I’m with Stan on this whole thing. The whole reason why he wasn’t interested in going to college was because he assumed that he and Ford would sail around the world the moment they left school and grew upset and distant from his brother. Ford on the other hand was being a complete jerk, he had allowed himself to become so obsessed with everything that’s weird all because he was bullied and wasn’t welcome into society, his family on the other hand made sure he felt welcomed and cared for and loved and that is all a human needs in a family. However Ford allowed his science and his weirdness to get the better of him, completely disregarding his and Stan’s dream without even consulting his brother. Had he done so, his brother would have understood but also try and reassure him that he wasn’t different. Their parents also begin to disregard Stan without even encouraging him to try and find something that he was interested in and just focused on Ford. And in Stan’s defence he didn’t break the machine, he just swatted it in a usual way of doing it and it didn’t break, so of course it couldn’t have been him because he put it back and made sure that it was alright. Someone else (someone jealous) broke it and Stan got the blame. The family was so unfair to him that they demanded him not to return until he paid the million dollar money that the college would’ve paid them for, which is really impossible and unfair for him to do. He also had to endure so much just to do so, but because he wasn’t encouraged to find his own hobbies he wasn’t prepared for the world. As for Ford, he began to become really obsessed and negative towards F and his research all because he was bullied just like he did at Stan. And when he told Stan to take the Journal away that was the last straw for Stan, after everything he’s been through, Ford never considered his wellbeing or anything else, just his research and nothing more

Keep in mind that at this point in the story he'd already been tricked by Bill several times, to the point where he almost lost his eye.
He could also be making sure he wasn't a shapeshifter, considering the one we see was hatched from an egg it wouldn't be impossible for another one to come for him

3:24 the last thing Ford screamed before disappearing was Stanley, similar to how Bill screamed it too before getting erased. I'm so pissed that Ford still blamed Stanley for everything even after finally getting back to our dimension. The least Ford could've done was admit that he should've let Stanley destroy the journal. His plan was to trust his only brother with the book, and if destroying it was what he thought was best then that's that. At least then all of the destruction and weirdness that Ford was so afraid of would've been avoided.
Plus when Ford talked about warnings did he meant the ones that were written on the pages with the portal's activation? Those that were written in invisible ink? That only Ford knew about? Those warnings?
Ford berates Stan for reactivating the portal when literally the last thing Ford said was “DO SOMETHING! HELP ME!” in a panic. Who wouldn’t spend their life trying to turn it back after that was the last thing your brother told you?

I love how Ford checks his eyes. It's not explained, but if you remember Sock Opera, it's a fun sign of what's to come. It's even more impactful after reading Journal 3 and finding out Bill possessed the entire town to torment Ford.
Here we see how Stan and Ford fell apart due to their ego and selfishness and when Ford was truly lost, Bill was there to exploit his vulnerability. Then we see Dipper and Mabel go through the same thing with their own fear and selfishness and like last time Bill comes to exploit Mabels vulnerability. However unlike with Ford and Stan, Dipper and Mabel are able to reconcile and work together even during the apocalypse. Ford and Stan see this and are inspired by it, which leads them to reconcile and work together to destroy Bill once and for all. That’s why it’s fitting that it’s Ford and Stan who destroy Bill as it is them destroying their past demons and defeated their old enemy by working together and rejecting behind their ego and selfishness.
I love it how Dipper tries to get an answer to the "tattoo" as a spoiler-free short. Euhh, where? The bottom one?
Btw, Dipper's birthmark is a constellation.
I love how after going near insane, he still holds the goddamn college against Stanley.
Sad Part at 3:12
Damn, they showed Stan’s pupils contracting in the flashlight’s beam! The attention to detail is amazing.

Checking to see if he was Bill
Dammit I love this show
“I once had to chew my way out of a truck of a car” XD
no wonder he was hiding that tattoo now we know what happened
The lengths to which J. Jonah Jameson will go to uncover Spider-Man’s identity

The stealing eyes sentence makes sense now. If anyone has read the book of bill…. You know. 💀
Lmfao "I've got a mullet Stanford!"
And "WHO ARE YOU?! HAVE YOU COME TO STEAL MY EYES?!?!?!?!?
Well I could always count on you for a warm welcome
0:49 the computer on the left is… familiar to say the least
exactly the same one
Ford berates Stan for reactivating the portal when literally the last thing Ford said was “DO SOMETHING! HELP ME!” in a panic. Who wouldn’t spend their life trying to turn it back after that was the last thing your brother told you?
ughhh stanley with a mullet
also
"its okay, hes family! he wont bite."
or will he

@@bophi_true Or Bill because someone possessed by Bill have the cat eye pupil and maybe the term "steal my eyes" means being possessed because your eyes become Bill's eyes and the eyes are the only thing that is a hint that that is Bill
Yes.
The ending is killing me laughter.

I love how Ford checks his eyes. It's not explained, but if you remember Sock Opera, it's a fun sign of what's to come.
It's even more impactful after reading Journal 3 and finding out Bill possessed the entire town to torment Ford.
0:18 Who is it? Have you come to steal my eyes?!!!???
If he hadn't done that last punch Grunckle Ford Would be with us. Well Woudlve Always Been With us!
So 2 book are hidden in the same town while the last one is somewhere else in the world. That makes little sense.
Zenidik welcome to plot induced stupidity
But there is no edge to the earth...
WHOA FORD IS CASTIEL!!!
I’m glad Stanford threw his journal back to Stanley before the portal turned all the way off 3:22
"He's family he doesn't bite"
I love it how Dipper tries to get an answer to the "tattoo" as a spoiler-free short. I just showed mum as a little side thing for lols because she and I are going to marathon the first season tomorrow (she's never watched GF before and I'm hyped :D) and this is my point about how everything weaves together
Oh now i get it whenever i watch dipper's guide to the unexplained: stan's tattoo people in the comments cry
Oh, I never realised Ford’s foot actually pinned Stanley there for a good 2-3 seconds. I thought he just stumbled back and froze in shock. Oof.
"IVE GOT A MULLET"
Mullet is not that bad
He didn’t make a portal to another dimension, he made a worm hole
You left me behind, you jerk! It was supposed to be us forever, you ruined my life! 2:49
You ruined your own life! 2:54
Stanley ain't dumb, he knew how to operate the portal.
Well here is the thing they call Stanford o freak for having 6 fingers when almost all the kids have four fingers
You know the one who said both brothers were wronged forgot to add how if Stanley went to his dream school he might nit have gktten the chance to study anomalies as much as he wanted or at all, since you know fancy school comes with some restruction
HAVE YOU COME TO STEAL MY EYES?
A plot hole here is that stanford is okay with never seeing the book again but doesnt want it burned to preserve his research? that doesnt make sense?
also why didnt he just vopy everything down except for the gate operating instructions and then destroy the book? hiding it is too dangerous
They remind me so much of Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, not just in Ghostbusters but their falling out during Groundhog's Day too.
This is why I love Gravity Falls. They cleverly link up these random one time parts. If you don’t know, in Dippers Guide To The Unexplained episode 1, Dipper tries to see Grunkle Stan’s tattoo which has that exact shape in the exact spot he gets it at in here. Which is super clever how they link up some random thing with a part of the series.
i just learned that last week when i rewatched the series and i searched this up to see if anyone else realized
I kinda feel for stanley more tbh. He spent so many years trying to fix things and get his brother back only to have his twin say "F YOU FOR 30 YEARS AGO". I dunno. Not even thanks.
Stanford: “Who is it? Do you planned to steal my eyes!?”
*Even people like Ford go insane sometimes*
I want an adult series of this
The fight that happen for 40 years
Stan: you have been livening up in your fancy house in the woods
It's Really Is his Tattoo WOW! 3:05 you can see it clearly
