Great review Matt. I love your videos, so down to earth and straight up no bull and no fuss. I like that your don’t shy away from sharing your honest opinion with us which is a huge plus. I will definitely be purchasing the 350 for my 284 liter planted tank.

Really good, clear video. You should definitely do more product reviews. You've just got one of those voices that people want to listen to, you speak clearly, explain properly (unlike others I've seen) Really very well done 👏 thankyou 🙏👍
Loving the videos Matt! Keep it up! Video idea - I think it would be a great idea for you and MD to do a collab on your channel... maybe, you could both scape a similar tank (stock it too maybe) and see whos turns out better? And then discuss what you like about them or if there's anything you'd change etc if there's something you didnt like. You can maybe have a theme too like create an african style tank, hilllstream or amazon river, etc. I think you'd both have a blast doing something like that 😊
First video i have watched of yours. Quality review, no nonsense and straight to the point. Nice product also 👌 subscribed to the channel.. keep it going 🙌🙌🙌
Does look pretty neat from Oase! I've been running an All Pond Solutions skimmer for a while now and it too works well for the money. Even better is you can reverse the Venturi bit, jam an airline connector in the very end and use the outflow to fire water thru your tropia bio co2 reactor tube thing for max dissolvage) Works a treat.
I don't understand how you only have such a little subscribercount in comparisson to MD. I think a lot more of his viewers should watch your great content.
@@FishShopMatt True, but maybe it's better like this. Like now you'r able to see almost every comment and react to it and that's really nice. I think we have already established a great community.
Damn you Fish Shop Matt I was quite happy with my Ehime Skim 350 until I saw your review! lol Great little review and what I like about the Oase over the Ehime is the way you can just pull out the top with the sponge to clean as with the Ehime you need to unclip the section with the sponge in. No hardship, but Oase looks easier/quicker to do.
This surface skimmer works so well I managed to skim my tank without even buying it. Never mind the fact that I got so into watching this video I overfilled my tank all over my desk...
Great little unit. I really get the impression it's been designed by a fish keeper: not a bunch of marketing men, the function is so ideal - no gimmicks - just effective (The addition of the little pair of tweezers is a nice touch: a useful item - not a gimmick, I think). If I were in the market I would certainly buy one... but I run homemade units that simply plug into my filter outlets and exactly copy the function of the Aquario Neo Skimmer. I prefer the concept of this system: no shrimplets get trapped in any way - surface scum, leaf fragments, shrimplets, etc, are simply sucked down and blown into the water column, where it circulates and gets drawn into my filter inlet (which is covered by a filter foam block: acting as a shrimp/fry guard and a fantastic pre-filter element). Long-gone are my hours spent combing through the sludge after filter maintenance - trying to find and save the microscopic babies...
Great vid Matt I was wondering if you could help some of us new guys in the hobby by making a video about the quarantine process for getting new fish how much time and what meds if any that someone should use thanks
Another great video Matt! I’d love to see more unboxings in the future! This is going to be perfect given I’m growing out a Pearlweed carpet! It’s always so tedious getting each and every bit!
You do great reviews. Your accent is delightful. Well done. May I suggest running this surface skimmer on your 8 foot tank. It will remove the surface scum I can see on it, and increase the Kessil shimmer effect. GREAT review.
Your tip about measuring cup for feeding fish is invaluable am going to use it for young lad in disability home to be able to feed fish when I set up their tank thank you so much
Informative yet again, the new MD tank is looking great too. Keep up the great work. Ive just won the maidenhead aquatics gallery competition for june 🐠
Thanks for the video; I just bought one and your video gives me good info about different ways to use it! . One point about pronunciation, if you care, - Oase is German for oasis and it's pronounced like "oh" "ah" "zuh" [I've noticed that even the British Oase representatives say "oazee". But great video; thanks!
Matt another great review, my only complaint is that I would rather see magnets then suction cups. Like the new Sicci Pro internal filter. Thank you from NYC
Thank you! ❤️🐠 I totally agree the issue with magnets is it normally it bumps the price up massively. I've seen products double in price just because of a magnet holder included.
Great product. Needs an output options other than down. Also needs to be completely black or white or blue which are common backgrounds to blend in with
For those of you worried about your shrimp and fry. Try a set of Lilly pipes. When adjusted correctly they create a vacuum or vortex, a mini tornado pulling down surface scum. Hence the reason their shaped like that 🤔.
Another banger. I love the casual approach! I've wondered about skimmers; never used one. Is it something that you'd run constantly or just as needed? Would it chew up my water lettuce and salvinia? Duck weed grows so fast....
Wonder if Oase have anything on the drawing board to sort of combine these features passively (non powered) for use on the inlet to a Biomaster? Neat little unit... Think I need one!

I would really like a video on the species you put in the tanks you and MD do. I would like to see that natural behavior you can’t get from a pet store stock tank. Why do those species go together? Why do some small fish make other fish more comfortable? What are you worried about and going to have to keep an eye on?
Just a little auto focus tip I learned recently….. if it doesn’t want to focus on a close up, just slightly move it back a bit….. works on my cannon dslr might work for you too…. Cute little filter. I don’t get much surface scum. Could it be used as a nano filter? 🇦🇺❤️

Could you slow the flow with filer floss in with or in place of the sponge? Maybe in the guard. Looking for a small skimmer for my 38L. Hitchhiking duckweed...
That is really neat. Looking for something from what I could see in the video physically that size but much lower flow. That is 350 ltr so about 95 gal I need about 55 ltr so about 15 gal. I only have two 12 gal cubes left. (2 of my last remaining Betta from my last ever breeding, about 15 Black Neon and 2 Reticulated Siamese) and surface scum is about a once a week issue that something like that could help with. Unfortunately I am going blind and need a bit extra he;p with cleaning somethings and the surface scum is part of the hardest for me to know when it is done.
You can adjust the skimmer down to around 200lotres per hour and the water is diffused through the bottom of the pump with quite a large grill so it may suit your aquarium absolutely fine.
How does it work if you have a bit of surface agitation? I don't quite have waves but the Eheim skimmer just sucked in loads of air so pumped out a lot of bubbles which didn't look too good.

Hahaha see you soon! ❤️
well done good review!!
Great review Matt, I see this on @aquascapingamsterdam channel I did look and couldn’t find it for sale yet as they are so new out, good to see that they are coming to our LFS and maybe buy one from you if you have them in stock when I’m out your way. Cheers.
Thank you ❤️🐠. They are very new and quite limited in supply, we should definitely have some when you come to visit if you already haven't picked one up by then.
