    I’m still shocked how holding Brimstone in the Angry Seas start helps so much. You and Shadowbringer97 have the best runs for Leviathan.

    Didn't even know there was a burst finish for heat rush.

    This is agonizing. I keep spending 50 mins to reach leviathan just to get bodied by his first phase. This will take an eternity for me to beat

      Yeah I agree that it can be agonizing.
      I took several ultimate abilities with me just to maximize the amount of attempts per day but scoring was compromised.

      @@tal-ezs4981 I am getting real close, I can notice my progress. On my last attempt, I was at the very end but died to maelstrom because I jumped a second early and got caught in the hitbox. I have leviathan’s moveset completely memorized though, I can even consistently get past the dps check part. I feel like I will finally manage to do it in max 2 attempts. I would do it in my last attempt but as I said, I died unluckily due to an early dodge

      @@tal-ezs4981 DUDE GUESS WHAT! I finally managed to do it. I feel extremely proud of myself rn, all ultimaniac stages are completed as of now

    And after all of this, you still get A in Leviathan battle and B on stage 💀

    Brother, seriously, after the 10th precision melee counter misses, maybe it's time to use the ranged version instead?

      You’re right. Precision counter shot at that point would have been better.

    Does arcade mode allow you to skip the cutscene before the fight? Because I'm trying o do the no damage but every single time to see again the cutscene and the walk part where Clive talks to Wjlas is annoying

    • @tal-ezs4981
      @tal-ezs4981  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, there is a quality of life feature exclusive to arcade mode that turns off cutscenes. It doesn’t apply to all of them but you no longer have to pause and hold triangle to do the same thing.

    The more and more I play ultimaniac the more I think it was a really stupid choice to remove all checkpoints. Like mid boss checkpoints? Yeah, lose them. Limit our potions definitely. But the decision to make you restart the whole level every. Single. GodDAMN time you die was really, really, really and truly stupid. It doesn’t make the game any harder. It literally just makes it a grind. Why should I have to keep replaying the whole Aire of Hours that I’ve very clearly mastered with almost all S’s almost all the time, just to make it to the NEXT phase of Leviathan and immediately get one-shot because I’ve never seen that move before? I really love ultimaniac mode but the way they artificially lengthened the challenge time by adding in fucking permadeath is unforgivable. I shouldn’t have to spend 3 hours to ATTEMPT a boss 3 times that’s going to take WAY longer than 3 attempts to beat.

    This level is so painful. It makes me so mad at the devs too because one of the biggest complaints with ultimaniac is the eikon stages. Redoing 1 hour or more of a level on repeat just to get a shot at an Eikon fight (which you know you need to keep retrying until you memorize) is so extremely unfun and rage inducing. At least in the main game they had the excuse that the Eikon fights were part of the dungeons (even though they could have easily separated them into their own stages like Garuda). But this WAS 2 stages in the story. Why the fuck did they combine them? It sucks. I can’t imagine what possessed them to take such a brutally difficult battle and paste it onto the end of an hour long level that already had a very challenging boss battle. What a horrific design choice.

      I could see the leviathan fight being a separate stage like how Garuda was handled. Imo, they probably wanted to match the length of sagespire so each dlc had 1 Ultimaniac level.
