ineos riders who fit..and a lot of younger ones who don’t. Their most successful riders seem to be the ones who are ultra self disciplined and committed and treat cycling like a 9-5…Thomas, Froome, Rowe, Kwiato, etc. If that’s not your thing then it’s very hard..ie Bradley Wiggins. I think Plapp will do better at Jayco.

      @georgehugh3455 8 месяцев назад

      @@dennisdoucette9373 Obviously you know little about race tactics, but that's ok. Apart from the fact that Jumbo was determined to take the stage win due to van Hooydonck's car crash that day, and Jonas was well over two mins BEHIND Kuss. Remco was still in the GC race until that very stage, and they still had to worry about Ayuso, et al. Kuss wasn't struggling, and he came in only 30 secs behind Vingegaard for 2nd place.
      Do I think that Vingegaard showed a lack of class when he followed Primoz and left Kuss behind on Stage 17? Certainly. Nor do I think Vingegaard had his priorities straight when he's crying about his daughter's b-day, dedicating stages to van Hooydonck but subsequently choosing to keep up with the disloyal Roglic rather than help his teammate Kuss.
      *But Roglic set the tone.*
      Sepp Kuss had actually stayed back with a floundering Roglic on that very mountain, the Angliru, in 2020 to SAVE ROGLIC'S VUELTA where he won by a mere 24 secs (if I remember correctly). But Roglic abandoned Sepp in the Red Jersey in his moment of need.
      Roglic was STILL being a backstabber even after Jumbo got lambasted on social media and the owner set some new rules - _Sure, my loyal super-domestique and teammate, Sepp, deserves recognition and some glory, "BUT I HAVE MY OWN THOUGHTS ON THAT."_
      In the end, Vingegaard did most of the domestique work for Kuss and even lost time as a result.
