I think it's actually as good as Disney given the sources you have compared to Disney...Disney got the budget, props and greed while you have talent, passion and the heart to make it happen...great job man!
Great work as always. I'm getting a lot of Dune 2 vibes with how you've chosen to light the scenes. I'd be interested to see how you'd tackle a space scene, particularly as they have the 'big reveal' moments you seem to enjoy creating in these shorts.
@@RedCaio You must've been watching the show in an alternate universe. The fights were NOT awesome. Some were ok, some were really bad. And the plot and characters were some of the worse I've seen in a long while. I liked the actor who played "Smilo Ren", and the concept of the show can be really cool and intersting. But boy, the execution was just terrible and the character actions were just incredibly dumb
@@RedCaio Ha ha. The Acoshite was garbage, the saber fights were pathetic. You live in a dream world. Downvote to your hearts content, who really cares about that trivial bollocks.
The dark lighting is doing a lot for you, the results look great. My favorte shot is the reveal of your dace with the flashing light effect. Really well integrated
Making the shots darker does hide mistakes but it makes it 10x harder to read what's happening. I would recommend recreating an actual star wars scene where you match lighting, composition and colorgrading. Love your potential man!
Youre absolutely amazing man. Also, you look so much like the guy who played Andros in Power Rangers in Space. Maybe could be some inspiration for a future video.
Pretty cool! I would recommend you to check for nicer compositions, camera work and exposure values. Having technical cool vfx is a little step - in the end it has to serve the story! Also its quite easy to hide all the imperfections in darkness! I wanna see something in not night time ! You can do it😊
You might not have the budget but you got the heart It's clearly the type of vibe serious and epic that we wanted all these years but Disney only gave us goofy things Keep going young man you doing well ✨
Luved this. I would luv to learn this. I've been working with Blender for a few years now and have a ship I made that I've been wanting to use but do not know how.
Looks great, only thing that I would've liked to be better is the ground, maybe some photogrammetry models of rocks or something the ground just feels too flat.
Using Acolyte threat was funny because I'm already subscribed.😂😂 By the way, I'm in the process of creating a star wars short movie myself, but I may need your expertise if you're available?🤔
I had a question on how you make the clone armour separate from the body? I’ve been trying to get it to work but it always seems like the armours bends and is a part of their body
I'm not a pro by any means I just do some video editing here and there but I think it just needed some lut or a small hint of grainyness. I'm not even sure if I am making sense and also a very subtle box vignette. The saber spinning sound effect doesn't match the actual movement of it. But other than those minor things this came out really well.
This stuff is AMAZING! I'd love to try these out, but I've never used Blender before. Are there any good tutorials you would recommend to get me up to speed?
it is litterally amasing. the only thing not good enough for a movie is the live action stuff. it just looks off. like it doesnt belong in the shot with the vfx. it could definitly be used in a movie. if it is already hyped up like 30 min into the movie.
Bruh this is just insane. Speaking as a director, one day I just wanna throw money at you, give you a salary for like 2 years and complete freedom and marvel at what you'll come up with
VFX is not the only thing that disney/Lucas do good, its the shot composition and that's where you can improve too. Your shot was too shaky, dark and very unclear what happened. But Good learning experience for you. Next time try to recreate a shot from the film. That will be a good learning experience too :)
The effects are definitely impressive. Looks as good as the Prequels. But the cinematography needs work. The camera isn't telling a story. Largely, I think, because it's always either face-on, or full profile.
Seeing you match the lights in blender to the practical lights on you, was so satisfying
Thanks heaps Caleb!
PLEASEEEE WE NEED MORE TUTORIALSS

That's amazing man. I'm going to rewatch these videos to help me out with my own project one day 😁
I NEED A MOVIE OF THIS!!
*_Keeping the scene dark to avoid Mistakes just Makes it MORE PERFECT_* ...great work Man🎉
Great job, syncing the light flares from live footage to 3D definitely helped merge everything together!

I subscribed because of the Acolyte threat at the end. No need to do anything that extreme...
Downvoted because bashing the Acolyte is boring and old. Plus everyone knows that the saber fights were awesome
