I do not own anything related to System of a Down, I just luv their music and want to make it sound even better.
Every time I hear this song it brings me right back to 2001 walking to highschool in the morning with my cd player. Those cold mornings walking to school with no responsibility and no bills to worry about lol.
No responsibility except getting to school, LOL
Born in 01 but was into this music at 06 when I discovered the magic of RUclips at school 😂, good times…
Same! Had my cd player til I was college around 2005/6 haha, most people had their ipods already then
I felt that.
This was my first introduction to metal at age 9 back in 2001 through my friend's much older siblings. I had no idea what kind of music this was until i was exposed again to metal in 7th grade by another older kid. Right after i saved a bunch of money and ordered random CDs off of a mail order catalogue ranging from bands such as Venom, Pantera, Sepultura, Cradle of Filth, Judas Priest, Type 0 Negative, Deicide etc and the rest is history. Lol
All the dislikes are from people who don’t eat seeds as a past time activity

It's probably cuz the mix sounds terrible.

This song still goes hard. Always gives me chills 🖤
I don't think there's any other group quite like System of a Down. I totally relate to your chills, the first time I ever heard them I was like 😱
This song will *always* go hard 🔥💪😎😤✊️✊️💯🤙🤙

Facts
This was the song that got me into System of a Down. I've played drums since I was six, and when I randomly heard this song come on the radio with the drums, I was like, "WHO IS THIS GROUP??". Googled the lyrics and became a fan. I still air-drum to this song.
I've heard this song last year in November. When it was "Eating seeds as a pastime activity" I fell in love immediatelly
My parents showed me this song on guitar hero😅 it was apparently my moms first concert she saw and my dad just likes this band😅 now he wants me to learn guitar since I already play violin and so I can play songs like this😅
Can't get enough of this song .
same
Same Lord Vader.
so like, can i join the empire? seems pretty chill
✈💋🤣🎶🎵🎶🎵 .
Same here this my favorite song they made.
When I was a kid this was the first band outside of kid friendly music I heard. I’m glad it was this band. My taste on music couldn’t be more strict thanks to this band. I love it.
Pap lepel.. hope you can translate
Mine was five finger death punch
Mine was a ton of rock bands cause of my dad, my favorites were Styx, Lynrd Skynrd, Talking Heads, Foreigner, Alestorm, and Franz Ferdinand. My mom (who I never knew liked rock music) actually showed me this band😅 apparently it was the first concert she saw.
This isn’t even music. It’s just pure art
yeah yeah yeah
Music is art intrinsically
I reminding my childhood because of this song....
Why tf do people say this as if all music isn’t art? Just sounds dumb
This ain't art, this is uncut dope
that opening voice and vocals gives me chills it's so good
Yes. The vocals are a big part of what makes it so good, and I love how they overdubbed that whisper in the second verse part where he is talking about firewood or something. It gives it an eerie atmosphere that is fantastic.
@@astronomer747 facts awesome one of my favorite all time bands
This entire album rocks from beginning to end. Soad best to ever do it.
This song will forever be part of my childhood. This song and band, man. Early 2000s Nostalgia! 😎
The irony is that Armenians contribute to the toxicity of Los Angeles. Sounds like System of a Down are talking about themselves.
LYRICS:
Conversion, software version 7.0
Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, our city
You, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder? Disorder
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep
Disorder, disorder, disorder
More wood for their fires, loud neighbors
Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city
You, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder? Disorder
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
Disorder, disorder, disorder
You, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder?
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep
Disorder, disorder, disorder

The 2000's were the best part of my life, despite what we went though on 9/11, it was a pretty damn good decade.
Fun fact (not so fun actually)
This album was released EXACTLY a week before 9/11
@@IbukiMiodaa24 yeah I remember they got a lot of flak for that too.
@@jebbroham1776 i don't understand why... how were they meant to know that the worst terror attack in US history would happen a week later? stupid people smh
Yeah it was shocking what your own government did that day.

Still going through now. Thats why I’m here
I haven’t heard this since like 05’. Guy at work just randomly has this banging as he walks past and the nostalgia just took over.
Mind you, I’m a hop hop head. This album has 0 skips
the bass on this version is so prominent, adds an extra layer of heavy to it

Being a kid experiencing this was golden
There will never exist a band even close to this level, ever again. ):
I was once walking through an abandoned asylum with my fiance playing a recording of the guitar tracks from a Stalker mod when she asks "is that toxicity?".
That is the story of how I found this song.
I was 25 when this came out. It still slaps

Dude...... rocked my face off.
whole song goes hard af
If we look at the title of the song, "Toxicity" can be interpreted as a toxic substance which, if polluted, can affect all organisms that live in its environment. However, the toxicity of this song seems to lead to human behavior which has the meaning of technological prowess in the field of media and the internet which cannot be separated from human life. deviant or bad human behavior. This deviant human behavior is considered a "poison" that unconsciously affects themselves, their community, their city, and even the world.
Désordre Désordre chanson pour Macron ....🤬
In their live in holland 2001 concert Serj gives this neat speech after science about how tech is making us work longer hours and how we lost purpose as humanity... Daron is playing the intro of Aerials as a transition which is a really profound way to link the two songs. One of my favourite moments as it goes deep into these struggles we face about making sense of our existence.
This and their then drug addictions within a city eager to feed them.
This song ROCKS!!

I remember playing rock band with a buddy of mine, and we happen to see this song, he hasn't heard it but I told him it was good.
As we got to the end, I said "this last part gets crazy, it'll be tricky"
And then we got obliterated.
Masterpiece.
SIMPLY GREAT
I dont know how to explain it really but the way the drums are played with those fills between the guitars, its like hes resetting or reloading the next sequence of the song. Does that make sense? The drummer for soad is always amazing how much he can switch it up and give the song exactly what it needs
YES I GET U!
