Hey thanks for this. I’m about to install the Cooperman mod and new filter at the same time. Do you have any tips re the cooper man mod? Things you may have to remove before installing it? I have the link to the parts for the hoses/clips etc. cheers. Super handy video too. Appreciated.
It is definitely the most time consuming out of the fleet but even so, it doesn't take that much longer though having to use 2 different sockets, a wrench or screwdriver with end for socket, a screwdriver to unclip the factory pipe...getting prepared probably takes as long as the actual job itself. On the Megane it's literally 4 screws and on the Mini, you don't even need any tools. I believe the air box is a slightly different shape on the 1.1 and 1.2 but it still sits above the engine and the filter slots in the same way.
@@FuelPower , yes, the design of the air filter box on the 45 V6 results in 30 second filter changes, so that is probably the quickest of all. Not necessary to use any tools at all. Many other things are much more complicated, though!
I will be giving my thoughts on this filter next week as this was only installed a couple of days ago and I want to see what the difference is over the space of a week or so and make sure any feelings of performance increase isn't just because I have something new in the car and want to believe it is better haha! Initial impressions are good though!
Great video man! Far more complicated than on my Accent though! :P I've got to change mine soon, so maybe I'll do a video on it! Humdrum has coil-on-plug ignition as well! I just had to replace two the coils not long ago, actually... That hose clip you needed pliers for looks like it was a right pain in the backside....
Thanks Kody! Yes, it's the most challenging of the fleet to change...The Mini and Renault are easy. A video on Humdrum would be great! Coils were the bane of my life a few years ago 😂 The clip was a pain, it wasn't too bad though I have been told there are tools out there which make putting things like that back on easier.
@@FuelPower The one in Humdrum is pretty easy....it's right there at the top, so easy to get at. The cabin filter is a bit tricker, you need to take the glovebox out, but it's still pretty easy. I did that as part of one of my prior videos. Maybe one for you to do on Pogo at some point if you've not changed that in awhile! Most people forget the cabin filter exists....haha! Yeah....I just had to have two coils replaced on Humdrum not long ago. A lot of misfiring. :/
Very similar to the panel filter in my TwinAir which sort of clamshells into the airbox housing. Again it sits on top over the coils on plugs (as apposed to the HT could on the Mégane).
It's only taken me a year and a half to get round to installing one of these in the Panda 😂 if only I add a stripe it'll give me an extra 5 on top so that's 115hp! I call that a mighty big increase 😉
By the way, those clamps are horrible to use. I bought a set of special pliers which allow you to easily remove and replace the clamp without destroying it. They also work on spring clips on coolant hoses.
It wasn't the easiest to put back on at all. I was considering replacing it with a jubilee clip but managed to get it all back together before I went down that route. Feel free to dm me a link to the pliers you've bought, tools like that will always come in useful!
Good job my friend.
Thank you 👍

Hi! Do you plan to make a spark plugs change video as well?
Thanx a lot
Excellent work, Mr Bill! That looks a bit more complex than I imagined, are the 1.1 and 1.2 Pandas like this as well?

Great video thanks
I have the Italian bmc filter in mine , definitely noticed a difference and a slight increase in air sucking noise

pls can you tell me part number of this filter? thank you
This is a link to the air filter I used www.eurocarparts.com/air-filter

The Megane is definitely a lot more user friendly than the Panda. Less tools required to change the filter on it or the spark plugs for that matter.
Good man .... although I reckon it’s a Panda 110HP. That sticker adds 10 bhp I found when I had one on my ZR.

@@FuelPower haha deffo 😉
Where is fiat panda 100hp ac fuse. Will you please share fuse chart with me??
(From the Panda handbook) Fuse F49, 7.5a. Located behind a panel held in by 2 screws beside the steering wheel 👍

@@FuelPower I was thinking of doing that. Leave it with me, I'll see if I can find a link.
