First story I think op is right. No matter what, no matter how much you had to wait till you had your miracle baby but she should atleast teach him the basic manners. She let him ruin the daughters cake, practically just allowed him to ruin her birthday. I hate people who don't wanna hold their child accountable for their mistakes!

I think what's really sad in both stories is that both the rainbow child and the newborn baby have parents that are clearly not caring about their wellbeing in the long run. As much as the mother spoils her miracle child at the same time you can see she clearly doesn't see him as a person. More like a prize possession. And what's it going to be like to grow up only to discover your purpose for existing is to replace your sister? That's messed up for both kids. Again, not seen as a person but as a prize possession.
0:05: Abby's son is absolutely a spoiled rotten brat, and Abby compounds the problem by allowing this behavior. While I don't begrudge Abby for thinking her son is special, this doesn't give him license to behave like that. Everybody thinks their kid is special, but no kid is more or less special than any other kid.
2:10: It's absolutely stupid for her baby daddy's girlfriend to give her daughter the exact same name as his older daughter. OP has the right to express anger over this. This is something that could cause problems for the girls' psyche down the road.
My father used to say "You can teach your child with love, or you can let the world teach them without love." When the first kid grows up, his teachers and bosses won't care if he's a rainbow baby or not.

She wanted the same name because she is trying to replace the OTHER daughter with her own.
Another part about the second story is that when the older sister gets older and starts thinking about why her and her sister have the same name, she’ll probably think that her dad and step mom were trying to replace her, and in turn resent them and her little sister. And that’s not fair to her or her sister. Her dad and step mom though, that’s a different story.
No, in the REAL world, he will probably be beaten, knifed, or shot, for his behavior. If you don't teach him right NOW, you will be attending his funeral--or his parole hearing--in a few years.

In the very first story, both Abby and her son would have to go because her son is being very rude and just so disrespectful too. I get that he's Abby's miracle child, but don't let him get away with all of that bad behavior just because of that. It was actually the main protagonist baby's 1 year birthday, did they forget that? In the second story, things like this never turn out good because someone always seems to get jealous. I am 100% on the girlfriends side here because maybe that name has a very special meaning to her, and plus she took time coming up with the name too. I know plenty of families where their children share the same name, and that's okay. Much love my dear sweet friend!! Have a great day!! Stay safe!!
If the name was special to her, why didn’t she say so? The story says she just chose the name “because it was a pretty name”.
