    I always hated weaving in the yarn, I would create gorgeous projects, but the second I had to weave in the tail string. Somehow I would ruin it, this helped a lot thank you 💛

    I NEEDED this video. I tend to overthink the weaving because I'm always so worried about my work becoming undone with use and being worn, so this will be a great help!

    This is extremely helpful, thank you! I especially love the splitting of the thread technique. I've been tying a knot at the end of my thread and hoping it works as an anchor as I weave the excess through my stitches using my crochet hook. Definitely getting one of those needles today from the craft store. Again, thank you so much for this knowledge!

      @@staceysholter5677 I actually did end up finishing all the ends XD I'm working on a different blanket now that would have at least 2160 ends to weave in but I weave them into the stitches as I change yarn so I won't have to actually weave in all those ends. Just about 300 ends but it's nothing a tapestry needle won't make quick work of XD

    Thank you so much for this, my knots were coming undone on all the blankets I've done, and I've done many. I was beginning to feel like giving up on crochet completely, and now I don't have to.

      Right over left, left over right.
      You were probably tying granny knots instead of square knots. Square knots get tighter over time, granny knots come loose when you pull on them.

    Hi! Came back to say after watching your video I’ve found it SO MUCH easier to weave in my ends. I was always so worried on whether I was doing it right, overthinking it would come undone, not doing it very well & could kinda see it and so much more. Your video makes it make sense, perfectly! Now I have a system. I’ve finished a beautiful modern chevron baby blanket and sewing in the ends has been a breeze. Thank you thank you!!

    What you have show is what I have been doing for years now. But I have a 3rd way as well. If I am working a project in multiple colors.....say doing bobbin work.....and don't have enough stitches to weave an end in this way, I actually begin working up and down with a stitch or two. This way, I have woven in the end without having to go under a different color. I do a lot of DC, so I weave up and back down in the actual stitch. If I have a second stitch then I use that one as you have used your second row.

  • @savannahherron6771
    @savannahherron6771 5 месяцев назад

    I make crochet tops and use a split, weave, tie, weave, tie again method. I worry about them coming undone without knots since they're going to be stretched and pulled on to be worn. Valid concern? Or am I doing too much 😅

  • @jogianna

    You know what worked for me? I'm using a crochet needle and I inserted it at the end point I wanted to thread the extra thread through, then worked my way through the tunnel from there. Then, I picked up/ hooked the loose thread and pulled it back. Similar thing on the other side.
