It's kind of both. It's a new line for Metrolink's trains that was built on an existing railroad line that previously was only used as a branch line and for storage.
+Captain T You don't need to be rude to them. He/She might have a son that loves trains. They probably feel heartbroken that you said that to them. Stop being an idiot to them and learn to have more consideration to them than yourself.
+Kinopanorama Widescreen Preservation Association Incorporated Gotta hate those delays. When I commented on this, it was set to open Dec. 28. Now I have no idea when it will open. Last I heard was on the 29th this month, then in March. I wouldn't be surprised if your claim is true and will open this summer.
Great video with some lovely shots. Metrolink started testing their new Tier 4 locomotive out there in early 2016, before the line opened. Did you ever catch the new locomotive for a later video?
Thank you! Metrolink hasn't received delivery of their new Tier 4 locomotives. The first one, is actually due into Los Angeles tomorrow morning. As the year progresses, they will be put into service.
Thank you.. I love Metrolink and Amtrak but we also need later trains to Riv/\mv because if people want to go to shows or events in LA,, they cannot use the train to go unless they stay overnight which most can't/ they stop too early and abandon us. Can you check into when the carts will be returned to Union Station.. elderly and family's need them to get their suitcases, strollers, car seats, picnic or other items plus meds, CPAPs, medical devices etc and are stuck for hours at the station having to haul everything to bathrooms and snack counters and back to the few seats available., When I go for TX Eagle, I end up at Union Station at least 4 to 7hrs early with my walker and all. We sit there for hrs until 8pm when we can finally get our seats set up then 2 more hrs til we are cattle called to our train and then have to try to get our stuff up to the right track and rushed onto trains and not lose ISs etc. The carts are vitally necessary and are keeping me from using both train companies and Metro workers told us they were not allowed to help us at 5>30 am and the other person had 2 kids, luggage, diaper bags, car seats, strollers etc. They said they were told you are not Greyhound and not ALLOWED to help and did at risk to their jobs. Would you post a picture of the March station and does it have restrooms/snackbar etc? thank you.
Anne Warren I'm not sure about the carts. Depending on who you ask at Union Station, they will tell you different things. If I were you, I would call Metrolink directly about that. 1-800 371-5465. You can also call Amtrak directly at Union Station at (213) 683-6875. As for the March AFB Station, I don't have any photos of that, but I hope to visit it very soon. Stay tuned!
Looking forward to riding the Perris Metrolink. Thanks for the this video! Fun watching.
It's so awesome that this line is almost done! Thanks for sharing this!
is it a new line or an existing one?
It's kind of both. It's a new line for Metrolink's trains that was built on an existing railroad line that previously was only used as a branch line and for storage.
This is the stub of the old abandoned main line between Los Angeles and San Diego.
I bet the cars arent happy when the train stoped at the middle of the track😂 anyway great video👌🏻
91 is a nice place to railfan. I live near Moreno Valley March. I saw 702 there and second time I have seen 862
At 6:22 a car responded to it! LOL!
SCrailfan 463 lmao
Great Video!
Thanks for this video. My son loves it!
Seriously

@@BeatTLFEntertainment I agree with you on that instead of calling people idiots how about a very offensive name for them like if they were a bully.
Amazing video! Unfortunately Mt. Vernon became a quiet zone just after Christmas, so no more horns. Oh well.
Thanks, and too bad about the crossing.
You're welcome! On top of that, most of the BNSF line is, if you haven't heard. Oh well. I agree, it is. One day someone will get hit.
The line will be opened to the public Dec. 28. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Perris Depot this Friday.
+Ryan D Try six months down the line in 2016.

Coming up in February 2016 to train service on the PVL Line Metrolink
+April's Dog Production February 2016 has come and is almost gone. Don't hold your breath. Perhaps in May.
Perhaps it will commence service around May 2016, but we won't hold our breath either.
this is cool
Any ideas on when the San Jacinto Local runs? I've been trying to catch it but I'm not sure if it runs on a set schedule or on an as needed basis

Metrolink should basically be know as Los Angeles Metro 'Express' Rail
Why the Metrolink Driving Slow
That's in the inland Empire area
How much is it from Moreno Valley to Union Station and does it require transfers?
+Anne Warren Prices aren't set yet, but it will be one train ride if you take the 91 Line to Union Station.
