So I looked at probably 30 clips in prep with my trip this week ending with yours. Finally!!!! Someone showed the lockers, mentioned what to wear under the wet suit, showed the importance of sun glasses lanyard! I’m going to need a hat and sunglasses and no one shows that. Also the vest in the snorkel tank. Very important info to keep me off the bottom of it. Big thanks for showing all the details I was needing.

My husband and I spent the day at Discovery Cover 2 weeks ago. It was paradise!!! I actuallly liked the wet suit and wound up wearing all day while I was in the water. lol.

Outstanding info! Going next month and definitely doing the under water excursion! Question? Is it necessary to rent the cabanas or do they have plenty of places in the open to just chill?
Thanks so much and glad we were able to assist. Great question! It’s not necessary at all to rent the Cabanas unless you want a semi private area for you and your family. There are plenty of places in the open to relax. Seats and beach chairs are everywhere.

When we first got on RUclips 8 years ago we were using an iPad 😉….so honestly your phone is a great camera to use especially if your phone is not older than 3/4 years old.

Fantastic video! I am going for the first time in September and can't wait!!! A few questions: 1. Are you able to wear the water shoes everywhere, or did they make you take them off in certain areas? 2. Can you wear a life vest in the reef? I can swim fairly well, but not great at just floating along. I would love to just relax while snorkeling!

1.) Yes, you can wear the water shoes everywhere.
2.) Yes, you can wear a life vest in the reef area. Richard had one on in the reef area the entire time because he doesn’t know how to swim 😉.

Thanks for the video! Planning our first visit in a couple of weeks, was super helpful. What equipment did you use to film underwater? I noticed your husband also had his phone underwater too. Was there a special case for it or is it just waterproof? I have the iPhone 12 and want to get some nice underwater shots but I’m afraid I’ll damage the phone under water. Those little plastic underwater covers never work good for me either :/ thanks again!
Ohhhh exciting news! We hope your first visit is spectacular in a few weeks 😃. We actually have an underwater camera and the plastic case to go over your phone but ended up just using our iPhone 12 lol 😂. You won’t be able to charge your phone after it gets wet for safety reasons but your phone will work. Helpful tip download the app water eject before you go. Make sure you take a portable charger before you go. Charge it while you are eating or lounging around. Once you get in the water remember u won’t really be able to charge but use the water eject function several times to extract as much water when you get home. Rinse it off with some water (since the reef water is salt water) and then sit it in a cup of rice for 2 hours. Your phone won’t be damaged at all this is just a faster way to get any extra moisture out so you can charge your phone. That’s why we saved the reef for last because we knew we would spend awhile in there 😉

Aww thanks so much for watching🥰. Okay so since we live here in Orlando and are Florida residents we do get a 20% discount. We purchased our tickets 3 months ago so prices vary based upon the time of season it is. Off season being less expensive than busy season (holiday summer season). So we say all of that to say that people can pay different prices based upon when they go. Also, finally we purchased a multi park pass so what we paid was good for this resort along with about 3 or 4 others. We paid $500 for both multi park passes. The multi park passes get you into each park for free unlimited times for 2 weeks and gives you free parking at all the parks. Hopefully we answered your question. If you have anymore just let us know🤗
The wetsuits you can tell them the size or be measured for one. They have male and females working the area so if you don’t feel comfortable with a male you can always go to the female too 😉
We have this booked for September, it looks incredible. I can't wait to see my wife and sons reaction to it all. Can you tell me, what specific beers and wine are part of the all inclusive? Also, my wife isn't a strong swimmer at all, would it be safe to wear the wetsuit, with a life belt on the lazy river? New subscriber.👍
Oh wow so happy for y’all! Your family will definitely enjoy it and make fun long lasting memory ! We aren’t big drinkers but we tried to film the alcoholic beverages that some had ordered while we were passing by. You might check the website to see if it lists the brand names that they provide for free. You don’t have to be a strong swimmer on the lazy River (Rich isn’t a strong swimmer either 😉). They provide the wetsuits/life vests but also you have to have the floating devices (we saw them enforce it with a family that was refusing to use them)…since there are life guards every few feet we felt pretty darn safe strong swimmer and non swimmer here 😉.

Are all of the activities scheduled or just the ones you pay extra for?
Heeey great question. The only activity that was scheduled for us was the Dolphin Encounter. This was also something we paid extra for to do. The Reef swim and lazy river were all come and go as you please. The dining has assigned times on your lanyard but; the clerk told us we could go whenever we wanted 😉. I’d love to visit , I can’t swim though , do you think it’s still worth the trip ? Will activities be limited for someone like me ?
Heyyyy, Great Question! So Richard doesn’t know how to swim either. Not sure if you could tell in the video but he was hesitant to get in the water with the Dolphins due to that factor. The plus side is that if you want to swim with the dolphins they only do it in the shallow part where it is waist deep so if you can’t swim it won’t matter. As far as the lazy river and the snorkeling they provide you life vests that make you float the entire time (plus the added life guards that are every few feet away on posts watching). You technically don’t swim but more so drift down the slow winding river 😉. For us it was worth it even though 1 can swim and the other can’t. Hopefully we were able to help answer your question m. I can’t swim but I can tolerate the water. But I really want to go. I noticed the water goes to 8ft. Would the life vest support me?
Yes it will. Out of the two of us only 1 of us can swim and the other can’t if that helps ease your mind.😉
