@@JosefinaQB Then again, he was tired of store bought and wanted a DIY approach
@@errorx_x1063 Well...I wouldn't call Webweaver's "silk hole" store bought 😂 But Tek Knight seemed to know Webweaver very well and maybe he already tried it but got stuck or glued or something and isn't so fancy for that hole anymore
Tek figured it out when his attention wasn't on other things happening
He figured out at some point, but he kept going because he doesn’t care about consent.
The shot of Homelander storming the White House is going to go viral 😂
😒😢
This is gonna make the incels so mad and triggered😆 FYI, Homelander does it in the comic books.
Fun Fact, that portrait of the southern Confederate general at around the 9:28 mark is of General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who was a major slave trader mainly in Memphis before the war, and an expert calvary man during the Civil War -- infamous for his slaughter of surrendering Black Union troops at the Fort Pillow Massacre on April 12, 1864. He was later appointed as the first Grand Wizard of the KKK, so Tek Knight is a descendant of a literal slaver and clansman. This makes his comment to A-Train earlier even more detestable.
His presence there also alludes to how US chattel slavery evolved into the modern day prison industrial complex as well. Tek Knight is an owner of a number of privately funded prison complexes and is actively profiting off of incarcerating people (and many of these private prisons are known for their cruelty and maltreatment in the real world). This is 100% a concise reference to how slavery is still technically a thing that persists even to this day as a form of punishment -- as the 13th amendment of the US Constitution states: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
So his whole wealth and family is tied to slavery in one way or form generationally.
Edit: Sorry, wanted to rewrite it a bit with more info as I was tired last night, I live in Tokyo and waited all night to watch the show haha.
👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽
My gosh, thank you just when I couldn't hate my country more
Wouldn’t it be unironic?
@@Jerrys_world486 No. Tek Knight’s presence in a setting where he is the owner of privately funded prison complexes is ironic because it highlights the contrast between his public persona as a superhero and his private business ventures. As a superhero, Tek Knight is expected to uphold justice and protect the innocent, whereas as the owner of private prison complexes, he is profiting from the incarceration of individuals. This dichotomy creates an ironic situation, as Tek Knight’s actions as a superhero are meant to promote freedom and rehabilitation, while his business ventures are focused on profiting from confinement and punishment.

@@UncleForHire It's a more powerful message if he doesn't. Reminds me of that loser pharma bro Martin Skrelli when he bought that Wu-Tang Clan album.
While the novel is credited with being a step forward in the abolitionist movement, it's also a great example of a White person's stereotypical view of Black people. A modern White man proudly displaying the book is a great way of saying, "I'm technically against slavery, but still racist as heck."

You have a MUCH higher regard for Firecracker than she deserves. She is an analog for the poor the follow lock step on the right. She will 100% vote against her own best interests.
🎯🎯
THIS!!!!!! as someone who grew up around a lot of trailer trash, she embodies the mentality so well
Agreed. Firecracker is LOYAL to Homelander and his cause which was proven at the end of the episode. I don't think she will be swayed to join Starlighter and the rest of The Boys.
Totally agree. He completely misread Firecrackers characterization in this episode. There’s nothing to feel sorry for her for. It’s not that she didn’t like the “fancy food”, it’s that the fancy food is bad and it was always going to be bad, but people who are smart and truly powerful already know not to eat the food. Eating the food at a fancy cocktail party is a display of need which the uber wealthy consider themselves as “beyond”, so eating at these kind of events is a tell that you are of a lesser class even if you managed to gain access to the elites. Shows like Succession also touch on this topic. Anyway Firecracker not only ate the food, but she came up to Homelander, Sage & Nuemann and literally commented on it saying along the lines of “this party is so cool, they got free food”, to which Sage immediately put her in her place as she showed herself to be beneath their standard of elite decorum. This point was further hammered home when Sage ended up ironically being the one who after getting shot became so stupid that she was stuffing her face with food by the handful. Firecracker isnt realizing shit about a betrayal of the working class, she doesn’t believe herself to be on the wrong side of anything otherwise why tell HL that Starlight crashed the party? So no, she truly believes in Homelander but she just realized that she is just completely inadequate compared to her peers, so this breaks her delusion of superiority and she shows herself to be a class traitor as she literally trying to nuzzle at the teet of power by giving away her body to the cause, she is all bought in that’s why they end that scene on the heavy stars and stripes iconography. Crazy to think she is anything less than totally loyal to homelander.

Did anyone else notice that Frenchie is in a Vernon Corp. correctional facility? As in, Robert Vernon, AKA Tek Knight.
The scene with Sage would have made me suspicious if I was Victoria. Think about it, Victoria showed signs of not going along with Sage’s plan, and all of a sudden, Sage shifts into a manipulative speech about women being disempowered to ingratiate herself to Victoria. If someone looked me up and down and then started spouting off what they think I want to hear, I’m running for the hills.
If Sage turns out to just be a plain old misanthrope with her motivation truly being the grandma thing, I’m going to be disappointed in the writers. I really hope she’s playing a long game of destroying the structure from within.
That's exactly what she's doing with the deep, not outing a train, being on homelanders side when we know she's not
tbh both seem possible but i wouldn't consider the misanthrope road of being bad writing even though the other version of events seems more plausible, since there is no way she doesn't know a-train is the traitor but she still didn't expose him. i think with that level of intelligence and power you are bound to be somehow misanthropic and narcissistic but her growing up as a black woman and all that comes with that, combined with having revolutionary activist background in her family will push her to the right side.
That kid smiling at A-Train upon seeing him save some someone was wholesome!

“Oh Captain, My Captain” is a Walt Whitman poem about Abraham Lincoln. Dead Poets’ Society references it as well but I don’t think The Boys reference is about Dead Poets’ Society but the poem itself.

I think sage wants to destroy everything. This episode gave me the impression that she has a very nihilist vision of the world.
She reminds me of "owlman" in "Justice League: Crisis on two earths"
He always puts these videos up so quickly after the episode airs. It’s so impressive! They are great quality.
Naw the Zendaya safe word was crazzyyyy
One of the craziest episodes ever
Crazy ass Firecracker... damn.
Insane enough twist to start with (the Web Weaver hilarity).
Shame about Tek, but Jesus, Ashley. What a freak!
That Sage bit was a great funny surprise, too!
And that Butcher ending? Umph...
Best episode to date!
Not best bro
Sage is playing her own game.
Ultimate revenge against the Supes and Humans.
Either Sage kills all the Supes except herself by helping Butcher alter the virus.
Or it's schroched earth by killing all Supes and Humans, including herself.
The first shot of the episode is a pretty subtle reveal of Kessler because of the implied logic of edits. Kesslers hand touch Samirs face but the cut from side of the bed to head of the bed shows Butcher bending down, without enough time passing to have Kessler standing 6 feet away from the bed.
you know what they say, never meet your heroes.
I think that there is zero chance that firecracker will betray Homelander just like those low income people don’t betray the right
You mean the left?
I think we can all agree that A-Train enjoying seeing that kid smile when he genuinely saves a life means he is going to die before this season is over 😂🤣
What Butcher did to Sameer reminds me of what he did to Vogelbaum in the comics
