Cinnamon has done a great breakdown.
I have lived all over the world. If you do not have money coming in monthly you might have a hard time. People with military pensions or decent pensions in general have an easier time relocating overseas.
Still it is not impossible with some planning.

I agree, but it seems they keep trying to sell life abroad, specifically to Black Americans. I see a number of Black Americans relocating with very little savings and attempting to live off youtube earnings. It's strange to me. I don't understand it, but to each their own.

I moved to Mexico in 2023 and my only regret is that I wish I did it sooner. I fell in love with my city when I first went there in 2016. During the pandemic I was there every other month, met a ton of people, built a community, and knew that I wanted to live there in the future. As a single black queer woman, it checked off all my boxes, it is very safe here.
One thing I'd mention is that please leave your American-isms at home, allow yourself to embrace the unknown and read up on the culture before you arrive.
Moving abroad won't automatically make everything better for you so please work on your issues before you arrive, your problems will still follow you, just in a different accent and currency lol. Same for being a shitty person, work on yourself please before you move!

Amazing. You did an amazing job, Cinnamon. Your sincerity in wanting to help others comes across loud and clear. I'm that mom who posted that she couldn't bear to leave her children and grandchildren behind but that doesn't mean I can't be better prepared, and your videos are exceedingly helpful with that. Blessings to you for being that person who wants to help. It is much appreciated. 🙂Take care.

Great summary! I got the Australian skilled worker visa 12 years ago. Just a clarification on the shortage/skilled worker visas... you often need an employer to sponsor you before you can apply for the visa, and the employer needs to show that they are having trouble finding a local to fill the job before they can sponsor you. You can't just get the visa and then go to the country and look for work.
Also, most of the time, your education needs to match your occupational experience. So if you have experience with no degree or your degree is in an unrelated subject, you might find it difficult to qualify. There could be exceptions to this, but that's what I've experienced.

Cinnamon, can I just begin by saying how your beauty POPPED on my screen when I clicked on this video. Also, as for adapting to a new culture, it doesn’t make sense that ppl would leave their country to go to another country and take with them the “mindset” and all the nonsense from their country to the new country. Yet, ppl do it all the time. I probably didn’t word that correctly but did that make sense? Thank you for sharing.

I would consider any of these places, especially Germany ❤, the Netherlands ❤, and Portugal (I've never been, but a friend made the expat leap there and loves it.) But my pick is Costa Rica!

I'm hoping to leave the US soon. I've done a lot of research but I haven't found any sources for single moms. Obviously moving with children is more complicated than moving without.

Hi Cinnamon, what was the impact of Portugal’s tax structure on your finances?

  • @PriestessAusetRaAmen

Great advice, as word from source is in the future a lot of folks are going to leave the US. The financial slavery of education, medicine, housing, food and just overall living expense. Folks are tired of being finacially enslaved while being paid the minimum. It's like the Marvin Gaye song: Makes me wanna holler. I am happy you did this video as the American media is all propaganda and make's it seem like living outside of the US is terrible like this is the best place on earth to live. There are massive changes coming both spiritually and physically.
