I'm going to disagree a bit. Some of these are comedians I've respected for years, and I've always thought they were funny. But a lot of them seem to have forgotten where they came from, and forgotten their history.
I have a personal saying: Every joke is halfway serious. For a lot of folks I think they really need to find out WHY they laughed before getting mad that no one else took the joke well. In fact making people explain their jokes is usually a really good exercise to finding out what sorta person they are.
There is an old adage that humor relies on truth. A joke has to contain enough real information for us to relate to in order for us to understand the punchline.
One changes their industry or changes with it, but it's the direction of that change that determines which. One's hurt feelings is not equal punishment to jobloss and jail. Lost followers because one cant help but joke on unrelatable discomforts? Whats the matter? That dude looks like a lady? Surely these people have real probelms. Lovely video
Given my families mental health history, sounding measured and reasonable is both a major achievement and not something that is destined to last in the long term. ;)
Absolutely correct! On top of all of that some of those comedians complaining couldn't tell a good joke if their lives depended on it..
