Yes. And my understanding is, it only works on a limited number of newer (and very expensive) Android phones. I am not about to buy a $600 phone so I can register a $300 phone. How stupid. Interestingly, DJI drones can use a long list of supported android and iPhones. But not the camera. They are shooting themselves in the foot.

Voice control don't you just love it. Always amuses me how when it doesn't work we all start shouting. For a minute I thought it had a Scots accent filter enabled 😂
I wish I had seen that earlier. Why are some people OK to give away their data so easily? On the one hand you have all the GDPR clown world talking about how much we care and on the other hand you have a product admitted in the EU market asking you for sensible data that is exported god knows where and to what end.

See the above comments. What they don't tell you is, the Mimo app only works on a few very expensive phones. If you dig deep enough, DJI publishes a list of them on their web site.
Camera is blocked and it forces me to install an ap that is not listed on google and when clicked prompts the red screen for malware. This kind of abuse is not acceptable.

Hi , i try to activate my DJI osmo action camera , when " i tap here to connect to device " on the left , i see just for the connection help for the Osmo pocket activation and not for the DJI osmo action camera , why , can you please help me for that ? it´s like i have my DJI osmo action camera that i can´t use it and make some video´s with it , I would be very grateful to you

well... that really ticked me off... didn't have memory card handy so went to store.... got card.. put card in camera.. OH THE FREAKING CAMERA IS BRICKED>>>>>> ooooo i am pissed...... gotta go back home download a QR reader wtf used QR codes anymore... it was a flop to begin with.. then i gotta download some chinese spyware..... was real close to returning, but didn't wanna go through the hassle of online returns and snailmail. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DJI anything again... lol

I got this thing, it works ok... but i will never buy another dji product because of that. well works ok is a.... as long as it is not 40 degrees and raining ... else it is hell to get the touch screen to work also... It's my fault for cheaping out and trying to save a few bucks.
@@RP4UXO not to mention, It leaked out of the box... first time i used it in water... POOF... door on the side leaks. seawater too, so I had to take it apart and clean it. and replace a couple poppy seed size capacitors... luckily i do this as a part time money maker so I got a scope and hot air station.
The mimo app doesn't work on older android phones so forget about DJI.

I have to register if I only activate the camera and then uninstall the application? I need to borrow a phone for activation.
So it can be done even without the QR code right?

Sorry to hear your having issues. It’s usually the GoPro guys who have all the issues.
