Music: "Nane Tsoha" and "Loli Phabay"
In July 2006 we hold the first german-polish youth-media seminar, organized in cooperation of Solar Net International and Palace of Youth in Katowice. Our group was part of the 7th International Meeting of Youth "Europe of Peace".
We met there a group of girls from Slovakia who participated in the event. They organized a slovakian-polish Dance Workshop. The girls are students of Renata Madaraszova school of arts from Senec near Bratislava.
We have spontaneously decided to make a videoclip of the dancing girls. They do a gypsy dance.
We did it with one cheap photo camera and edited it very quickly by synchronizing 4 or 5 tracks and then just choosing sequences we wanted to keep.
Next year they want to establish kind of applied internet media subject in their school so I hope we are going to see and hear more from them - Развлечения
I remembered this video from 14 years ago, when I used to watch it a lot. It took me a long time to find it again. You should see the smile on my face now.
Yes!!! Same story - I searched for a long time because I didn’t save it right away. I look and also only with a smile. what great guys they are. love this short video. just pure joy
the girls are from the Slovakia :)
those girls are Slovakian. The go to a dancing school. They dance a lot of different styles. They dance samba, tango, modern dances, they even do some ballet stuff - and they also dance what they think is Gypsy. They do it out of respect and appreciation. Relax, lean back, enjoy and show some appreciation. Thanks.
Oh this is lovely :) It's nice to see people who still practice wonderful traditional dances :)
One of my favorite videos! You girls are wonderful dancers! Hope you're still dancing! Thanks so much for sharing this video.
The original old traditional gypsy dances involved dancing with the feet only. Meaning the feet and legs moved around and carried the body, but the body from the knees up remained straight and motionless.
Isn't that the Irish dance?
Yanjiachuan Fu You see the type throughout europe, mostly due to Celtic roots, they colonized a big part of the continent. Since we're talking pre-roman times, it's possible that the Roma people over the centuries we're influenced as well.
Kames motos ke naj rom kaj le parne 😄 sajte si rom
The songs are from the original movie "Gypsies are found near heaven" the love story of Rada and Zobar
honestly this is my first time of seeing the dance, i can feel the expression of joy from the bottom of them.. they really submerged in the atmosphere of dance... going to studying this dance
this is from Queen from the Gypsies. even though they are not Roma people they still did a good job :)
This was very nice!!!!!
Really making one happy who sees this!
Here we experience that family of man is really family! Your faces light up with ydancing on this music, the love for Gypsy dance radiates from you!
Fine happy dancing!
I am proud of inter- culture: enjoy and learn from our family who has so many engaging life stories through centuries.
Here we meet open and enthusiastic Polish dancers enjoying Gypsy dance!
Thank you for dancing and thank you for posting the video!!!!
Hey Mädchen ! Klasse , bravo , super ! Ich bekomme eine Gänsehautentzündung wenn ich euch tanzen sehe und singen höre!!!!!

Beautiful dancing. It looked like the dancers had a lot of fun. It reminds me that life is meant to be celebrated! Thank you for sharing!
thank you, I found a lot of interesting clips in you favorites channel. I liked the Romano Hip Hop very much ;D
You can find everything in the comments below. Please search for it and tell us again. I should have put the name of the performer in the info box in the first case.
@Pearly403
I opened it again because of people want to write it. And I do appreciate it as well. This video was made with a small photo camera and got a lot of attention anyway. If I ever would be in a position to report about any events showing Gypsy culture I would always do.
Thank you for your comment. That's what I think too.
@Farieclau
I still don't understand it quite. The girls were also dancing Spanish flamenco dances, Polish, German and what not dances. They danced something their teachers believed to be a Gypsy dance to show appreciation and respect for Gypsy culture. It's so weird when the Gypsy people in this forum hate them for that. It's a complete misunderstanding. Maybe it's because they're too much used to people disliking their ways so that they just can't believe the true intentions of the show.
láska na prvý pohľad a na prvý pohľad. Dlhé roky s úsmevom pozerám a počúvam. bravo, dievcata
@hikoyuge
the girls come to Katowice / Poland for a Youth Festival. They are from Slovakia. They have a modern dance school in their city. They dance also all the usual "folk" dances. In this case the Gypsy dance. We were the German group at this festival. We did this recording using two small photo cameras. We edited it together with the girls the same evening.
perfektné-zladenie melodie s tancom,vidieť maximálnu radosť,gratulujem a dakujem!!!
Music from movie "Satra" - 1976, composed by the Romanian composer Eugeniu Doga.
era thank you. The music is beautiful.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugen_Doga
The Blues Lab yes, the English title of the movie is "Queen of the Gypsies". In Romanian it was "Satra" or "Gipsy Camp". The ladies dancing in the video clip here are not Gipsy, but the dance is beautiful, nevertheless. Thank you!
Loli phabay is one of my favorites gypsy songs!!!
This sounds so interesting. Please stay in touch. Maybe you can tell us more about your project :) I love to read those Comments & Responses and hear to the music from the clip.
I watched this a long time ago.
Please read the description on the right side :)
This is so lovely!! They did an amazing job!! I like the music. ^_^
Love this vid. keeps me me strong. I'm a gypsy, so I understand. Thanks 4 posting,
I find this a superb manifestation of feminine charm. Really enjoyable.
I really love this! The song is great and the girls dancing are so cute!
They aré very pretty And dance very good love their clothes
This is beautifully performed and produced. Very enjoyable, and I am not really a huge fan of dance. Truly a new experience for me.
Gratulujem tanečnej skupine SETAS zo Senca / slovensko/ ku tomuto velmi vydarenému vystúpeniu.SUPER!!!
you find it in the previous comments
the girls are Slovaks, so probably all of them half Gypsy ;D
English :
I have no sweater, I have no blouse, Daddy buy them for me
If i get married my husband will buy
Daddy buy me earings of gold, if you don't buy them i will not remian a maiden for long,
I went to a garden and picked a flower, put it in my hair for you to desire my heart
I have no sweater, I have no blouse, daddy buy them if i get married my husband will buy
Been watching the overly dramatized gypsy shows on tlc too much so now you have a stereotype of them being loud, spoiled and gold diggers, huh? Yeah I remind you to not believe everything you see on t.v., you'll look like less of a fool doing so
ahh me and my love like to watch this video all the time, thanks! you are great....
I love it!!!!! Thanks! Love, peace, dance and smiles!!!
thank you, now we need the translation :) Please tell us more about this kind of music. And just in case you sing it too and visit Germany one day - I would love to be there and to film it :)
GYPSY DANS,,,,YOU FIND IT IN HUNGARY,ROMANIA,,BULGARIA,,,NICE MUSIC,,,
I like to dance right now behind my computer!! nice, energetic rhythm, lyrics and dance!
fantasticna koreografija i raspevana mladost u zivopisnim nosnjama docarava briljantno fragmente iz filma CIGANI LETE U NEBO. Pozdrav!
I do not understand. If some Gypsy people would dance Polka - then I would be very pleased that my Polish Folk Culture is popular. But you keep on ranting that they are not Gypsies. You should be happy that people respect and like your culture.
I've hear so many Gypsies (also among those comments) lamenting about the world hating and despising them. But as soon as somebody try to price the Gypsy culture - many of you start to complain about it.
Love it! This goes back to my Polish roots!
@sulfunn
they are Slovakian girls :)
thank you so much, luludi, I never knew the names of the songs. Please give us the lyrics too.
I searched youtube for those songs and found a lot of versions of them. That's so great :)
Wtf?

@pirosjumbo
thank you, this is how I understand it too :)
I love nane tsokha and loli phabay ❤ reminds me of the movie the dance was well done as well !
@pechenikov
thank you man, that's a good clean point :)
Lindas demais! Parabéns a todas.
¿Easy Languages?
read some comments back, they're all there
thank you for the info
Why in the background is advertisement of polish bank?
You should be proud and happy that those girls appreciate and respect the "Gypsy" culture. I don't know if you realize how much hatred and contempt there is out there. I should show you all the hate-mails I had to delete. So why do you rant against people who like and respect you culture?
Thank you Cierna,
Peace and enlightenment be with you all ways
Beautiful music, beautiful dance, and beautiful girls.....
LOVE this!!!! girls, you are AWESOME!!!!!
This is spectacular! The ladies are very beautifull, the video is very well done and I think the footwork is so very cool! I want to compliment you on the classy dresses, they highlight the choreography very well. This is certainly one of my favourite dance videos. Does anyone know the meaning/history of the song?
I just loved it, not because they were good, but because they tried to do their best, and had fun. To see it danced well, see the Russian film "gypsy camp goes to the sky" (Ciganytabor megy az egbe) - around 1975
I don't know for the first one, but the second one is called Andro Verka. If you want, see for Ljiljana Buttler and Mostar Sevdah Reunion's version, it's awesome.
wow this has been on youtube since i was born. XD
Thank you for putting this together. Nice job and thanks to the dancers and musicians. Have you followed up as you said you might?
I've said it before and I'll say it again...... beautifull songs!
Thank you for this video. I love it. I like the music, dance, colors and the girls having fun. Could anyone please tell me what culture is this?
this song is from a movie queen of gypsies story written by maxi Gorgy Soviet union -Tабор уходит в небо, lit Love story between Rada and horse thief Zobar 1892
the second song is loli phabay hop hop - the red Apple
the song was made popular by a movie about gypsi life,i love the movie, its about love and their life style.
The name of the second song is Loli Phabay, red apple. Language is Romanesh.
multumim pentru postare
LOVE THIS SONG!!!
I am seeing in 2022😁
very nice and cool, and very nice song also
@lusineh7 There are two songs: 0:00 - Nane cocha, 1:27 Andro verdan drukos nane
The song Nane Coha is a variation of soundtrack from
Gipsies' Camp Goes To Sky, an interesting russian movie, original title
Табор уходит в небо.
based on the story "Makar Chudra" by Maksim Gor'kii.
All other songs used in this film are also exceptionally good ( imho ) :-)
wow i had my mouth opened the hole video nice
hey Polski Friend, good music
greetings From Hungary :)
ausserdem mag ich ihre musik und ihren tanz ;)
I think this is pretty good quality :)
amazing dance!
well done!
beautiful song :)) and very good dancers:))
Awesome! Makes me want to dance. :)
the dance is by non-roma women, but they are enjoying the beautiful music of the roma people. It is a compliment to the old tradition.
Lindas!! Amei...
adorei...parabéns!!!
Oh, it's in poland. I can see the "PKO Bank Polski" sign ;)
Weszłam tu bo przebieram się za cygankę na karnawałową imprezę i chciałam wejść w "nastrój", ale to wideo i ta muzyka są tak świetne że się uzależniłam! *O*
The songs are both by Rada the first one is Nana Toha and the second one is loli phabay
very coloful and fun looking.....thanks girls
Обаятельные красавицы!!!!!!! :)
@sulfunn Очень зажигательно, трогательно - не думала что это исполнение танцев девушками не цыганской внешности и национальности так тронет меня.Спасибо молодцы! Цыганские песни и танцы не оставляют равнодушными никого.
Hi Petra, you found this at least :D
Beautiful!
Very nice indeed, even if the lassies may not be gypsies as a few persons have pointed out. Is that really a matter of essential importance? Does anyone know which group made the soundtrack?
love the voice
lo mejor, full, desde bogota , colombia. suramerica,
@ikeikel Right, the Bratsch version is quite agreeable as well, though I must admit I like the female singers and the cimbalom backing
great tunes!
Outstanding performance, and I really think that you all are talented. Now, that being said; as soon as you all get into the Gypsy groove, why do I get flashbacks of Borat?
Mostly because both Kazakhs and Gypsies come from Central Asia/Indian roots
It is definitely gadje influenced, but still great and I loved it! Nais tuke.
love this...!!!!!!!!!
nice film and beautiful girls!
