It sounded as if everyone was singing at the very top of their registers and it was a strain to achieve. I liked everyone individually but the blend was there as a group

I think the performance would of been better had the mics been louder . I think out of all of them , Tammy and Demetria we're the best . The lady on the end , poor thing , couldn't even hear her at all .

There will be no real Brownstone reunion without Mimi and Maxee, and we already know that Maxee is deceased and Kina doesn't want to work with them anymore. Sometimes, it's best to accept that your artistic heydey was in the 90's, your legacy is secure, and you don't have to keep trying to prove yourself and "keep up" with current artists. Because the more you try to stay relevant after a long musical hiatus, the more obvious it becomes that your musical moment has long passed.

Monifah and Teisha Lott were standouts. Teisha was my favorite. Her timbre is ultra warm and her approach is very intentional and assured. Her adlibs were the most varied, and playful. Even using notes outside of the key signature but they worked. Monifah did well. Those two seemed like actual vocalist. Confident and capable.
Everybody else was shakey bakey. Nicci's vocal approach is problematic as fvck. It's like just taking basketballs and hurling them toward the hoop with no prep, form, physical intent; yes, a couple balls will go in, the rest are EVERYWHERE. Each of her starting notes were a prob with the exception of one. Demetria has raw talent but she needs refinement and training. Her execution was hit or miss. Tammy Townsend, same thing; potential but needs work. Sounded like she either didnt warm up and was being over ambitious with her note choices. More solid than Demetria though.
This seemed like a quick throw together of parts and performance. Evidenced by how they simply went down the line with the breakup not to mention the harmonies were har-ra-bul.
