Its 10:32 PM, Thursday night. On monday, around 7:30 pm, me and my friends did it. We averted the apocalypse. After a week of attempts and many wasted gobblegum, we did it. We completed flag step, and we all were hopeful, but we knew we had a low chance of completion. We went and did the pack step, and I was on keeper duty. My friends handled the tram boxes, and i shocked the keepers, and i remember saying “I got the keepers!” before exiting beast mode and the cutscene unveiling. It was my first easter egg, so naturally i was squealing in excitement. It was the best day of my life. Those runs caused me to learn shadows so that i could practice more, and i never got past the pap ritual solo, but god, Shadows used to be the map i never play because i dont know how to play it, but now it’s got a special place in my heart, as the map that caused me to squeal in joy for the first time due to a video game. Treyarch can truly create magical experiences, of which become tied to memories, and I hope the same experience i had with shadows, that of me completing my first easter egg and being, in the sense of being whelmed, way over, with joy. In addition, the experience has also bonded me with Jackie much more as i played as him. I hope treyarch learnt from their black ops 4 mistakes, and that Cold War Zombies is just as good, if not better, as Bo3. It is now 10:42 PM. This song will always remind me of the time i was trying desperately to suppress my squeals of joy as richtofen took the summoning key.
