Fat Dog verbinden rohe, verzerrte Rock'n'Roll-Energie mit futuristischen Synthie-Sounds und treibenden Backbeats. Wie viele andere Bands aus der pulsierenden Londoner Musikszene haben sich Fat Dog ihre Sporen im ehrwürdigen Club "The Windmill" verdient.
Fat Dog wurden während der Corona-Lockdowns gegründet und gelten dank ihrer schweißtreibenden Gigs seit einiger Zeit als Geheimtipp in der britischen Hauptstadt. Die Band besteht aus Joe (Leadgitarre und Gesang), Jazz (Gesang und Keyboards), Will (Synthesizer), Johnny (Schlagzeug) und Ben (Bass), gelegentlich werden sie begleitet von einem Saxophonisten namens Morgan.
Was den individuellen Geschmack der Bandmitglieder angeht, gibt es laut dem Musikmagazin "Hard Of Hearing" "kaum einen Quadratzentimeter Gemeinsamkeit. Manche bevorzugen Dream-Pop- und Karaoke-Standards, andere wiederum mongolischen Folklore-Gesang."
Die Energie, mit der das Quintett ihr Publikum in kleinen Clubs ebenso wie in großen Hallen zum Ausrasten bringt, ist selten. Wer also Punk der Stunde erleben will, der sollte sich die Band baldmöglich ansehen.

that feeling, when you were a kiddo and got some frikkin awesome toy or something... naa mean? well, that was the exact feeling when I was driving back home from a job, roasting in my car... and then BAM! this band shot out of the radio, never heard it before and my lizzard brain immediately recognised it as dangerously fine music. WHACKO! anyway, Running was the song screaming out of some car somewhere in Slovakia today on full blast :) I salute this band!
