    Lovely day out with Katie.
    Im always on the hunt for new fruit supplies for home cooking, theres nothing better.
    Try paying for a few raspberries in the shop, prefer to pick free n fresh, masserate them then shot them on top of a home made cheesecake, delicious.
    Another great video.

      Yes if was a great day out we really enjoyed it and we would go back again. You are right about the blackberries and any other fruit you can pick wild for free. In the shops they are very expensive. I usually enjoy picking blackberries and we go out every year as Katie makes all sorts with them but I was not keen this time on the bike in case they got all mushed up.... which they didn't. So Katie was right 😁

    Really enjoyed your video. Just taking up cycling again after many years. Just for your info. Gallows Close is located on the north western edge of Scarborough town centre and is so named as it was the site of a gallows through the Middle Ages and Early modern period.

      Thank you 😊 and thank you for the info about Gallows Close that's really interesting. I love history like that and how places get their names. We have a village close to where I live called Pity Me but no idea where it's name came from 🤔😁

    Really enjoyed the video guys. I’ve ridden a section of the Cinder Track many years ago but I’d like to ride the whole route, maybe this year when the weather picks up. There’s been a few negative comments on some cycling groups regarding the state of the gravel in places after it was supposedly repaired. Probably what you highlighted in the video. I much prefer Ravensclaw to Ravenscar 😂 Thanks for sharing the video John & Katie 👍

      Thank you very much for the comment and for taking the time to watch the video 😁 Katie was just saying we should maybe park at Ravenscar (or Ravensclaw 🤣) next time and ride down to Whitby.... Yes the gravel was a bit dodgy in places I was not over reacting when I said it grabbed my wheel. It was actually pretty scary as I suddenly just came to a halt 😮. On a bike with bigger wheels it might not be as bad but the surface certainly needs a bit more work on those parts

      @@JohnonaBike yeah, parking at Ravensclaw and setting off from there sounds like another good option, especially with that cafe there as well 😉👍

      Yes and the cafe is really good that cream tea was very nice 😁👍

    looked a fab day out...a folding bike seems a decent idea to put in the boot of my car and do these kind of rides, one to ponder for the summer :)

      It was a great day out helped by great weather. You should get a folding bike they are brilliant and not only easy to transport but also just great fun to ride..... very agile

      Do it you BOTH wont regret it 👍 We often get people commenting on them (in a good way) and asking us about them. I was surprised just how much fun they are and I don't use any cycling gear when I do ride them (apart from helmet) as I want it to be a completely different experience to the other bikes

    Great video,,will try that part of track when I'm there in August...the bit from rhb to ravenscar is very rough by the way ...

      @JohnonaBike  2 месяца назад

      Thank you for the kind comment 🙂 Its a great ride and thank you for the heads up on the rough section from Whitby we were going to do that at some point to but maybe I'll give it a miss as although the folding bikes are brilliant they are not really meant for rough terrain 😁

      Unfortunately it's not free parking at Scarborough but there are loads of parking spaces all along the sea front
