#Jeopardy #FinalJeopardy #Aroundtheworld
Quick note: the clip labelled as “Netherlands” is actually from Belgium!
That is because the Dutch version ran for three seasons in two countries. The final season was taped with only Belgian contestants.
US version: solve for 2+2. Also for some reason you must question your own answers.
Russian version: prove Fermat's theorem. Also you are monks.
Russian version isn't so hard really
Have you seen the original 60s version of the US show?
You literally have no fucking clue what you're talking about but go off sis
_Skipping all the ones that are basically the sane as the North American version..._
0:49 *Australia* - Sounds like something from a kid's show. Cute.
2:19 *Canada (Quebec)* - Sounds intense to a degree.
3:07 *Denmark (Version 1)* - Sounds like something I'd hear in a 2000's Nickelodeon game show.
3:41 *Denmark (Version 2)* - Nah. Version 1 is better.
4:12 *Finland* - Sounds like something I'd hear in a spy movie.
4:45 *France* - Cute take on the traditional North American Final Jeopardy theme.
5:22 *Netherlands* - Sounds like something I'd hear in a Mega Man game.
6:01 *Norway* - Sounds like something I'd hear in an early 1990's talk show.
6:33 *Poland (Old)* - Sounds like lounge music.
7:57 *Romania* - Sounds like an African Safari adventure theme mixed in with some technological advances. Adorable.
8:41 *Russia* - I don't really have a vibe towards this one.
9:29 *Sweden* - Uh, the host shouldn't be talking. Otherwise I don't have a vibe towards this one either.
9:55 *Turkey* - Like the intensity. Good for a Final Jeopardy theme... Not big with the constant camera angle changes, but do love that they have a visual timer.
10:36 *United Kingdom* - Host shouldn't be talking or giving hints, but the music has the same vibe as Frances.
Actually, as a Russian, I believe our version is the coolest. But I'm biased.
The 1994-2000 era of the russian version used a music track that was based off of the 1984 American version’s music except it had its own theme repeated four times.
@IHEART2GAME 2022 Only Steve Jones' episodes used that tune.
@@SigmaRho2922 The Своя игра set at the time also resembled the 1991-1996 set from the American version.
Good points. I dig the Swedish version but wish I could hear more of the music and less talking. Like the UK, he's also inserting a reminder to answer in the form of a question, I believe. The late Magnus Härenstam did the same thing on his version after reading the clue twice.
I love the Polish think music! 6:47
The UK version was very cheap. The winner got just 500 pounds
Due to IBA rules at the time.
@@andrewschroy6368 What was the limit? Wasn’t it like £6,000 or something?
@@petercolbeysgameshowmania7176 Actually if a champion wins 5 in a row on the uk version they augment their winnings to £3,000
@petercolbeysgameshowmania7176 IBA'S Limit at the time was £5,000. The uk $64,000 question had to get special permission to have a £6400 prize.
A new version recently debuted in the uk with Stephen Fry as host and better prize money, average win seems to be in the mid 4 figures.
Now they get up to £15,000!
At 5:22, that was actually the Belgian version.
I think I'm more surprised how many different versions DON'T use the US theme song.
I say this from the perspective of someone who has seen a lot of foreign versions of The Price is Right, and how so many of them use the TPiR theme song.
We've seen many think music for Jeopardy, but none of them can top the original US version. The worst think music is the second UK think music.
Speaking as a non American, I dont like that think music. I have no nostalgia for it and I find it annoying and unpleasant.
Stay Alive, Mr. Alex Trebek.
The Finnish get to type their answers?! So cool!
The Russian version does, as well.
Except in the US version we have Eddie Timanus he was a blind contestant he was given a keyboard to type
I'm a little surprised the US doesn't have that. There have been a couple of occasions where the player's hand writing has been so bad it's tough to read. Typing would solve that problem. (And of course the "emergency" sharpie and card on standby if there's a technical problem.)
UK theme sounds decent
We need an updated version
The Arabian version was first because it used the American version’s format and music.
Even Polish and
Azerbaijan had the same situation! Even German!
@@mrwtuber1217 yes
The Romanian version's 2nd player score made me laugh. Like what did you do to get that score (forget how the currency works in that country)?
Negative 1 million inflated Romanian lei was the score.
The score displays in that version look like what was used in a previous Turkish version, "Riziko!", which probably had the same currency exchange rate as Romania back then (most likely hundreds of thousands of Turkish lire [or liras] to the U.S. dollar).
I like these versions but nothing could compare maybe combining all the good part, maybe
Hi from Romania!
5:22 BOSS MUSIC
Va Banque! Still have same music amd the other but all s equal
There was an original track for... I believe it was a newer German version? It was a German version, I know that.
And it was good. Wish I could find it again.
German version is using original soundtrack of US Jeopardy
@@EdgarDang1708
These days, but 20 years ago, it was an original soundtrack.
Would anyone be able to translate the answers into English?
The dutch one says: “the giant snakes with - as opposed to boa’s - solely egg laying species”
@@bloemkoolendestreetgang450 What are Cobras?
The Romanian think music must have the sound font from Super Mario 64!
What about Estonia and Uzbekistan? They had jeopardy called Kuldvillak at the former and Antiqa Mantiq at the latter.
Um Kuldvillak
UK's is very peaceful. So is Riziko's
The Netherlands version is actually the Flemish Belgian version.
Thanks for letting me know. I can’t change the text inside the video, but I’ve corrected it in the description.
Poland is va banque
Azerbeidzjan is 61!
I don't really care for the Nordic shtick of starting the timer with the clue.
Let us hear the music, yes yes, we heard the clue, yes yes, we know we need to respond with a question - let me think!
The Uk and France ones sound like a parody much like the 90s turkish version did,
Also did anyone tell Chris Donat "shut up, dingus! you dont need to be talking during FJ"? apparently not. all the eps ive seen, he did that
The Arabic world and polish does take over the English one.
Va Banque
Oh! Azerbaijan too!
