She had contacted other women who did currently or had worked there, they all blew her off. She apparently randomly selected the time period of said harassment when filing the suit.
I was on vacation, provable by receipts etc, with my wife. Had to hire a lawyer as it was civil & that's a lot of money. Her attorneys set up a deposition. Lawyers blah blah bills went thru potentials cheaper to make it go away to throw couple grand her way and be done with it. Missed time alone off work cost me more, didn't trust Santa Monica courts (worked for attorney services, observed many proceedings as witness etc). Simp? Maybe. I'd call it perhaps gentleman above has experienced it? Dunno. Maybe got something to lose.
Wound up carrying separate high umbrella insurance coverage etc against settlements & lawyer retainers. Wife's dead now, nothing to lose salary property whatever so meh different times.
Men can't "Turn it off". The best we can do it not act on our impulses. It's simply how we're made.

I doubt there are many guys out there wanting to sniff women's chairs, but awkward work environments exist. He just took it to an absurdly funny extreme.

Patrice would have some hilarious things to say about the absurd cancel culture prevalent these days, and he’d give -2 shits about what people thought about his material, just like he did then. He was constantly getting in trouble or having people mad at him, and he just doubled, tripled, and quadruped down on his points instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the critics points as valid. On another note, I truly think women have zero idea what its like to be a guy. If there is an attractive women in your presence, its impossible to ignore. In work situations, generally it just makes us uncomfortable to be around them, since you cant say anything even referencing her appearance, or there’s a chance of getting fired. His grizzly bear analogy is somewhat accurate, our instincts are just different than females. Women’s instincts want a strong partner to raise your offspring and care for them, Males want to reproduce as much as possible.It makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint, as both instincts are the best ways to ensure your DNA is passed to future generations for each sex. One thing ill add is that obviously we don’t all feel it to the extent where we have the urge to be creeps who go around wanting to sniff chairs and comment on titty meat.

Honestly Women in the office and HR are terrifying. Men can lose a career for looking at a lady the wrong way. AND the complaint is about how she felt, Not the intent. I could say good morning you are looking good today! It's just a nice compliment but if 'she' feels threatened for what ever reason it becomes an HR issue. The threat dynamic is different.

It makes sense. Why are there shirts that expose the cleavage? What purpose do they have? Look at men's sleeveless shirts and compare. Now imagine a dude had a shirt with a super deep cut and you see the outline of his pecs and his chest hair. If a dude showed up to work like that he would be called by the HR and told to change clothes. But for women, it's ok. Even worse, their chest is sexualized, men's chest isn't.
