Some advice for my fellow irons and noobs watching this. If you're rushing and don't have the crafting/magic for a decent amulet the Gnome Amulet from Gnome Tree Village quest has good defense boost, if you're struggling on blood moon trade in a shield, in fact do this for all of the moons over a defender if you are struggling. Defense is more important than offense especially if you are attacking against their weakness AND YOU SHOULD BE. Especially with Blood Moon while using a d. scim switch to defensive style, the damage mitigation will reduce her HP overall and speed up the fight a lot more while retaining the slash attack type. When doing the jaguar hustle you can hear an audio cue that means the pool is no longer dangerous and you can click the square to step on it and immediately click back on the jaguar. I have no sense of rhythm to count ticks so I almost always use the audio cue. The most important piece of advice I can give for blood moon is stop looking at her health. Stick to the mechanics, keep going, if your supplies get low run to the stairs and escape to resupply. You're only going to get frustrated when you see her health whipping back and forth from all the heals and sometimes RNG just isn't on your side and you will lose no matter how good your plays have been.
I don't bother with DDS specs on Blue Moon since it rarely hits due to her slash defense, focus on solid mechanics in that fight and switch your attack type on your weapon to crush if you can. If you have the barronite/rune mace that will give you a better TTK than a dragon scim because the weaknesses on these bosses are so steep when you exploit them. Rune mace can be bought from the mace vendor in outer Isla Fortis on your way to the moons and it's worth the upgrade if you're struggling.
On eclipse during the "moon walk" phase in a big circle you can turn on alt+click walking to keep pace with the moon on the long straight portions, normal click to run the corners then alt+click again to resume walking on the straights. The moon moves at the same speed as you but because it's on a shorter path it will outpace you on the corners so if you stay calm and let you character run for 4 or 5 squares on the corners, then resume walking, you will keep perfect pace. If you are using the alt+click method then click all the way at the next corner and not a few squares in front of your character because it will make their speed irregular and increase your chances of slowing down and getting hit. With the counter phase the timing can be tricky at first, click her first spawn and the second you see her lift her arm click the second, then when that one lifts their arm, click the third. If you wait for the full hit animation to play out you will be too slow to face the next enemy and block the attack. Bringing the anchor is an amazing idea here and I'm definitely going to be bringing mine on my next attempt, you can even set it to stab type attack to help with accuracy because you can miss on counters due to the debuff you get from stepping outside the protective lights and taking hits.
When your skills are low and your gear is trash your mechanics/plays are going to need to be tighter to make this grind worth doing and not burning out from them taking forever. This is a pretty sweaty post but if you are an iron/noob rushing moons then you're going to need a little sweat to get through all three of them.

@@orcd0rk thank you so much! I wanted to post something like this about mechanics but wow awesome! I agree defense is always better over dps even as a main. I’ll make a follow up blood moon specific video where I’ll do a run with noob/ iron easy gear, dps, and tank. Let me know what Iron-friendly shield I should be using for my iron gear run!

@@sangramos Adamant/Rune kite have been my go-to until I got a few pieces of blood and a fighter chest. Those shields are easy enough to get in various ways just getting to the point of having the skills to run moons.
If you have an discord handle I can shoot you a video of my tiles/running strat for eclipse to include as well.

@@orcd0rk oops I misspoke I meant to say blood moon specific follow up video. But I added my handle to my channel description so please share away! Also, I heard that granite shield is also easy to get on irons?

@@sangramos I also meant to tell you that blood moon does NOT heal when you eat. It's misinformation. I tweeted at mod ash last night and got him to confirm this.
I sent that video over on discord but I"m not sure I did it right, i'm not that savvy with the program. Cheers!

Was able to do it with dragon armor and 60 defense, it was a little rough during Eclipse Moon but the other two wnded up being much easier. Hoping to get to 70 soon so I can breeze easier with Barrows armor. 66 herblore helps as well since you'll get the super defense effect as well on pots. If you're hurting, granite shield or even rune kiteshield helps too!

@@ganjatsu5806 i completely forgot about herblore and the potion effect scaling, thank you! Yes I’ll wear barrows for my blood moon guide follow up - highly recommend everyone to get that to have an enjoyable time haha
